Vaughn’s is the best! We are a family of 5 and we drove 3.5 hours to come to our piercing appointment on August 1st, 2021. We were doing a family piercing to make a memory together so it was a really special trip. Shay was our piercer and she was AWESOME!! She was very professional, did perfect placement (for reference we had 5 helix piercings and a set of nipple piercings), explained everything in detail many times, had good energy, and was very kind. The nipple piercing was a difficult one because my husband had a lot of scarring and slight deformation due to a botched piercing from years ago at a bad place. Shay was patient with him and explained exactly what the challenges were and what she would have to do to re-pierce them. Even though they couldn’t be pierced exactly the same and she had to use different sized jewelry on each side, they look awesome and you would never know that they don’t exactly match. He is really happy with his new nipple piercings and has had no pain during his healing time. She was really honest when we got there because we originally all wanted the same Tragus piercing but one of our kids had different ear anatomy so she said it wouldn’t work. So, we all got our Helix and we are super happy. Their jewelry is top notch. We bought a solid gold piece for our daughter’s previous nostril piercing and even though it was a few hundred dollars it looks super beautiful on her and makes her feel really fancy so it was worth it. Adriana was working at the jewelry counter and she was so kind, patient, and knowledgeable about the jewelry pieces. The two of them together made it a great experience and worth a 7 hour road trip (there and back) and we would definitely come back to get pierced by Shay again. They even wrote down our piercing info including sizes on a card to keep in our wallets to make jewelry shopping easier. I give this place a 20 out of 10!!

I got my bridge done here a while back and let me say, the staff is so kind! And I absolutely love my piercing, it was done safely and professionally. 3 star for they cleannessOnly issue I have is that the jewelry for my rook isn’t big enough after piercing, it’s been 2 months and I didn’t realize the issue it’s causing till today. It’s still irritated and hard to move the bar whatsoever to clean.They are clean and very nice can be pricey for some people. Was about $85 for my rook with the jewelry and the jewelry is good metal.Edit: I took the peircing out because of pain. The piercer who removed it said you put in a healed bar instead of a bigger bar for swelling

Love Vaughn Body Arts! I got my two most recent piercings here out of 11 total after i learned about the importance of safe professional piercing, and my experience was awesome. The staff is all very kind and welcoming and will walk you through the whole process of being pierced. Today I got my tragus pierced again. The staff was super informative about what may have gone wrong the first time when I got it pierced elsewhere. We had an appointment for which we brought a slew of paperwork (IDs, birth certificate, COVID vaccination card) but we forgot my daughters school ID. I get that these places have to follow rules but come on. We offered to have my son text a photo of it but they said it had to be the physical card. I said that she and my husband could stay and get started and I would run home to get the card - no dice. They had to have all of the paperwork first. We dashed home and tried to get back and they said we took too long. Then, they charged my credit card for a late cancellation. They were snippy, rude and in no way kind to my 15 year old getting this piercing for her birthday.

I was really disappointed with my experience here. So many of my friends gushed about their experience here. I wanted a Christina piercing but was turned away because I didnt have the proper anatomy. This surprised me because almost all of my research confirmed I was a good candidate for this piercing as well as my own twin sister has this piercing; she got it four years ago with no issue. I would have maybe accepted this answer because theyre the professional and Im not... But they recommended a VCH instead. And I said I know for sure I dont have the anatomy for that, I have almost no hood. They offered to check and I relented. Upon inspection of me they offered to use a tool to see if it could be done regardless of my basically non-existent hood. I declined because at this point it seemed apparent to me that it was about comfortability. I dont think this shop is really comfortable with Christina piercings and would rather just do VCHs. I came into the shop 04/25/2021. Staff was friendly but that doesnt make me any less disappointed in my overall experience.

As recommended by my best friends I scheduled an appointment at Vaughns Body Arts shop for an Industrial piercing and that has been the best decision I have ever made! When I was let in you could already tell how clean and well maintained the shop is! They have such a wide variety of choices for jewelry that is high quality and good value. Cody (the owner and my piercer) and Shay (who helped me out as a receptionist) were both very professional and walked me through the entire procedure thoroughly while also telling jokes, I felt very safe and comfortable with them. Then Cody walked me through the cleaning of all their equipment and I was very impressed, as this isnt something you see often with other piercers in YouTube videos. Im so happy with my piercing I really believe having a phenomenal piercer with tons of experience helped the piercing not hurt but also with healing process since my ear never swelled up or go irritated during nor after the procedure! Today I had a great experience at Vaughn body arts! I got 2 lobe piercings, a daith piercing, and some jewelry for some old piercings, too.From the moment I walked in Lexi behind the counter and Cody, the piercer, made me feel comfortable and at ease! They take covid seriously and I really appreciate that! Lexi took her time looking through their beautiful jewelry selection with me and helping me to find the perfect earrings.When it came time to get pierced Cody made sure to show me that the jewelry had been sterilized properly and then breathed with me and walked me through every piercing. The lobes were a breeze but I was a little more nervous about the daith, but it was totally easy peasy, and I know much of that is thanks to Cody’s experience and how at ease him and Lexi made me feel at the shop. Afterwards they walked me through aftercare and told me to come back or call if I had absolutely any questions. I will definitely come back to get more piercings done.Thanks guys :-)

Got my nose pierced today by the owner; he did a great job of listening to my concerns as well as explaining the process. He was very gentle and made it a pleasant experience. He was also very knowledgeable and helped me pick the right placement for my piercing that works best specially for my nose. He even took the time to answer questions about a piercing I had done at another shop.The receptionists where both very friendly and kind. They let me hold the jewelry up to my nose and guided me in choosing the right jewelry to fit my wants and needs.The whole process went very smoothly and they are very organized. They hold a high standard for sanitation and cleanliness in there shop; they even take is as far as doing a sanitation test on the jewelry for you to approve before doing the actual piercing.I highly recommend this shop for your piercing needs; I know I will return here for mine.

Theyre on the expensive side but worth every penny. The piercers know what theyre doing, they take their time and make you feel comfortable. Also, the piercings Ive gotten from them have had a really smoothe heal time. They have a great selection of jewelry that you can have put in instead of the boring starter jewelry at most places so you can really fall in love with your new piercing from the get go. I highly recommend this place to everybody!

I wish I got all my piercings here!!! I went here today to get a second piercing on my earlobes and I was very impressed by my experience. Piercing is clearly the owner’s passion and he and his staff were more than happy to walk me through jewelry prices, which jewelry is most appropriate for certain piercings, the healing process, and how to clean my piercing. I was especially impressed by the piercing process and how the owner worked with me to make sure I was happy with the piercing placement and that I was mentally prepared when the piercing took place. I got my navel pierced today and it was an awesome experience. Im terrified of needles and this was my first piercing after having my ears pierced when I was younger. I barely felt a thing, and I was comfortable the whole time. The staff were very friendly and professional. They helped ease my nerves about getting the piercing, making the experience even more pleasant. I live out of town but they are definitely worth the trip and Ill be coming back here for any future piercings!

Great, upbeat crew. Very clean and organized business. Took our four year old to have her ears pierced. They were great with her and made her feel very comfortable and gave her complete control. She was explained what was involved in what she wanted, and asked multiple times if it was her decision and if she wanted to proceed. That couldnt have helped better with her mood. Two days after the first ear, she asked to go back and was happy the whole time, without the least bit of worry or apprehension. They empowered her again and made sure she was ready, and was done easy with no tears. It was a great experience that she speaks fondly of, and she loves her new ear rings. After care was thoroughly explained, and there was zero issues.

Honestly, no the best place! I went to get two. Nostrils piercing for 50 bucks x and come back 2 days after to get mother side done,85 was not even alined,alrigut bibes bur bad work ethics! I highly recommend other places!

I walked in with a friend - I got an industrial piercing and she got her helix pierced. Cody was calm, professional, and showed us all of our jewelry options and went over prices. He sterilized our jewelry and showed us the process of how it became clean. After my friend got pierced first, he cleaned his hands and the station, wiped down the table, and took his time making sure everything was clean and ready for the next piercing. He made sure we had all possible information and told us to ask any questions and email or call if we had any concerns. My piercing itself was very quick and smooth and Cody was very calming. I would recommend this place to anyone!!

Very, very friendly and helpful staff. Vaughns only does piercings, no tattoos. The jewelry is wonderful - something for everyone. As I already have piercings, I opted for a rose gold ring for my tragus. The piercing technician put it in for me. I usually have trouble getting it in, but she was done before I heard the ring click in place! Definitely go to Vaughns if you need jewelry, or are just putting together a wish list for Christmas, birthday, anniversary, etc..

On a scale of 1 to 5 there arent enough stars because Cody exceeds expectations. Ive got a good many piercings (17 total now) and Ive really seen the good and the bad. This particular piercing Id had done previously by another shop and the experience was less than subpar. I came to the shop because I was referred here by Vice and Virtue in Atlanta. Having had excellent experiences with them I considered but since it was 200+ miles to drive I decided to try a more local shop since Im in San Diego. The piercing hurt horribly and was completely crooked at the local shop Im talking about. After this horrible experience I decided to take the good advice and drive the 200+ miles to Vaughn Body Arts. I was nervous having to drive so far and had REALLY high expectations. Man, those expectations were completely met! The shop is super clean. He was there right on time in the morning. The jewelry is super high quality. There were many beautiful and unique pieces. Everything was sterilized properly in front of me and explained in great detail even though I have many other piercings. He was SO gentle and when he pierced my septum I honestly didnt even notice! He took the time to show me the most gentle way to clean it and assured me that if I needed anything at all to just get in touch with him. Overall would I suggest driving 200+ miles for a piercing from this shop? Absolutely. Dont make my mistake and try somewhere else first! The location is beautiful so if you want a piercing done by somebody who is kind, educated, clean and who will put the best quality jewelry on your body AND enjoy a beautiful area at the same time you should definitely go in (even if you have drive from southern oregon or in my case, San Diego)! I am sure I will be back for all of my piercing/body jewelry needs in the future! Thank you so much for the outstanding experience!
