I was in the Deli, the food is fresh...but the sandwich makers are SSSSssslllowwww! Slow, other than that the store is clean, food good, but like I said above...

I like this grocery Store because is very close to us, and they are open until 10:00... Only issue I have is the registers, I see only two of them open, with long lines and 3 or 4 employees just walking around the store. I would appreciated it, if at least one of those employees could open the 10 items or less register, that would totally help. Thank you.

Its a simple grocery store with a little bit of everything. Prices are on the cheap side mostly. Only thing is they never have more than two checkers at a time so be prepared for at least 5 people ahead of you at any given time.

I like shopping here the meats a little high so hopefully itll go back down. But overall the people are nice and its clean and its good food

Good great easy shopping

I bought a rotisserie chicken trying to do a quick dinner. Yeah, big mistake. Chickens not even cooked through. I put in the microwave to see if 5 minutes would fix it, but its so undercooked its gonna need to go in a oven for a longer amount of time. So much for a quick dinner. I have never gotten a rotisserie chicken so undercooked from Save Mart, Smart and Final or even Safeway..... Beware, the undercooked chicken.

A great store on Paradise Road, Modesto.Ca. The atmosphere is very pleasant, feels like home. Store has good pricing, staff always personable and patient with the customers,and are bilingual.Clean,well organized and lots of stock on shelves. Bakery on board to make cakes and other fresh items. Masks upon entering store. Bank Atms available. Cash, or Bank Cards, Wic, and CalFresh.

Workers are very nice....they wear mask and they sanitize the carts so thats nice......

Im not going to say that its most exciting store to shop at but the customer service is Kool. Giving it a 4 star for being in the hood.

Lines always long, need more cashier. Seem like some of them dont like their job or something. I use to work as a cashier so I know a thing or two. Greeting customers with a smile and saying thank you can go a long way. I only go here because its the closest store when I dont feel like driving far.

During this pandemic, they have kept the shelves stocked in toilet paper and food. They have a great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, a bakery and they sanitize carts for customers. The cashiers are kind too.

Well max value is okay they have pretty much but I was looking for stepping out the door was a little weird because there were ambulance and firetruck third person was throwing a grocery cart at the ambulance truck so go figure

Look, this place in Modesto is pretty bad. We have parking spots reserved for police officers that take precedence over the handicap parking spot. Thats how bad it is. I guess it goes without saying that the customer service is terrible. Very rude employees. I feel that they treat the customers as if theyre thieves and drug addicts

I like the store and the product is good but the customer service needs a little work.

Only 2 check stands open, and the line of people was down the isles. This is not the first time i have experienced this and it is ridiculous. I only keep going back, cause its closest to my house.

I have to use this store because I don’t have transportation. I have bought meat that looked fine but was tainted in some way because my daughter and I got horribly ill throwing up and severe diarrhea. I have bought boxed pasta and bring it home and realize it’s expired so you have to look at dates on EVERYTHING. I think a lot of people that shop here just set things down anywhere and then they’re found and put back even if it’s hamburger/cream/milk/cheese. I have also bought ice cream from here and it looked like the ice cream had melted and refroze! Ugh it was disgusting. I have wasted a lot of money at this store because if you don’t keep your receipt and realize that you have spoiled food within 24 hours of purchase,they won’t exchange it for a good one. Their are several employees that have been there for a long time and they have good customer service skills. Never any baskets either and if you do get one and it’s not locked don’t park far from the entrance because the cart will lock before you get to your car. Our running total of wasted money on food at this store is $73.12 to date. I’m disabled with a disabled child and I don’t have this money to keep gifting the store!

The cashier was very friendly and helpful in helping me bag my own groceries. Need baggers, I live in the area but prefer to go where they will bag my groceries. I only go here if its late.

Prices are high. The store is not always clean. However, i shop there cause its only 3 min away in traffic. Employees like Leilani are fantastic, love her. Always courteous, friendly and, willing to help. Leilani, Omar, and Earnest make it worthwhile to shop there. Zeke is helpful as well.

Customer service is good. Employees are friendly and helpful. But they were out of two of the things that I was looking for. 😞

A couple of good sales. The store is clean. They carry some choices good for a family of two or three, but average for more.

Even though they dont have 25 different types of everything, they always seem to have what I need. Usually always well stocked and the checkout counter moves steadily. I usually leave stores if I feel like Im at the DMV and I was in and out, kids in tow, under 10 minutes at 5:30 pm.

Its within walking distance.

Miket I believe his name is (very tall white skinny guy with an Amish beard) is not professional. He didnt even appreciate that we bagged everything for him and he kept leaving the check stand. Its funny how he looks and acts like a huge racist and at the same time tries to speak Spanish with some of the customers.

There I never shopping carts when I go. Very rude employees, they never greet you or smile. Very ghetto wouldn’t recommend. They have hardly anything. They have no red hit wing buffalo sauce, no cheese in a can but they have the chicken in a biscuit cracker but no can cheese for it. Very unorganized this store should shut down.

They have relly good quality products sometimes they also have good sales.

3.5.First, there was no price on the cherries. There was a price on the strawberries, $1.77 lb, and a price on the grapes, $1.99lb, but not the cherries. So I asked an employee, John. He didnt know, so he asked. Apparently the produce guy was on break. So John then tells me they are either $1.79 to 1.99lb. Well at the reg they rang as $2.99lb. The clerk, Keith fixed it right nice.

I stopped here a few times the employees are friendly and helpful but the store looks like it needs a good cleaning some expired stuff here and there make sure to check the date on everything other than that it was a quick shopping trip prices seem pretty fair too

Very dirty and rundown store. The carts are in desperate need of replacing. Shelves are decaying in some parts of the store. The floors are almost always dirty. The cashier staff seem to be poorly trained. And the lines at the registers are literally always busy. I rarely visit the store but when i do its exactly the same every time. Be prepared to wait in line for at least 15 to 20 min

This store is great they always have great prices and markdowns nice workers never giv u a hassel on returns or exchanges only problem i hav with this store is around a certain time of the day there will b the longest lines omg it gets crazy but other that that its cool....I have heard this place has rats i didnt believe them but my sister has seen a huge rat crawl over the cheese area she said was as big as her forearm my bf said he seen couple and outside around back coming from storage room but honestly i never seen myself and ive never seen any damages caused by rats 2 any of my items so i guess ill believe it when i see it lol so im always checking everything very carefully 😂 but this was back in 2010-2015 its been a long time since then

The night manager (african-american) guy is a mentally sick and need treatment: i know him from his neighborhood and his cousins selling drugs and how the store manager or owner trust this person to give him a job . ? there are many many young people looking for job but a drug dealer comes and become a manager. and he is dangerous for people specially for kids

I am giving it two stars because the cashiers be on a lazy tip. They will scan your groceries and just let them pile up and they wont help you put them in bags even if they have nothing to do. I try to avoid this store because of that...i am scrambling in my purse to pay them as i try to bag all my stuff...i rather go else where...if max value wants to do that they should at least go the winco route and have larger areas so you could bag your own stuff. The store is lacking good lunch meats...they only carry the cheap stuff..they have over priced cereal...go to winco for that...the produce is aight...i rather go to costless for that i get more for my 💰 and at costless they bag my stuff and they dont try to push the paper bags on you...maxx value hasThese paper bags that are wack! They ripped on me and all i had was cilantro and some napkins...super cheap!

Finding products marked down every week I like shopping and seeing that
