Lou and Andrea are amazing. I’ve been here a couple times looking for dh tires and and they pointed in the right direction. Other times was for grips and other stuffed needed and they’ve been super cool. I highly recommend them for all needs. They are super knowledgeable. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I drove over 2.5 hours to get to this shop (as they carry the amazing Revel bikes). The shop owners are so very helpful and will pull out all the stops to make sure you leave satisfied. They are really great and knowledgeable people. They make buying a new bike even more fun! Truly great people run this shop. If you’re getting work done or buying a bike I guarantee you will leave 100% happy. What a great experience!

I bought my mountain bike from Andrea and Lou and I cannot speak highly enough about my experience. From the phone call before I stepped into their shop to the day of experience - perfect all around. They’ve just got themselves a customer for life. I feel great heading into the world of MTB knowing I’ve got Pedal Montclair in my corner.

Just got a Kona dew deluxe commuter bike from pedal montclair. Great experience! Andrea walked me through the options and what I would want to look for in a commuter. Also helped me with a helmet. Lou walked me through the bike after setting it up completely for someone my size. Great shop I will definitely use again.

TL;DR - Lou speaks to bikes and Andrea speaks to people. Its great.I have been using this shop for years, and this is true, I did not review them earlier because they werent on Google yet.I stumbled upon them by accident after having subpar experiences at shops in the area. Lous knowledge on bicycles is second to none. And you may be thinking: But my bike shop mechanic is smart too.Yeah, but only Lou touches my bike. I have seen bicycles DROPPED ON THE FLOOR off their hangers by young apprentices not being overseen in other shops (nice shops, that you have probably been to). I had a heart attack seeing that and it wasnt even my bike.They have been super helpful during my entire cycling journey since I found them. Full disclosure, I ride a road bike and this shop is heavy on mountain bikes. That being said, Andrea orders roadie gear too so we dont feel left out. Why would you go elsewhere? This is the bike shop equivalent of your local hardware store. It looks small, but my god when you are inside you have a hard time imagining something they dont have. Of course, there has been a pandemic so every yahoo is on a bike now. They still bend over backwards to not only get to everyone, but to serve them purposefully and professionally. Look, it used to be if a shop is busy then they were honest. Now every shop is busy, but this one really is the truth. Just go there and check it out, if Im wrong Ill eat my bicycle shorts, but Im not so go.

THE quintessential mom and pop bike shop. Lou and Andrea are a phenomenal team who provide excellent service. Honest, professional, and community oriented. Lou is easily one of, if not the best bike mechanics anywhere close to here. This is the only shop I trust for just about anything on my mountain bikes. Highly recommended, 5 stars!

Ok - there are bike shops, and then there is Pedal Montclair. Yes, they will fix your bike - expertly. They will sell you the right bike or gear with detailed knowledge, and no pressure. And most importantly, Lou and Andrea are welcoming, honest, straight forward, wonderful people.Ive been to several other bike shops in the area - youre either ignored, or feel like youre being taken advantage of - Pedal feels like your neighborhood bike shop should.

I cant say enough good things about Andrea and Lou and Pedal Montclair. Their customer service is outstanding - they truly go above and beyond. Gave us an honest assessment on two really old bikes (that were not worth repairing). And went out of their way to be helpful re: bike disposal (we were in the middle of a move and could not do this ourselves). Brought two Elliptigos there for repair and again, the customer service has been phenomenal -knowledgable, super-nice people. Definitely recommend Pedal Montclair!

This place is incredible. I was looking for a hard to find mountain bike for my son for his birthday. Not only did they rush and track my order, but rushed to assemble when it arrived in time to surprise my son on his birthday at pickup. Andrea and Lou are fantastic. I just picked up my 2019 Felt Dispatch 7/70 mountain bike from Pedal Montclair yesterday after a tuneup. This afternoon I took a 90 minute ride, and I soon discovered I was riding a NEW bike!My bike NEVER rode this well, and I got it straight out of the box. For the past 10 months the bike rode HARD like a tank...now its a sailboat!I literally have to re-learn how to ride this bike :)) I HIGHLY recommend Pedal Montclair for ALL your Pedal needs 🚵‍♀️

So Andrea and Lou were awesome. Recently moved back to the east coast and whatever the movers did to my bike it was making funny noises as I rode it. Didnt want to get a complete service because I had just had it serviced end of season in Chicago. Its only my mode of transportation since I dont have a car. Even though they were swamped and warned me they may not be able to get to it for a week or so depending what was needed. Dropped it off for them to look at, went to a Dr appointment and came back and boom. They looked at it, realized it needed a little gear work and just charged me for the work they did. Really appreciate it guys, I know where I am coming for all things bike.

Great store with a selection of super cool high-end mountain bikes and supplies!Lou is smart and can fix any bike, not just a modern mountain bike. I took my 30+ year-old commuter bike there. It had so many problems and Lou was able to fix the bike back up. Also, Lou is a knowledge resource, the information he can give you is priceless.There is another nearby bike store that is not as friendly. My experience with the other bike store put me off, I stopped going and have been better off.

Pedal, Mtc, is exactly what a local bike shop should be. Lou and Andrea run a great shop and offer service for bike riders of all levels. Need a first bike for your kid? They know what questions to ask and will find you the right thing. Need something serviced on your top-of-the-line road, mountain or CX bike? Lou is a masterful mechanic who does fantastic work on all brands and styles of bike. I personally have purchased 4 bikes from Lou (two for the kids, a road bike for me, and a fantastic custom-built commuter for my wife), as well as two custom wheelsets (road and mountain), and he does all of the work on my road and mountain bikes. Lou himself is a top-shelf trail, Enduro and downhill rider, so his work is informed by his experience.
