Highly recommend! I needed a specific machine and they put it together for me and had it ready the next day. Call them if you want good, old fashioned service you dont see anymore.

Purchased a “new” motherboard from this guy and when I got it home it was missing the backplate and cpu cover and had 3 bent pins making the board useless. I asked him 3 times if it was new he said yes I took him at his word (mistake somebody’s word means nothing these days) you can clearly see it’s been used before. After looking at the board online it’s selling on Newegg new for $87.99 and he charged $176 for the exact same board and it’s used and damaged. Be careful with this business. I suggest shopping at another place.Side note: I watched him messing with the board in the back for 10+ min I’m guessing he was trying to fix the pins (failure) and they have a no returns policy only for store credit.

Would not recommend. About a year ago (+/-) when Microsoft quit supporting Windows 7 I took my computer to PC Guru to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. The computer was in great condition, no problems, just needed the upgrade. I wanted to make sure it was done right so decided I pay a professional to do it rather than risk doing it myself. My computer has been a wreck ever since. I can be using the computer and the screen turns completely blue with an error message that the computer has experienced a problem and is shutting down. Sometimes I can reboot and it works fine for a while; other times I just have to manually turn off (not shut down but turn off the power) and come back later and try again. I took the computer back to PC Guru twice but they have not been able to fix it. After 2 trips back I finally just gave up and started using another computer since this one is no longer reliable. Plus the owner (I think his name is Don) is not a very pleasant person and the other employees there act like they are afraid of him. I wont be going back there .Edit 11/30/2020 Based on owners response to original review.I wont be bringing the computer back in because I have no confidence you can fix it and Im not gonna waste any more time. You already had it 3 times : 12/2/2019, 12/18/2019 and 1/15/2020 at a total cost to me of $464.03 (plus another charge of $71.82 that you waived out of embarrassment I guess). I have no idea where you got the idea that I loved what you did to my computer. Quite the contrary, I think you ruined it. The computer was custom built for me and was working fine when I first brought it in on 12/2/2019 for the Windows 7 to Windows 10 upgrade. Your employee actually commented on what a great and fast computer it was. You recommended adding an additional Hard Drive and 2 additional fans. Plus you said you needed to reseat the CPU with thermal paste. Thats when the trouble started and it has been a wreck ever since. Fortunately I have other computers and at some point Ill find someone whos able to repair the one you messed up.

I needed a specific computer setup for my work. This shop was recommended. They built me a computer system specifically for my needs at a great price. Then I went back and bought a computer system for my daughter and got a fantastic setup. Don the owner is unbelievable in his knowledge of understanding your needs. I highly recommend this shop.

I am speaking on my Paw Paws behalf, and he was very impressed with this place. They fixed his computer very fast; He was in and out in about 15 minutes flat. He has no bad words for this business, and they were absolutely outstanding.

Every time I take my computer to Computer Guru, its an emergency ... computer life or death. And, every time, Computer Guru has fixed the problem(s) in a timely and considerate manner and at a reasonable cost. If and when, Ill go back to Computer Guru ... and I recommend it to anyone and everyone..

The staff was friendly and really were experts. My daughter is in college and spilled an entire bottle of face wash on her Mac Book. PC Guru was recommended by two other computer repair shops and the fixed it at a very reasonable cost. Nice job!

A computer geek, I use that term with the utmost respect referred me to PC Guru in Monroe. He is such a great friend, and now he referred me to PC Guru!! With all of the negativity in the world, I have never dealt with such awesome, intelligent, reasonable, and so polite people...wont say never, but been a while...few and far between....The staff are awesome, their work is impeccable, their prices are a good shock to the soul, and with all of the weird things that have happened to my computers, they are rock stars!!! They will always have my business!! They are just as careful with my money as I am. No excessive costs for work that does not need to be done....and help me find ways to make my computers last longer, run faster....and quick!! I rely on my laptop for everything, and anything that concerns my computers, I rely on them!!! Thank you all, and especially Mark for my last trip!!!

PC Guru is Amazing!! Got in touch with Don he asked that I call Mark because he was with another client. (Need to say that Don responded very quickly especially for the time of day!) Worst experience ever. Do not use PC Guru. Matt took in my computer to assess what was wrong and I paid with the word from him that the money I paid to have it assessed would be taken off of the charges to have it fixed. He called me back stating that his manager would not allow him to have the money I paid taken off of repairs. Then when I picked up my computer he lied again stating he never told me the money would come off of repairs which he told both me and my husband. He also stated that they could not recover data from my computer and recommend another place in Charlotte since they werent capable of doing recovering data. How is this place called PC Guru when they cant even recover data? Do not use this place they lie and cant even complete all computer work. I will never waste my time or money at this place and do not recommend it to anyone since they have liars working there. I even contacted the manager to no avail and no reply on his lying worker named Matt. I will take my business elsewhere and recommend everyone else I know so the same.Wow! Only took someone 9 months to reply to my negative review. Very punctual response. And only lies as a response that “witnessed by me”??? Who is me??? Only Matt was working at the front when I dropped off my computer. Just further proves my point. Very shady business here.

Hats off and TWO BIG THUMBS UP to Mark at PC Guru. My desktop quit working after a power surge at my home. So I took it to Mark and he had it fixed in about an hour. Turns out, the power supply was the only thing that was damaged. He could have very easily said that my hard drive was corrupted and/or the motherboard was fried. But he showed his honesty by diagnosing the problem in front of me. And then fixed EXACTLY what was wrong. BIG SCORE for honesty!!! I work for Badcock Furniture in Monroe, and I will be sending him business from customers with out-of-warranty issues.

You might get a good deal on a reconditioned Laptop or pad.

Just took my laptop there and got it back the same dam way i took it in..........dont take your laptop here my personal videos are still slow my brightness does not work no GOOD SERVICE I HOPE THEY CONTACT ME so we can fix the problem or refund...it seems they took the easy way and just ran a virus disc..something i could of done at home......i told them my problems and i was hoping to see them fixed but the laptop is the same way
