Rick is the man. Always able to fit me in when needed. He just did a fresh rebuild on my 400 and it runs like new. Also just did a go thru on my 02 650r that has been sitting for 10’yrs. you would never even know it had stopped running. Always professional, never price gouges and gives it to you straight. Found Rick and the folks (Shawn & Paul) via an internet search. I was looking for a good independent shop to service my 06 Roadstar 1700.What I found was a Great shop with superb mechanics and customer service. I needed some new tires mounted and a brake line flush. Shawn and Paul took care of everything for me and even stayed in touch by phone throughout the process. I found their work to be excellent and their prices more than fair. For anyone looking to get away from the dealer rat race and pricing structure, I would highly recommend Montclair Powersports!

I had problems with a different service and my bike never worked correctly. I took it to Rick and his guys and they were nothing but first class professionals. They got my bike running just like brand new. They also took pictures to show me what was wrong with it. I am so glad I found them, I will be a customer for life. I highly recommend them for any of their services.

Even though I live 40 min away, they are the only shop I go to. Had no clue what was wrong and why it wouldn’t start, but they got it and told me everything what was wrong, and brought her back to life within a few days. Great mechanic and excellent work who knows they’re stuff!

I came in just before his rush of appointments, to ask if he may break a nut and bolt off my cmx-500 to place a crash bar. I did not ask him to place it on for me after and he went out of his way to place it on professionally when he knew he was short on time. This was my first of many to come visits, very professional, polite and mindful of your motorcycle. I highly recommend this shop to anyone if they need a mechanic that works for the passion and love for motorcycles.

I went to Montclair Powersports over the weekend for a tire change on my 2015 HD V-ROD. They are one of few shops that are able to change a tire of that size. When I got there I met with Richard, he took my bike in right away and started working it. I was out in 45 minutes. Being a new bike owner, Richard was a straight up guy. Didnt BS me on anything. Even topped off my oil free of charge. Ill be back for future services & also definitely recommend him.

Recently had some insurance work and WOW the way the bike looked when it came out was 100 times better then when it went in. I was blown away how he was able to get the work done and go above and beyond making it look better then it had in a very long time. It was detailed to a glossy finish and everything had been repaired. Been a long time customer here and will continue to come back for my repair needs.

So im a old school guy .I was looking for a motorcycle mechanic that i could trust .because i used to be one a long time ago and know about this kinda stuff .Iv been everywhere and cant seam to trust any of them .so one day im over at cycle rider in Montclair getten my chain and sprockets and ask the guy do you know of any good motorcycle shops around he said yep .Montclair Powersports im like okay .So i had to go back to get my sprockets went back home and installed eveything and my master link to but found out that its better to run a Continuous chain with no master link. and it takes a Special tool to crush the link end to make the chain Continuous and i don`t have that tool .So i called Montclair PowerSports talk to Rick told him what i needed to do he said bring it over . so off i went .i get there and talk to Rick and kinda see what kind of guy he is well after 5 min of talking he worked on my bike . i said thanks and said id be back cause i knew i found the right shop to work on my bike. So this time i called Rick told him i needed him to do a service on my bike cause its never been done he said bring it over . So i drop it off and go over it with Rick. and Rick wanted me to talk with Shawn and so we discussed what we where gonna do and i ask Shawn a few Key Questions and there was no hesitation and Shawn even took it a little further about how he use to work on Factory bikes Race bikes that is .Hes old School like me.They take there time to Talk to you the Customer .So i went get my bike today and go over it with Shawn we talked And he makes a Graph of what the valves are set at when it comes in and and its with in specs he leaves it alone .in my case he had to adjust too valves back to specs .So that`s a good thing. We talked about my carbs i won`t go in to detail on this but Shawn Also Synchronizes the Carburettors and that kind of work is cool no buddy talks about that kinda stuff anymore.So its time to take care of the biil and get on my bike and ride it .Shawn did a Hell of a good job my bike ran pretty good when i Brought it in Now it Runs even better .its just Smoother and Pulls Smooth and hard from about 4,500 to 9,500 even at the lower RPMs it works Good .and it go`s good for me. So eveything that was talked about was done on my bike ..... they even washed and wax it that was cool . So Good Mechanics That Really Care about the Customer Are Hard To Find And Rick And Shawn Care .....These Guy`s know what there Doing AND are Good at it ......And yes i would Recommend these Guys to Anyone .

Rick is like the God of watercraft. He brings the dead back to life. My 1990 Kawasaki Jet Mate sat dead on the trailer for 7 years needing a new engine. In a blink of an eye, Rick did his magic, rebuilt the old engine and the Jet Mate was alive, back on the water. Both Rick and Shawn are the most friendly, pleasant and honest people to work with. Whatever toy you have, surf or turf, Rick and Shawn are the ones to see for any issues. They both have the knowledge and expertise. I highly recommend their work. 5 STARS PLUS.

Couple days ago the dash board of my bike suddenly went off and cant turn the engine on anyways, and a few minute later it is working well as usual. But it is dangerous if it happens while ridding. So I take it to check. Rick had help me fix the line problem and check meticulously, make sure that it wont happen again.

When you need a bike service or tires for example it’s not like a car.most want you to bring in the wheel off the bike. Being an everyday rider that doesn’t work, that’s how I found this place. I bought some tires down the street walked a block up dropped with bike and done rode away. Then came back before a long trip needed my chain done pro stopped in and they busted it out in an hour. They generally have 2-3 days for work on bikes. But anyway after going to the rest of other shops I like this place the most. I call and tell them about issues I’m having and they work with me opposed to being super short and rude like the many. They know their stuff so I don’t bother considering going to other shops even when I moved 40 min away.

Rick was awesome! Showed up at 5:30 in the evening I was stranded! Needed my rear bearings done...he kept the shop open for me and it was a challenging job! Very reasonable prices great guy! Very profisional. Highly recomended!

Awesome customer service and fair prices! Ive been coming to Montclair Powersports for about 3 years now to service my 2011 Yamaha FJR1300 and my 2018 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports.I keep going back to see Rick for service on my bikes because he has done a great job every time. He is also fair in his pricing which makes riding possible. He charges less than the Yamaha dealership in Rancho Cucamonga that I had received service from for about 6 years. I made the switch because their labor and parts prices became too high for me to bear.I also like the fact that Rick comes across as an honest family man. He also takes the time to explain things so the customer can have an understanding of what can and cant be done.I would suggest giving Rick a try. He is also a big supporter for military veterans so show your military ID for a discount.

Rick is the freakin man!So I have had this 2 month long battle with the fuel injection light on my moto which prevented it from rising above a certain level of rpms. To fix it, I would have had to purchase a $600+ throttle component. Same conclusion another moto repair shop made. Rick however did some kind of moto wizardry which he is able to explain in greater detail, not only did he fix the low rpms the other shop couldnt, but I didnt need to purchase the expensive part. Dude knows a hell of a lot about bikes and you can learn a whole lot from him. On top of that, my ride now performs crazy good. I took the long way home today.Rick has been only courteous and his prices are very reasonable here. Let him know at least a week in advance that you are coming in for best times and you are in good hands. Ill be coming back.

I would have to say best service i have had in a long time broke my chain on my bike and these guy stayed the extra hour after they had closed just to help me get on my way.. this is a shop full of guys that will help on short notice i will be going back to get more work done on my fzr 600.. at this shop thanks guys

I am the proud owner of a 2003 Honda Super Hawk.With close to 52k miles the engine started making some noise that concerned me.I knew it had to be the cam chain tensioners.After contacting several places in the area I was amazed that everyone was afraid to touch this engine.The guys at Montclair Powersports confirmed my concerns.They ordered the parts, installed them adjusted the valves, changed the oil and spark plugs, all for a very reasonable price.My bike runs like new again.Appointments are recommended if you need major work done.I will be returning when other work in needed.
