Having smoked in hundreds of lounges across the country it’s nice when you come across one that stands out. This lounge has a nice public smoking room with comfortable chairs and a nice layout. The humidor has a selection of varied brands focused more on legacy than boutiques. What blew me away was the tour of the members lounge. If I lived here I would buy a membership in a heart beat. If you read this review today shop owner I will gladly buy a day pass since I am going to be here all day :)

I recently moved to Monterey from the Central Valley with my Wife. I have been smoking cigars since 1996 and owned a shop for a short time. I love collecting and aging Cigars. I discovered The Humidor about a week after we moved here. Its a beautiful shop with a great selection of brands. The public lounge is great. I find myself there almost everyday smoking a great CIgar and working on my computer. I have met some great people so far in the lounge. Kevin one of the employees says I need to meet the owner someday. I look forward to it. 5 stars!

Definitely the place to go if youre looking for cigars

I went in as somebody without much experience collecting cigars. Explained that I had been using a tupperdor for months and was wanting a nice cigar box. The older guy upsold me on a $125 Cigar box which ended up being Chinese made even though he claimed its from a US Company. The cigar box leaks air and will not hold humidity above 64% regardless of using 2 72% Bovedas. I had to toss both the hygrometer and humidifier that it came with as they were both plastic, produced in China, and did not read correctly. I have since purchased a premium digital hygrometer, which I have calibrated separately on my own to ensure accuracy. And the box cannot get above 64% for more than a full day. (Even after seasoning it drops down in humidity within a few days, so what am I suppose to season the box weekly?) The top lid is a centimeter or two thin, as with the base. Found a very similar box online from a retailer for under $65, with comments saying it was trash. Thats what I get for being a gullible beginner I guess. The man was friendly however, and gave me some nice recommendations on a few $20 sticks, only reason Im giving 2 stars and not one. Maybe this box is just defective, but theres no driving back with my receipt as I was on a vacation and it was suppose to be a splurge purchase.

Great cigar collection but shes quiet I was the only one there which made it quite boring.

I love this place. Super relax and chill. Prices are a few bucks higher than other lounges in the area, and membership to the private area is kinda.expensive (Im not a member but only cause I am not a permanent resident here). But the location when you get there explains a the higher prices (1 block up from cannery row, by Bubba Gumps) not out of this world higher by the way. The public smoking area is very comfortable nice leather chairs, big screen customer controlled TV. Theres a nice steakhouse next door too if you get hungry!One cool secret is the paid parking lot off Foam st. Has free parking. You just tell the attendant youre there for The Humidor.The humidor inside is well stocked with high end brands like Davidoff, Opus, God Of Fire, and other well known like Tatujaje, Rocky Patel, Gurkha, Oliva.If youre a cigar lover its worth a stop. I only give it 4 stars cause I cant speak for the member lounge and I wish I could drink some bourbon, beer or wine there.

This is the best and largest cigar lounge Ive been to. It has a huge lounge with flat panel TVs, leather couches, and a walk in humidor with the finest selection of cigars. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I come here to watch the game and relax after work. Its right above the Whaling Station and you can order food for a quick bite. Definately the best in California.

Found this shop a block up from Cannery Row. Have the best cigars and service. Watched the Warriors game on their big screen in the lounge. One of the nicest lounge Ive been to so far.

My husband and I went here during the AT&T golf event and we loved it. The place looks like a cigar longe from Havana with nice Cuban decor and relaxing couches to enjoy a cigar. The owner Dave is friendly and found my husband the cigars he wanted. It’s also next door to Sardine Factory where we had dinner with free parking in the back.

This shop is in a great location, but the service is HORRIBLE. Older guy with the poofed up gray hair and glasses couldnt be bothered to get up from his seat and when we asked about a particular cigar, the most constructive feedback he gave was: Its good. Most unhelpful service Ive received from a cigar place, which is very disappointing as we would have purchased something had the service been better

The lounge here is the best with big screen TVs and comfy leather couches. Fine Tajuaje selection of cigars and the staff was extremely helpful in recommending a couple boxes for my brother’s wedding.

Really nice place to have a cigar and relax. The cigars were reasonably priced considering CA taxes. The selection is mainly higher end smokes but they have something for every budget and pallet. Non alcoholic beverages are offered on the honor system.

We had barchelor party celebration with all my best men and it was a blast. We rented a privite room and had fine cigars, ordered food from the Whaling Station, and watched the game on the big sceen. This place rocks!

They have everything you need for that aficionado in your life... pipes, best selection of cigars and cigar/pipe related gifts.The smoking lounge is the best around and is perfect to relax and escape the troubles of the world. Highly recommend this place. Stop in and see David (Owner) or Roger (General manager) they will take care of you as they are very knowledgeable about the world if fine cigars.

We arrived in on Friday December 16 2016 we 1st had dinner at Sardines and finished the night with a great cigar. Nice fellow helped me out and the room had a very nice feel to it . I will be back next year for sure and have my cigar . Thanks Humidor.

I come here every weekend this is the best cigar place in Monterey! The owner is very knowledgeable and always helps out. There is a bar underneath that will bring drinks up to the lounge and its a great place to unwind! And just to put the cherry on top the owner had stayed open for us multiple times to let us finish our cigars all in all great place!!!!

Had been wanting to check this place out for a while - stopped in on a Wednesday early evening. Met the owner who was very congenial and gave a tour as well as described the benefits of membership. Im not in Monterey enough to warrant a membership but I did enjoy finding a new place where I could sit in a plush leather chair, watch a big screen TV, and enjoy a fine smoke.Larger humidor with some very nice cigars in stock. Lots of other accessories - lighters, cutters, ashtrays, clothing, etc.Small assortment of pipes and loose tobaccos.Very nice!

This place is tight.They have a whole room of cigars, good selection. And a nice lounge with a tv and comfy couches where you can smoke and relax.
