Yeah I love Smart and final the store is clean and always fully stocked. Prices are a little higher. Then some other stores, but you get what you pay for. If you like buying in bulk Smart and final is the store for you. The atmosphere is so inviting. I believe you will enjoy shopping at Smart and Final. Its a calm experience too. 👍🥑🍉

This is my third time here that they don’t have shopping carts. As I did last couple times I left. Today I left again 8/27/21 @ 4:20 pm. Will not come back here. There are hundreds of other places to shop.

Being told to leave thousands of dollars of media equipment unattended in the front of the store is a big turn off especially in a high crime area, especially when just coming in to get caffeine.

Love this place! Top quality produce for a great price. You can purchase items in bulk and save big or just get a single item. Cant do that at Costco. Staff are very friendly and eager to help. Store is clean and tidy. If an item is not on the shelf, just ask an employee to check and see if they have more in the back. They are happy to help in anyway. Just paid $4.99 a pound for a prime rib roast. Costcos current price is $12.99 a pound! Saving lots of money shopping at Smart & Final!

Smart and final always has all my business supplies..

They are doing a very good job of social distancing shoppers and keeping things clean and safe. They are having a little trouble keeping the shelves stocked and I couldnt find all of the items I needed, but overall a good experience. Great alternative to Costco!

The atmosphere inside the store on Fathers Day was so enjoyable. The air-conditioner was working beautifully. There were few shoppers, just enough to maintain social distancing rules. The store was so clean it sparkled. The employees were attentive and cheerful.

I did my shopping at Smart and final but I took advantage of door dash to go do it for me. Although they were out of some of the items my groceries were delivered within 45 minutes. And I never even left the house

Check the weekly ads for some good deals. They carry a lot restaurant supplies so you can always find items for large cooking functions. Produce is always good and not old. They have what your going to need for the most part if your having a large event.

Very well stock if something is upon a top shelf the employees wont hesitate to get the product for you . Businesses like this one show customers great relationships between employees and customers.

Its a great place to get grocery in large amounts or bulk. The only bad thing about it is that I live in Groveland and I have to travel over an hour and a half to get to the store.

I jus left the store. One of the WORST experiences of my life..... First of all, there were a couple customers in there that were clearly on drugs and causing a ruckus. Then our cashier was extremely rude to my mother when she was trying to ask her a question about a deal they were hearing (which was the reason we were there) and failed to mention what we got was not part of the deal. When my mother was politely trying to ask...... Then I went in after the purchase and spoke to a manager..... Im not entirely sure how this lady made it to manager, lets just say, I sent where the other cashier gets her rudeness from.... If I could give this store zero stars, I would... But it does not give me the option. If I knew they were going to acct like this, I would have been a rude customer making a scene. But I left with my kindness intact.... So beware when you go!!!!!

This is by far the best grocery store in Modesto! I get what I pay for. The portion sizes per item are just right. I’m not paying more for less as I would in other stores. This store is clean and has a friendly staff. I particularly buy the First Street Brand which is their store brand. I highly recommend you buy that brand. Nothing but quality. I don’t want to oversell this store. However, I highly recommend you check it out.

They messed up my online order when I went back to the store to get the proper item they gave me the wrong size of and the bag of shrimp that they completely missed customer service was rude and pointed the finger at doordash who I didnt even go through I went through smart and final and then smart and final again pointed the finger at another third party service and nobody wants to resolve anything so I ended up buying the stuff again Ill never shop here ever

Smart and Final is a great place to shop. They dont have everything you may want, but they do have everything in bulk. Full produce area with quality produce including organic items. You can get meat, but the prices are usually better at Costless or Savemart. Decent bulk frozen section and large amounts of alcohol.

Staff here is much friendlier than the other store on Standiford, but prices here are still expensive. Much, much better deals at Walmart, Costless, Winco, Cash & Carry, Food Maxx & Grocery Outlet.

First time shopping here. Probably will be my last. The cashier Matthew seemed like a jerk. Wiped his nose then passed me my food.... bad management if you ask me. I miss the old Smart and final

I love shopping at Smart & final because they have most of my favorite foods.

Havent had any issues with the store yet, Ive been there 3 times and all the cashiers and staff I dealt with were courteous. The prices are pretty good and they have fresh produce which is a major plus for me. The only thing they dont have is a bakery.Its a great alternative for me, I can get fresh fruit and vegetables instead of eating some of the other things that I need to cut back on. They have security but it is downtown Modesto, lock your car doors, keep your head on a swivel and youll be fine.

Only 2 cashiers had a hard time getting hp finding pot. Took over 10 minutes cuz giy was too busy talking to another associate.

This is my go-to store, I shop here literally every day for all my familys meals. The only thing missing in this store is a pharmacy, they have a huge produce department, a huge meat department, and a huge freezer section. The store looks great, they have great prices and their employees are the nicest you could ever meet. 5 stars!

Dont be surprised on how many time you call this location and get hung up on or placed on hold... requesting for an item to be checked in stock (they will place you on hold) pick up the phone to say no we dont have it without even checking. Drive to this store...item on the shelf. Smh! I told a manager about this last year even showed her my phone call log in person. Contacting the Corporation

I love the down town still or better than the one across town due to the large selection of produce and bulk bins. They always have the items I need and I got frustrated going to other stores which now have automated self check out only. I never have to wait in line long and the staff are always polite and kind.

They have a decent selection, but still didnt have half the bulk items that I needed. Guess I still need a Costco membership. I would still shop regardless.

Care More Insurance has the Nifty After Fifty which is a place for safe exercising and physical therapy. They have very safe no-fall equipment to work on. They have staff to help with every question or need of help.

Need more attn to customers waiting in line. Today the line had 33 ppl in it and 1 checker working for abt 15 minutes.Other than that, place is clean, shelves seem stocked, and the cold rotisserie chicken was only 4.99 for a 3lb hen. Very tasty dinner!

Shopping is convenient close by to where I live. I am able to find everything I need. However their prices have gone up such as certain things coffee, cereal, Belvita breakfast biscuits.

We have found many items with excellent prices. The beer selection is OK and at least they carry Deschutes porter, my husbands favorite. It is awkward to bike to this location. They do have a bike rack now that I hadnt noticed the first couple times we biked there. Its on the right as you enter.

Dont by their hamburger: it is rotten & smells fowl. It will totally ruin any dish you put it in. We made it with chili & as soon as we tasted it, we knew the meat was spoiled. It tasted rank. I am very upset. Now, i have to throw the whole dish out, goodbye $50, plus my time & energy... just a big waste. It pisses me off!!!

The new Smart & Final as wonderful its easy to find everything that you need its me the people there are helpful I really enjoyed it didnt need much just needed to pick up a couple of packages of hotdogs for the grill tonight. But it will be going back
