Scott does a great job with high standards of quality, he goes above and beyond. Owning my own business I understand the challenges with dealing with customers. No matter what you do to go above and beyond, you cant make all customers happy. I dont mind when things take longer, as long as the final product it good. Like all good utv builders, they are all very busy. Busy is good and shows that you are doing something right. I will continue to do work with Scott at desert works. Thank you for all your hard work and attention to detail.
I had one of the most incredible experience there. I Went to Audio Systems for car sounds. They just recently moved to that location from Moreno Valley. The best quality service and very knowledgeable when it comes down to what you need. THEE BEST 👍🏽👍🏽
We went in and met with the owner back in October and placed an order. We tried to give a down payment but were told that was not how they do business. We would pay at the end when it was picked up. We were told it was going to be several weeks out which we were fine with. We never got a phone call, went in several times to check on the status but nobody was ever there, and finally in January got in touch with somebody and they told me we’re not even On the list for a delivery time. More weeks past and still no phone calls or follow up. We are now in March at the end of the riding season and still no call. We called this morning finally got a hold of somebody only to be told they’re very busy have a lot of insurance work and do a lot of work work for Berts, and then she hung up on us. Horrible way to run a business with total disregard for customers.
This shop is great! Really nice and knowledgeable professionals!
Love this place. Scott is honest and to the point. Beautiful designs, and great craftsmanship. My man rolled his car with his DW aftermarket cage on his X3. He and his car walked away without any scratches Will continue bringing my vehicles here. Thanks a bunch DW.
I purchased a complete cage, doors and lights from these guys back in 2014. During the process of building they kept me informed and answered all my questions. Everything was packed well and shipped to me with no problems. The durability of these products has been better than expected. Hard use for 5 years and the only thing that broke was a piece of hardware on my lightbar. The owner Alex went above and beyond to take care of me. I will be selling my 2014 rzr1000 soon and will be buying 2 new rigs very soon. I look forward to setting them both up with Desertworks products in the future.
Great product. Horrible customer service. Will burn my money before I buy my UTV parts here again.
I wish I had the time to write a detailed review of my experience with Scott and Desert Works so I will try to keep it as simple as I can.I ordered over 15K of custom stuff including new cage for my Maverick X3.Took several months, way more than was told. I did make some changes but nothing worth over 3 months. When I picked up car, it looked great. Next AM - Took it to Gorman on a sunny day to test new ride. Ran through 3 puddles and water was pouring in through the windshield on all 3 on top of roof where roof sits on top of windshield.I also couldn’t adjust the center mirror because Scott welded on these protruding tabs that made it impossible to adjust the mirror so I can’t see behind me. This was a 18 inch rear view mirror with no view.Intercom system sucked. Constantly needing to adjust squelch between Bluetooth, radio and intercom. Lots of static and feedback.I called Scott and he said, his roof is not designed or guaranteed to be water tight. Can you believe that? Even the cheap factory roof is water tight but he seemed to think otherwise. He said he knew about eh center mirror (never said anything to me when I picked it up) and had a solution to jimmy rig a new mirror. These would leave these protruding tab sticking out unless he had to grind them down, which means the cage would need to be re powder coated. He did say he would take back radio/intercom.I said I wanted to return his defective cage with roof, and I would keep all other items I paid for. When I brought the vehicle back, he got defensive and offensive with me. He stripped my car down, removed my cage, roof rack and left me without a cage because he cut my oem off. (he never told me my OEM was destroyed)He then charged me for the bumper he through in with the whole deal as well as the nerf bars he accidently purchased and threw in the deal.On top of all that, he added another $650 for taxes which he already collected when he did the deal with me to start with. I paid him CASHSO now I leave with a stripped down car. I gave Scott several chances to make good but he declined so now I have taken the matter to small claims court and will get this resolved through litigation.Horrible business person. Does not back up his workmanship. Bad faith dealings, Delays, delays, delays. I would stay away. Plenty of other guts out there who work on these UTVs
