Crepes of Brittany is a beautiful and well run establishment. The staff are very professional and wonderful to work with! The coffee is the best in the area, and the crêpes are absolutely, mind-bogglingly wonderful!!My wife and I stayed in downtown Monterey for an evening on our way down the coast. We ventured out to find some decent coffee, and walked past quite a few places before we stumbled upon Crapes of Brittany. It just looked right.Ordering was easy, and we could tell that they were serious about their craft when we saw the preparation methods and the great spirit of everyone who works there. To top it off, while we were enjoying our breakfast on the patio, the owner came out and asked us how we were doing. Great guy!Check them out. It’s worth the walk, and definitely worth the food!
One of my favorite eateries in the area. All of their crepes taste delicious, they have a lot of seating outside and some seating inside. Their staff is friendly and helpful. The location is also fantastic. I have been here multiple times, and hope to try every type of crepe they offer. They also make fantastic drinks. I would highly recommend the spiced chai.
We had lunch. Had the salmon and Brie crepe, and one with pesto. Pretty tasty. A bit pricey but you are downtown. Good location. Great choices of crepes with various toppings and fillings from savory to sweet. Crepes are not precooked so they taste very fresh. Coffee drinks available as well. Good breakfast place. Outside seating available and small inside.
10 stars!? First stop for my family, returning fan of this place. Teri the part owner is a gem and I was lucky enough that he was here again. Teri blessed us with some pastries complimentary for my sisters birthday and gave some good tourist advice. Businesses like this are doing what it takes to shine and I hope they continue to get all the support they deserve. Thanks guys
Conveniently located underneath our hotel room at the Portola, Crepes of Brittany was our first stop for breakfast in Monterey. I had a ham and cheese crepe, and my husband had the strawberry crepe. Both were delicious and fresh. The ham and cheese crepe was a a big portion. The orange juice is fresh squeezed and delicious! The servers were attentive and friendly, and we received our order very quickly. The dining room is cute, cozy, and clean.
Delicious crepes. We enjoyed breakfast and coffee here so much, we came back every day during our stay. Fast, friendly, and nice breakfast selection.
Churro waffle was good.I have no idea what eggs they use. They have so much flavor.
Visited twice, first time on a busy 4th of July, most recent visit was on a standard Friday. On the weekends, they are quite busy, but during the weekdays, service is very fast. Ordered Apple Cinnamon Caramel Crepes with a Cafe au Lait and French Onion Soup; whole order came in less than 5 minutes. Very friendly staff, and excellent food. Crepes are light and decadent, just the right amount of sweet. The Cafe au Lait shouldnt look as good as it does, perfect for a cup of coffee. French Onion Soup is savory and salty, just like what youd expect. Nothing to complain about, do visit when you have the opportunity.
Enjoying the weekend in beautiful Monterey.Took a walk this morning out of the hotel lobby.Saw this busy little cafe. This place has buzzz!Unfortunately they are not gluten friendly.I just ordered a frothy spiced chai tea.I enjoyed every sip. The chai was so flavorful.I can just imagin the flavors the crepes n food would have
Wow, they live up to their great reviews. The Smoked Salmon Galette was divine and the Crepes were all so delicious. And the Orange Juice was fresh squeezed and perfectly sweet. I would love to have a restaurant like this where I live!
The crepes were great: I had a sweet and a savory one. It was still a little pricey but compared to the rest of the area its a good deal. Fun watching the rich people walk in their bathrobes from the hotel to the spa as well haha. They also offer free water.
Went on a Monday morning, no line. Waited about 10 minutes as our crepes were made fresh. The sweet crepes were not skimping on any ingredients, very satisfied with portion and fillings. Only gripe was online menu was slightly different than the one in the shop, but all in all a good experience.
40 minute wait for a crepe at 10am on a Tuesday. We didn’t stick around to find out if it was worth it.ETA: Came back Thursday and the wait was only 15 mins or so. Crepes were too buttery and had too much filling. Sweet one was too sweet. American style crepes.
My husband and I were visiting for our honeymoon and really wanted crepes. We decided to try out Brittanys and we were not disappointed. I have the apples cinnamon and honestly it was like grandmas apple pie. He had the blueberry cream cheese and said it was the best crepe hes ever eaten. So worth it. If were back in the area well definitely stop back in.
Absolutely great experience we had to make three different style of crates they were all absolutely delicious we actually had people from France in there and they said it was just like home had a good time would recommend to everyone
My food was beyond what I expected. Very good and different! I highly recommend this place 👍👍
Best crepe place in Monterey!! The service was great, all of the staff behind the counter looked like they enjoyed their jobs, the kitchen looked clean, and the food was brought out to the table when it was ready. We got a sweet and a savory crepe and both were fantastic! Highly recommend!
Lovely place for breakfast and brunch! The servers are so enthusiastic and attentive, it was great interacting with them. The food takes a while to come out because they make them fresh, but it is well worth the wait and the outdoor seating is a great place to enjoy the breeze in the shade of the trees. They have both outdoor and indoor seating and follow COVID-19 protocols. The savory crepes are huge (take up the entirety of a giant plate), and the french onion soup is great- the cheese is the perfect consistency for great cheese pulls and the onions are lightly caramelized so you can still taste the onions.
Hands down the best white mocha I’ve had! I was only in town for a few days but made it a point to stop in multiple times for some amazing coffee. The crepes and service excelled but it’s the fabulous coffee I’m missing most back home on the east coast. I’ll be back!
I had the apple cinnamon crepes and they were very good.
Im visiting my Navy son so he took me to Old Fishermans Wharf since he himself had not had a chance to visit. The first thing we noticed was the tantalizing smell wafting through the air from Crepes of Brittany so we decided to venture in for a bite. He chose the savory french brie, wild salmon and caramelized onion crepe and I decided on the strawberry cream cheese crepe. It took me back to my visit in Paris in 1985 and we both laughed and decided we had died and gone to heaven. Our white chocolate mochas were delicious, as well. Our cashier was very sweet and friendly and offered him a military discount which melted this Navy Moms heart. I wish I could move here from KCMO I love it out here so much. Cant wait to visit again and Ill definitely be stopping in for another crepe. Thanks for making the start of our day so enjoyable.
The high rating is right on! Excellent crepes found at this place. Great sidewalk seating perfect for people watching. Also indoor seating available.Order at the counter, pay, and then have the food brought out. If it’s busy, wait can be 30-40 minutes. Ours took about 45 minutes on a busy Sunday at high noon. They warned us though so we were aware.Wait was so worth it. The ham, mushroom spinach and egg savory crepe was crispy hot and awesome. So good. For desert got a strawberry Nutella crepe. A few dabs of whip cream made this little delight near perfection. So good. Wish I lived here. I’d be back once a week!
Well done crepes both sweet and savory buckwheat. The real thing
Delicious! We had a turkey sandwich, french onion soup, 1 sweet and 1 savory crepe. All were amazing. My vote is for the soup as it had a great depth of flavor!
Love this place. Dined outside and I had the Nutella, Strawberry, and Banana crepe. It was dessert for breakfast. I did the happy dance in my seat. Hubs had the cheese, egg, and ham (savory) crepe. It was delish too.
Reasonably priced. Good quality. I would recommend
Loved the Buckwheat batter that was used for my lox Crepe… added sautéed onions as third option and would have it many times over again!
By far the best crepes in town! Quality place.
Labor day weekend 9/21 Monterey was full of tourists. Myself included. This place was packed. Outside seating is first come to whomever. Grab what you can and display your order number. The crepes are excellent. I had salmon and brie plus caramelized onions. Jaime had complete which is authentic French style for ham, cheese and egg. The (small) crepe stands in Paris do not have salmon or brie. I always got complete in France. Back to Monterey. We shared a strawberry, cream cheese option. All perfect. And you can indulge in a French hard cider should you choose. The savory crepes are like the size of a placemat. Surprisingly filling. I recommend. Great spot to people watch and also judge terrible dog owners. You will laugh after 45 seconds of sitting down here. No fault of Crepes of Brittany
This place is absolutely amazing. Best coffee Ive found in Monterey, super friendly owner, and obviously fabulous crepes. Definitely going to be a regular. My husband and I are planning to go for our third time tomorrow.
Best crepes Ive had anywhere. Blueberry and cream cheese cant be beat. Amazing coffees to wash it down! Also, you cant beat the charm
Wonderful, the breakfast crepe with eggs ham and cheese was wonderful. God I cant imagine not stopping by whenever Im in the area
Owned by a french person with some employees actually speaking french makes this crêperie actually authentic and delicious. You go there for sweet or savory crepes so obviously dont expect much more other than that; apart from onion soup and a few sandwiches for variety. We had the peach melba sweet crepe which was fantastic. My wife tried the savory brie and smoke salmon crepe which was also pretty good (but not as epic as the melba). One star taken out because of the coffee. Although they have a complete list of barista favorites, its not very good... The cappuccino had WAY too much froth (nearly undrinkable) and the flavor was boring. So a bit hit and miss, but Im willing to let go of a few imperfections (like the tables being not very clean), then again being french myself and desperately trying to find anything french in California makes me biased...To be fair, order a peach melba crepe (or customize something since they do it to order) and enjoy the french music ambiance from this little cafe and then move along with your day. It could be perfect with a bit of effort but for what it is, its very pleasing.
Not bad. A little disappointed in one of the dishes I ordered. Sorry I dont remember the name. I was also disappointed in the crepes I ordered.
Terry one of the owners was so welcoming! Great food. Nice servers. Cant wait to go back and try new ones. Great coffee too.
Had the strawberry cream cheese crepe and a bite of my husbands meat, egg, and cheese crepe. Tasted amazing, as well as their fresh squeezed orange juice.
The customer service could have been friendlier. The food wasnt too spectacular either..my daughter said however the coffee was worth getting again
I had the apple cinnamon carmel crepe and they were excellent. Also got a hot chocolate with whip cream because it was a chilly morning. Was very good. Enjoyed the scenery as well.
Cute little spot with indoor and patio seating.I would definitely recommend this placeI came here with my family and friends family total party of 7 people. This was super busy for breakfast and rightfully enjoyed the food. All of us had variety of creeps. Kids had banana-Nutela creeps with vanilla ice cream.I had build your crepe made with buckwheat yummy with carmalised onion, mushrooms, tomatoes and pestoFresh Coffee, fresh squeezed orange juices
Really different. Not the usual crepe you get. But its super heavy, I couldnt finish it 😆 so much butter. Tastes awesome.
Packed with people so service is as fast as can be. Offers interesting choices of both savory and sweet crepes. Not a fan of the grain crepe with the complete option, its a little dry. The strawberry cream cheese crepe is flavorful and just the right amount of sweet. Prices for the area are comparable.
Super good super reasonable everything is really good on the menu well worth your efforts
Great food, when it gets busy its the wait is up to an hour. The food is worth it though especially if you can get a seat
Omgggg best crepes ive had in america so far. The last time i had something so tasty i was in italy. Will definitely go back.
Delicious! The people are so kind, and the cinnamon apple caramel crepe is to die for.
The mood of this resarutant was pretty friendly which I like it. Food was really good. Also, their cappuccino was pretty huge. My friend ordered medium size, but I thought it was soup because it was super huge!! LolAlso, tip for people who love to take a picture, you should take a selfie a lot in that restaurant. Because the light was perfect for selfie!I really love this place because for good food and good selfie! 😁
This is the first thing I think of in Monterey! I could literally eat there every day of my life, such good food and the people there are great!
Sweet Nutella crepes was delicious. French owners 🇫🇷
Ive been craving crepes since I had them at this heavenly place to say it created an addiction is a understatement I only wish I lived in Cali and could return daily.Your crepes taunt me in my dreams Brittany.
Delicious variety and fast service.
Ok crepe, fun French theme. Felt a lot like a fast food place in Epcot. Cannot imagine how it got 4.5 stars
