Clean, and organized. Would have given the store five stars. But the store didnt have the product or no longer sells the products that was listed as in store on online.

My visits to this store are always cheerful. It is inviting, clean and set up for flawless shopping. I commend Rich (store manager) for always taking a hands on approach in keeping this store neat as a pin. Either building displays, bringing product to the floor etc... its wonderful to see someone take pride in what their doing. Everyone here is very nice. If your in the neighborhood and need an item or several, be sure to stop by.

This ACME is lovely. Its well stocked, clean, and the produce looks nice, fresh, and plentiful. The only thing I dont prefer is self-checkout. They only had one register open in the store. I know everyone is doing it but ACME should hire workers instead of making workers out of their customers.

Go to checkout … there is only me with a large order and four store employees. None of which are working a register. One person is standing by the door looking at the registers. Second is behind counter doing nothing. Third is manager standing near registers doing nothing. Fourth is person cleaning other registers. Only self checkout.. I ask why .. im told a fifth person is on break for 15 minutes so nobody is working the registers ? Not cool.. I’m not on the clock at the store. I’m just paying you guys. Next thing I know I’ll be slicing my own deli meat.

Beware...I alerted customer service on 11/1/2021 that most of their 2% milk was expired. I went back today, 11/4/2021, and THE EXPIRED 2% MILK WAS STILL ON THE SHELF, AS WELL AS MORE ADDITIONAL EXPIRED MILK. Usually, this Acme just doesnt order enough 2% milk for all their customers, and the self stays empty.There is a serious problem going on in your dairy section that has been going on for years now...NOTHING IS EVER DONE ABOUT IT!!!

Dont buy the meat here. Literally it goes off and brown in a day.Just bought $15 of chicken breasts and had to throw half away.All else is good but avoid the fresh meat

I only went in for a second the store is very clean, it is a little maze like because the aisles behind the first set are not labeled in the front where you walk past. The customer service desk was on the phone but helped me while doing so, and was still friendly

I love this supermarket. Amazing deals and their deli section is fantastic. Homemade soups, roasted and fried chicken...very easily accessible ready made cold cuts. Even their kitchen goods section is great. Best oven mitts Ive ever had are from Acme. Great spot cant recommend enough

The smallest selection of different food items. Produce not a strong point, either. Good when you need a few things but not for my main shopping.

It was not good 😐 😕 At first was great New Market havent visit before. Only in JC. Acme, The machine wouldnt take my card Then wouldnt take cash; Had to go at front desk to be all rung up again And u know they dont believe u that what u said was mark down She left the counter 3x to check My back hurting from standing and standing Took longer to pay for groceries than shopping for them..THE WORSE ✔ OUT EVER !! I do a lot of shopping...

Actually the team of people there are very very nice and very professional. The problem is I had a little trouble with the checkout self-service and no one was able to help me and suggested that I call the bookkeeper. Well Ive been trying to reach the bookkeeper now for 2 days and nobody ever answers the phone because the self checkout charged me $47.71 which was incorrect because I only purchased. a medium sized jar of jelly and the regular size jar of Skippy peanut butter and I know they dont almost cost $48. And as of this fighting I still have nobody answering the phone.

Found exactly what I was shopping for (in abundance) after going to 3 other competitors over 2 days. Took me a few minutes to find only because Im not that familiar with the store layout. Cost a little more, but it was worth the trip.

The team that works there is so knowledgeable and they never ever mind answering any of your questions. I loved it.... They had everything I needed and the prices were so much more reasonable than other stores

This is not a real supermarket. they’re mainly interested in selling $10 bodies of body wash I’m not interested in selling things like paper plates aluminum foil or other inexpensive items the signs have different captions depending on which direction you’re facing so it is impossible to find what you’re looking for on the aisle signs without walking back-and-forth moreover they are double isles They’re not marked so you literally have to keep walking up and down to find out what aisle your in. Very poor selection and confusing placement of reasonably priced items and highlighting and spotlighting of expensive cosmetics supplements electronics etc. this is not a supermarket

Absolutely loved my ACME experience..Eugene and Keysha were the best..their customer service was magnanimous...actually they made us feel like we were regulars (though this was our first time...)..I am so glad that their is an ACME close to home...now I do not have to travel to Jersey City or Brigantine, I can shop in Montclair and say hi to Keysha and Eugene again...❤

Nice neighborhood store. Good prices. Nice sales.However, Shelves often empty. Staff always looking down like they don’t want to be spoken too. Staff at checkout aren’t aware of sales fliers posted around the store. The “service desk staff wears blinders...often waiting in line to purchase products behind that counter and the staff, two or three, focus on one customer, instead of dividing and serving others in line.Who’s managing that service desk? Actually, who’s managing that store?Also, I’m reprimanded in a loud tone at check out line when I don’t comply with the “RULES of the COMPANY”. How do I comply with rules that I’m not aware of?

Nice store, I go often between here and Whole Foods in Montclair and West Orange.

Its nearly impossible to find things here. I saw Bearnaise sauce next to Brut cologne.

They deserve 5 stars! Ive been coming here for a couple of months now. The supermarket is always clean, produce is of good quality and fresh and, staff is helpful; from front desk all the way back to the meat department guys. They go out of their way to be helpful and I have experienced it multiple times. I happened to purchase an item by mistake during covid19 and I ended up speaking with the manager of the store - problem solved 1, 2, 3. Theyre all great professionals!!! Thank you all from ACME Montclair for making my shopping experience easy. Thats why I keep on coming back!

I will say, I was not impressed with this market. The selection was limited, the staff was less than friendly and helpful, and it was absolutely packed to the gills with other customers who were not following social-distancing protocols. I was not thrilled with the prices of most products, and it was not a a pleasant shopping experience.

This is a great shop because its clean well managed, Very few customers. its not a huge store with a million choices But you can find everything you need here

This store has perfected the definition of chaos by randomly stocking food with their eyes closed. Where is the Orange juice? Back of aisle 1. Fruit juice? front of aisle 12. Sports Drinks? aisle 7. Flavored water? middle of aisle 8. Coffee? aisle 5. Canned food? Lets put a couple cans in each aisle based on how Acme thinks you should use them.

It was neat and clean and social distancing was enforced but it was a little lacking in customer service. No one greeted me and when I asked someone where something was on the floor it was an imposition and I got only a vague response. Yea ill stick with my regular food store. Pricing was on par with other places so..nothing too special for me here

Lines are always short, and there’s always parking in the front. Not to mention the parking spaces are pretty wide. Low risk of someone hitting your door trying to get out their car.

I give Acme a 5 star because they have been nothing but good especially in this covid19 period. I didnt get 1 pc of chicken from my 8 pc and I called in. The manager said pick up a new pack or get a refund and the process was flawless. In store a manager followed me through the shelves searching for dates. I believe those were worth mentioning. The store has been more than adequately stocked thus far. Today was a rush! I got out quickly!

I love this market. Sales are great and frequent. Boars Head deli meats are my favorite.

I must say I was a bit surprised at all the sales, and discounts along with redeemable coupons. The staff was amazingly friendly and knowledgeable about the store layout. This was my first ever shopping at an acme store and I promise theyll see me more often. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Love this store, always look at the flyer, they have some really good deals weekly that start on Friday. Also, their bakery is excellent. Meat department, you always get a break. Sunday mornings are best for managers specials or buy one get one free! Love it.

Look at this poor excuse for a special. They put live lobsters out at Acme Food stores all across the nation, on ice in small tiny bags and slowly bringing their temperatures down so that they just sit there and die. This is a really poor showing on their part and I cannot lie idle anymore. As I went to find a manager to talk to about this cruelty to animals I asked a man in a polo named Ignacio if he was the manager. He said yes and laughed at me before I even had a chance to speak. When I asked him why he laughed he said he was being personable. I didnt say anything funny, in fact I didnt say anything at all besides ask him if he was the manager. he made absolutely no sense. I told him about the lobster situation and he said this is how EVERY ACME does it. He said this is how all 180 acme stores are doing it. This manager was so absolutely rude and unprofessional. I have called PETA and this isnt over.

They have a good variety of grocery items for emergency purchases. Prices are reasonable for the location.

As todays supermarkets go, it is small. Almost an expanded convenience store and the layout is very confusing at times. Things are where they fit rather than in a logical pattern.This is a good store if you need a couple of standard items that are not unique, You would not do the weekly shopping here since the selection is limited. You also would not go here for an item you would look for in Fairway. I read the Yelp reviews and disagree with most of the negative ones. I have never met a rude cashier (usually the opposite) or had a bad line. Same for the deli. I usually go M, W or F around 9:30 AM. I will say the prepared food is overpriced.Basically, you have a local grocery store that works for what it needs to be. Its average but a decent alternative to the highly overpriced and overrated Kings.

Good sales. Free turkey for spending only $100 just started. All set for Thanksgiving dinner. Aisles are a bit small and can be a bit hard to get around but sales made it well worth it.

I will never shop in this store again and I usually shop at this location 4-5 times a week.the store employee Ethan made me feel very uncomfortable and stated I made him feel awkward when I was trying to have a friendly conversation with him. He moved away from me as if I was disease plagued carrier. Again I will never shop there.

Very nice, clean store.Some of the aisles were a bit tight (2 carts had difficulty passing each other) When I went to pay our shopping cart did not fit down where the registers were and staff was not kind about accommodating me through an aisle that fit.It was a first time visit to the store since it changed from A&P.

This Acme in MTC, is one of the best in the area. The people are great.

Acme has increased their food selections along with modernized their checkout center with self-check outs, however their prices are much higher than Shoprite. Having said that, its great when you need to pick up a few items and want to avoid crowds. I also love the prepared roast chicken, again higher than Shoprites roast chicken, but more flavorful and worth the extra cost . They also have a good selection of deserts, I often pop in for a single serving slice of cake to satisfy my sweet craving

This Acme was very clean, staff was welcoming. The bathroom was immaculate. The prices on frozen items are a little higher than Shoprite.

I used to love Acme in Clifton and was happy to see this one open after it closed. But without Todd its just not the same. This store is cramped and never has the Lancaster premade meatballs that I love. Overall its just an average store. Only bonus is that it is never too crowded.
