I love the fact that they buy back books. You dont only have to buy anything there. They have good customer service, and always help you find whatever youre looking for.

Gonna miss this BAM. There is a great selection on every topic from learning to magazines, childrens books to adult books, spiritual to medical...fiction and non. I love the selection of toys and novelties too. You can find Asian snacks and collectibles. If you cant find a book, they will order it. I think the only thing I will not miss is the bathrooms.

Joe muggs coffee is awsome! But we had to go ask for a key to the restroom for my kids and the young man that was behind the help counter was very rude and didnt make eye contact with me once, and the only words he said was here! And handed me the key

I just moved back from the western part of the country and one of the first places I wanted to visit was my old BAM in Monroe. I really miss the huge selection and great deals you cand find here compared to a B&N. I immediately went to the various clearance tables and walked out with about a nine hardbacks for $80.My gripes are that they had a sale table right in front of the best-sellers section, so I had to bob-and-weave while trying to read inside covers until I finally gave up and moved on. Also, youre not going to find the caliber of help youll find in a B&N...just someone that will be happy to sell you a membership for commission...not their fault, just a business decision.Other than that, BAM is the only store I can think of that I could spend all day browsing and buying. While attending ULM in the late 90s, I met some fellow students for a study group and I got thrown out for bringing in my own coffee and refusing to pour it out...my priorities were very different back then 😂

I love it but the only problem is you have to ask for a key to use the restroom and we all know what the smell of books does to a person

BAM has been one of my favorite places for literal decades. Whether youre looking for DND lore, romance for those hot summer nights, or something to get the kids hooked on literature, BAM should be at the top of your list. As the years have gone by, theyve really expanded their fandom and pop culture selections. Need I say Funko! Novelty mugs! LILONSTITCH BACKPACK! Ahem. Srsly. Just go check em out. Never disappointed.

My family is a bunch of nerds. We love the anime and Harry Potter selection of merchandise. Priced reasonably also.

We like to read, so Books-A-Million has just what we need.. plus more. My youngest child found parts of her collections in several of the toy items. One of my teens found the perfect notebook for a hobby shes working on. So, theres more than just books to be read. Theres even snacks.

As far as bookstores go, the vibe is great. Its quiet and smells like books. All bibliophiles will love it. Good selection and friendly staff. You can sit on a bench in the back and peruse your selection if you like.

This is a relatively small BAM.The book stores arent what they used to be. The manga section is slowly catching up to the times. There wasnt as much merch in the new age section as alot of other locations... but Queen is who brought this three star Review up to a four star review because I averaged her 5star customer service together with the review of the overall bookstore.

Can get pricey, but its one of my favorite stores to go to for books, especially horror novels. Their coffee is also amazing 😋

I don’t know how long book stores will last but until they die I will continue to shop BAM in Monroe. It’s like a treasure hunt to find the deals but they are there. I often find great books for $2-$5 that on Amazon are $8-$25 but it takes some digging through the stacks. It’s worth digging and the selection in the bargain bins is rotated out pretty frequently. I hope BAM finds a way to survive.

Love Book a Million. I could stay in the store a day. The coffee shop inside is good as we. Helpful staff. The books are sectioned well, and the prices arent bad.

I liked to come here to find the books I wanted and skim through them before buying them for a fraction of the price on amazon. Seriously. If you want to extremely overspend on your stuff, go here.

I LOVE BOOKS-A-MILLION!! It was my first time going with a co worker and I really enjoyed the books, atmosphere and coffee. I got some really great books to start my book club and to read during my off time. The staff was great and really helpful with us finding everything we needed from adult books, childrens books and nice bags to hold our books in. What a great place to shop and just relax with a good book and a cup of coffee.

One of the best places to purchase gifts. Also, they have a lot a cool odds and ends for everyone. Not to mention the great coffee.

To the lady that argued with me right up to closing time, I WILL call corporate in the morning! The doors were locked early and I refuse to be argued with because you want to listen to your music and mop the floor in peace! And by the way.. you MISSED a spot !All I wanted was a book and she specifically said to me “All the registers are closed and take too long to turn back on” HORRIBLE service.

I enjoy this bookstore. Its quite varied, selling shirts, toys, games, masks, Christian knickknacks, used CDs, used videos, in addition to the usual books and magazines.The staff is friendly, ambience nice though getting a little dated.I definitely recommend !

This store has a large selection of books and other items such as calendars and stationary, too. The cashier who helped me was friendly. The atmosphere is pleasant and the place is worth going back to. I appreciate that there is a large bookstore in this area.

Home away from home for me, being a book nerd as I call myself. Store has a varied selection. Sells books, movies, games, shirts, funkos, posters, you can pretty much name it. And as always, Joe Muggs is wonderful. Feeds my coffee habit well. While I love the store, I do wish they would do a remodel of it. Store set up and look has not changed in a while and I think would benefit from something new being designed for it

Its been about three years since I came in here but I had a few hours to kill so what the heck. This place has just gotten dumpier over the years. Everything is worn and shabby. The book selection is ok. Management still sucks large. Shes crazier than the red queen, really.They have a drink special on now and they dont have the ingredients to make it. The cafe lady was nice and that was pleasant. But it really wasnt worth the time.

I really like the way it is setup. Small community coffee shop. Havent had anything from there yet but I wanna go back. I need to actually go back. I was rushed to get in and out. But they have a wide selection of journal books. The only problem is, that they didnt have the prices!!

I had an idea of what I needed as a gift. I went to the information desk and shared some thoughts and was given plenty of ideas. The staff was very helpful!

Counter service helpful. It was disappointing that in the store the book i got cost twice as much as same book on booksamillion online! So I returned the store-bought book and bought two online for less than the one store-bought book. Crazy. I dont know how that place keeps a brick n mortar store of that size open. I feel that the in-store and online price should be the same! AND I couldve bought them cheaper and no shipping through Amazon.

I love their selection of books and cute little knick knacks. I also love that they have vinyl records for my record player since the mom and pop record store here in Monroe closed down :(.
