This place is a gem in Modesto. Gotta love coming in and painting pottery pieces and being able to get away from it all and relax. The kids love it also, even more so as they have birthday parties there as well. They even hold special events stone ware or spin color events.They even have take home available also if you dont want to paint there and would like to paint at a slower place on your own time and get all the right details. You pay by the piece and pay a small studio fee for using the plentiful amount of brushes, detail bottles, and plenty of different colors of paints.Overall I would highly recommend this to all those willing to have an awesome time and support a small local business. Customer service is awesome they are always so friendly and even stayed up late to accommodate my daughters who were putting those crucial finishing details on their pieces

Great place we attend the homeschool days my kids love painting and getting to be creative they have the best selections of colors and pieces to paint. Staff is always helpful and give lots of techniques of how to be creative.

Pottery is so much better with the new owners. Tracy and Janine are the BEST. They are so friendly and kind and very knowledgable about their business. Great selection of clay sculptures to choose from upon your arrival. There is not an age group left out. Almost something for everyone I could say to pick from. From the moment my son and I arrived, he was ecstatic. He went from item to item being very indecisive. But the staff on site were very nice to him and welcoming. They let him paint and make a mess as he went. Listen folks, this does not go deep in your pockets at all. You get to share something with someone. Thats what you really are paying for. I will always remember doing this with him and the day we gifted it and this picture or him to his mum.

When there was NOTHNG FOR US PARENTS TO DO TO KEEP OUR KIDS BUSY THIZ WAS A LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNEL SO TO SPEAK. Me and my granddaughter went she is 6 years old and she has cerebral palsy and we were the only ones in this store but the lady that helped us was so very helpful and I had such a great time for we knew it 3 hours have passed and we just did nothing but laugh and giggle and have a good time with each other teach your children does this really fine he can make memorable gifts to all so they put our items in the Kim and we were told the week and a half to pick up but in actuality theyre done in 3 days so take a chance its a lot of fun

Great family activity. Helpful staff, clean space, great location. The pottery changes every so often so if you havent been there recently, it is worth another visit. My two daughters and I had an enjoyable time.

Love this place. First time I went knew nothing about pottery painting. But these ladies are so helpful in showing you how to create designs, silk prints, they made me look like I have more talent then I really do.

Ive been painting at Pottery Magic for almost 8 years now. (Yes, even before they changed their name to Pottery Magic.) This is my happy place.I have a standing reservation for me and my friends for every Monday night. I invite ALL of my friends to come paint with me. Because its a fabulous way to unwind from the stresses of Monday.Lots of my friends say theyre not creative. It doesnt matter. There are so many wonderful techniques and colors and things to paint that EVERYONE can be an artist.I watched a Mom help her 1-year-old son paint a beautiful mug. YES! The finished mug was beautiful because she chose food colors for him and didnt let him over-paint. The best part was that an employee helped her to understand how to guide him enough that the finished piece was completely his creation yet attractive.I also saw an 80-year-old grandmother have her birthday party in the studio where the whole family got together and created. What a wonderful experience! And everyone got a keepsake of the event.The studio is a fun place to be. The owner and her employees have always been fabulous at helping me learn new things all the time. And sometimes... When I do a piece thats really cool... They let me teach it to their other customers. How cool is that?The point is... There isnt a better place in town to let your hair down and get creative. With the nicest people youll find anywhere.

I took my 5 year old daughter and we had a great time. We now have some refrigerator magnets and a princess bank. So when we went back I took my older granddaughter and she loved it too! Definitely going to go again soon. And the staff are friendly and accommodating.

I took 4 girls ages 4 to 13 and they all had a great time! The staff was very helpful when asked but didnt hover which I really appreciate. Supplies were plentiful. Overall great time spent with the kids.

Amazing experience, I loved making a bowl I can eat out of and be a conversation piece too.If you go during a weeknight~weekday their staff has more time to help you with creative ideas.This would make a great date night. They allow you to bring outside food and drinks.

Amazing, amazing, amazing staff!! Have worked with them for a couple years now doing our Cub Scout events with over 75 Scouts and family members, and each time they have been so patient and kind and very helpful! They make sure everything is stocked well, set up and ready for us to invade. Can not tell you enough, just how much I would recommend them to ANY individuals or groups! Pack 14 will be continuing this tradition for a long time to come!!

Looks like new owner took over and it shows. Great customer service, wide selection of choices, more space for customers to use for painting, and nice activity for birthday parties.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and even the other painters added to the wonderful attitude of the place. The staff is extremely helpful and love to teach techniques. However their brushes are a bit clumsy and old, so if you are a serious artist, bring your own. Also their selection is a little thin at times, Ive been told they will do special order, but havent tried it yet.

A great birthday party venue!! We had my daughters birthday party here. They did a great job hosting the party and helping the girls get everything they needed. They even provided us with little coupon thank you cards.

Kids have fun. Groupon makes it affordable. Staff more people on Saturday since its a busy day and it can be overwhelming for them on Saturday if one person is tending to all people. Staff members are very nice

People are great!! Had a party there for a family member she had a blast with her friends. We also did a class, learned how to do a beach plate with sand, it was a fun time.

People are super friendly and helpful. Hours are pretty giid. The price is right on point. They always have specials going so be on the lookout and save cash. Super good place for kids, groups, dates, friends and more. My family loves going to these pottery places but this one is a lot better than most we have been two. My kids left smiling the last time. Winner winner chicken dinner! ;)

My kids had an awesome time. The staff was even helpful with my toddler when I was helping my older son. Very friendly place and Soo much fun. We have been back twice now And look forward to going in the near future.

I came one time to pick up my 4 year oldscup she painted, and the environment was great, and the woman who helped us was very friendly. The products I received were perfect and my 4 year old has hers displayed up high on her shelf. Plus its pretty easy to find even when youre not from modesto.

This place used to be a Color Me Mine but has now since changed names. The place is pretty much the same though. They have the same ceramics the same paint etc. Make sure before you go there to either make a reservation or make sure theyre not too busy. We didnt take this into consideration we we went but luckily enough we only had a half hour wait to start on our project

I love Pottery Magic! Come with time to spare and snacks (though they do have water and some snacks available)! I always spend 3-4 hours here, even though I only planned on maybe two, haha! This place is good for the soul ❤️. I love the owner, Cynthia. She is so creative and knowledgeable, and will have just the new trick for you to try on your piece. Come and fall in love with fingerpainting again!

I had a great time painting a one-of-a-kind bowl. The process was easy and fun and very affordable. It was a great outing for me.

Took 2 grandkids there ages 5 and 3. They thoroughly enjoyed painting their transformer and hello kitty. Staff is absolutely wonderful. Everyone should try at least once.

I have used these people off and on for almost 10 years now and I would not use anybody else. They have always been so helpful and so kind and ready to help in any way we wouldnt use anyone else.

I got the groupon for me and my cousin, ended up only paying a 12 dollar difference. Lots of fun options for kids and adults, only wish there was a bigger coffee mug variety. Staff was very friendly and helpful, answered all my questions.

Unorganized. No help with steps in preparing ceramic piece. We had no idea what to do with the sponge on the table until another group joined our table and were instructed by another gal to clean their ceramic piece with the sponge so there would be no dust or shavings to paint on. There was a party going but our understanding when my granddaughter and I scheduled for 130 pm that the parties were in the morning. It was crowded with kids darting around. A mess. I wont make the drive down from manteca to this place anymore.

Took my daughter here and shes been here before but I hadnt but they were very helpful and its a great activity for anyone with kids.
