I like the number of products that they stock and I am always impressed with the attitude and helpfulness of their employees

Purchased nectarines that were rotted inside day after purchase. The customer service rep was very apologetic and offered to replace them. My husband took them back to the store & they were replaced. Safeway has always had excellent customer service consistently in my 40+ years of shopping from California to Washington. Thank you!

Can find discounted items that are good products, great deli items, clean store and bathroons.

Just went in to get balloons for my mom’s birthday. Had the worst customer service experience I’ve probably ever had - I said “excuse me” to the cashier in the floral section to ask if I could get the pre-blown up ones or packaged, and she responded with a rude “yes?” THEN after I figured out the balloons on my own, it took literally 30 minutes to blow five balloons up. When she was tying the last one some shift lead came up and took the till? He couldn’t let her cash me out first? I had just spent 35 minutes with the balloons and you take her till? Great, I spent almost 50 minutes in Safeway on my mom’s birthday because I then stood in the ridiculous lines for another 10 minutes.

I absolutely adore Suzanne, a cashier there. She is always so friendly and makes good conversation so im not standing there awkwardly. She also is always very gentle with my produce, which is always appreciated.

Always best quality meats and produce. If you need anything specialty for your kitchen in Monroe, try Safeway first. So much better the W-world who Never has anything

Love the attempt they did at the gremlins cake they made for my nephews 5th birthday. After the crying stopped turned out to be a pretty good cake!

5 years ago I shopped there, never again. It’s bad enough the tweekers hanging out there but my main reason is the customer service.I had a full cart of groceries getting ready to pull up to a register but first I must pass self check, then 15 items or less then 20 items or less. Thinking I’m finally at a register that wants to have my business I start unloading. A man behind me shows up and in a snarky voice says “12 items or less, huh?” I look up and sure enough I was in yet another line catering to people spending $20 or less. I apologized for sure because I would never do that on purpose. Then apologized to the cashier, she just gave me a look like I was garbage and just a dumb B. Had I thought about it then I should of left my $200 worth of groceries on the belt and took my business elsewhere. Most stores have done away with the item limit, thank god. But I will never shop at the Monroe Safeway ever again.

I love this store for its people, it’s quality of groceries and the app! But don’t EVER order a cake from their bakery. I ordered one for my sons 2nd birthday yesterday, 3 days in advance when they only ask for 48hours. Show up to pick it up, and guess what, no cake. I even confirmed that I had everything correct, store location, pick up time/day. Then, they call me this morning - the next day, not with an I’m sorry, but with a “hey do want this cake today? Looks like it was suppose to be for yesterday”Obviously not, it was for a birthday!!

Had to pick up a prescription and they were very helpful trying to get it from pharmacy that my insurance didnt allow. They also on the deli have the BEST sandwiches

This store is my go to for most stores in Monroe .the deli is the best for fresh crispitos and chicken strips.i really like the corndogs also.

There hot food area (chinese and american food) and the deli salads are really good. There grocery prices are a little high considering the other options in town.

Easy access and lots of parking. Great selections. Very busy which reflects strong customer satisfaction.

I come here often for the chicken and salad bar. Riley, Jordan,Scott and Frank do a fabulous job of staying polite when they are so overwhelmed and understaffed

Pretty good but deli/hot wings needs a little help. Too much heat lamps on wings and barbecue wings weren’t even covered with barbecue sauce. Wings are quickly dried out and inedible, even during busy dinner hours. Nice crew though, friendly and helpful. Also — electric mart cart has a rear view mirror, which is super handy.

I like Safeway because they are super convenient, clean, they carry most everything I need grocery wise, and they always have polite staff.

The pharmacist and his pharmacy staff were horrific. Asked me very private questions about my medical history in front of other people, when I expressed concern about my privacy they were rude and condescending. I can’t believe they remain employed.Update—I wish I could give zero stars. after I posted my complaint, the pharmacist called me—not to apologize, but to explain why he was right. When I told him I would make sure his store manager heard what happened, he laughed and said she saw the whole thing. So, in other words, Safeway’s management seems to have no problem with its pharmacy’s horrific customer service or Hippa violations. I told him I would never go back to his store and then hung up. What an awful experience. Go somewhere else!

Safeway was busy but the checker was working pretty fast. I always get in and out pretty quickly. Love the cashiers. They work so hard.

Safeway....its a grocery store. Prices can be a little bit high, but what can you do. There is always a choice to go to one if the other 2 in town. We went there do to the fact that they had the outdoor umbrella for the picnic table and a lower price then any other place in town.

The self check out kept telling me to put the checked out groceries in the checkout area but there was no room. They need a bigger check out area in self checkout. Lol!

Honestly its a grocery store. And Safeway customer service is superb. This cashiere went above and beyond though. I didnt get the cashiers name but the lady working self check out today really helped me out. I was having an allergic reaction and she opened up a liquid zyrtec for me and got me some water. I didnt have my epi pen and was really hoping to avoid calling an ambulance hence why I ran in and got the zyrtec. She helped me with my kids for the 10 minutes till I felt well enough to leave again. Super odd situation, met with compassion, assistance and kindness.

Told the PIC in the nicest way possible that i didnt want the food served to me at the deli because the guy handling food had no gloves and very very long nails which is pretty odd and unsanitary considering when youre handling hot food, PIC said that they arent required to wear gloves and if i want that i need to request it. Which is confusing because at the duvall store its mandatory to have trim nails and gloves on. Didnt seem like he gave a care in the world, he also seemed very irritated. Guess i need to shop at my own store, i even felt i had to apologize because he did not take the feedback well.

Things have improved significantly over the past few months at this safeway store. It still gets a little backed up, but nothing like their competitor a few blocks away. I shop almost exclusively at this store now that the big conglomerate K has taken over our formerly local grocer (FM).

Loving Safeway and prices, I go for the hot food deli each visit. Its a great place to get more food with less money. Hot Fried chicken with the meat still on it as opposed to KFC just across the parking lot. I get more hot chicken than KFC, and its a whole bunch less dollars. Easy choice for me.I love Safeway.

Just a regular grocery store! They have my favorite ice cream that isn’t carried by Fred Meyer so that’s nice. Other than that they’re more expensive. They have a pretty good bakery section!

I shop the Snohomish Safeway on the regular. But it seems like they are struggling to fill the shelves. Not due to not having product but lack of labor. The meat cases were almost empty the other day. The soda was picked clean. No employees on the sales floor. Its getting hard to support them.

This is the cleanest store Ive ever been to. Beautiful displays, perfectly filled produce and stocked shelves. This store get top marks for professionalism and friendly helpful staff. Full service deli counter and the best potato salad anywhere.

Great store to stop at. They have good veggies and meats. Their bakery items are some of my most favorite store made pastries/desserts from anywhere.I do recommend getting a Safeway card as you really do save A LOT.

Safeway is a national grocery store chain that has tons of coupons and deals going on at all times. This location is always busy for some reason so be prepared to wait in lines, even through self checkout. Parking is good outside and the bathrooms inside are clean. The employees here are very nice, and their food counter is usually pretty stocked. This is one of the main stops for people going into the mountains so they are well stocked on many easy to cook things.

I used to go to Albertsons. Loved that store. Cheap, friendly staff, awesome clean store. Now that its closed. Ill have to settle with friendly staff and awesome clean store.Jokes aside, its a great store. Clean, friendly folks. Safeway is a little more spendy but the quality and selection is great.

I went there 6 a.m. ordered a ham and cheese breakfast croissant the lady in the deli was very friendly and fast. The breakfast croissant was made right in front of me and very delicious. Overall they are a great way to start your day

Fry Chicken is awesome, deli stays open till 8, not like FrednMyers closes there deli at 6.

This store has the best meat selection of any other grocery store in town. This store has amazing, attentive staff who will go above and beyond to honor prices, promotions or substitute with similar products. Overall an awesome place to shop, and their drive up and go service is worth trying if you are busy or want to beat the lines. This is by far one of the few grocery stores that actually care about retaining customers, if you ever have a problem, management will go above and beyond to make the situation right.

Safeway deli, how do you forget the sweet and sour sauce for my sweet and sour chicken? This is like the third time you have done this. Honestly my dad should be checking it before leaving the store but you would think that such a simple thing wouldnt be forgotten.

I can usually get in and out of this store pretty quickly. The reason why I gave only 4 stars is because of the way they are handling covid-19. Its great that they have someone cleaning/sanitizing all of the carts and baskets, but they have signs on the floor to make each aisle travel in one direction. This is a good idea in my opinion, but they do not enforce it.I do know it would be difficult for them to enforce this and would probably cost a lot in labor, but theres got to be some way to do it. None of the customers follow the direction they are supposed to go or they just dont notice the signs altogether.If this problem were fixed so that they can ensure better social distancing Id be giving 5 stars.
