This whole in the wall is worth the trip. They have all kinds if comic books. They had a few rare items that any collector might want to have.

LOVED this store. Could spend hours in there!

Ordered a King Spawn #1 1:250 variant off there website on July 23rd for $350. Due to the limited run and the hype around this book it jumped in price on the secondary market weeks later. This morning I woke up to an email saying that my order was canceled without explanation. They canceled the sale bc they know they could get more for it. This is extremely bad business considering I pre ordered the book. The fact they did it 3 days before it’s release is unacceptable. If they did this weeks ago at least I could have pre ordered it from midtown comics even if it was for more money. I will never order from them again and I recommend nobody order any variant they are thinking about buying.**Response to owner on comment below**After looking into this further I was able to find the said email with the screenshot of the diamond rep and the 200 dollar store credit. It went into my spam folder and came from an email address called banzaicards instead of Modestocomics so not sure what that’s about, as I would have never even seen that email if I didn’t write this review and he still could have responded to the email I sent that would have prevented me from even writing this review. I’m willing to give this store owner the benefit of the doubt after this mistake and his attempt to try make the situation right. Still overall a very disappointing and stressful transaction

Nice store, good selection. Even some vintage toys for sale. Staff is always nice to my kids when we go in.

It was my 1st time going there, the sales person was very knowledgeable of my questions, about release dates, back issues and very polite.

Book stores since Christ was a corporal. PA lady there was very helpful. Appreciated her help. I walked out of there with my gift card and a smile.

Great comic shop with everything you could want to satisfy your nerdy needs. Had a good conversation with the owner and picked myself up a TPB, as well as a figure. Definitely will come back here as their selection of trades, single issues, and collectibles is pretty staggering.

I love this spot. They have everything a collector is looking for. They have a Huge selection of silver age comics. The biggest in the area. So if your looking for something old school.... they might have it. Its a HOT spot for collectors. So you never know what they will have. They have a very nice selection of modern comics, and Alternate covers. Comic protectors, plastic sleeves and boards. Plus they got FUNKO POPS. I love this store.Its a must stop for any collector.

The owners are so great! They let our Dungeons and Dragons group play here and are very accomodating! They are also great people to chat with and will eagerly help find an order for you if you want or need an item.

Great place for playing games or buying board or card games. They also have Smash Brothers tournaments on Saturdays. Pretty cool.

It was ok from my selling point of view. The owner wasnt interested because he already had some comics like mine and he didnt have the room for more. But they do have some pretty cool stuff. I need to change the rating to make it higher. It is a great store!!

Good deals

The people that run the store are super friendly and helpful. They create a great family friendly atmosphere. Joe is a big kid himself, he likes to chase my 4 and 6 year old around his store as they Google their little heads off. This is usually the opposite of how I want my children to behave in a public setting. But Joe is a super nice guy and they will order you anything you want if they dont happen to have it in stock. And if you get a pull list every week they give you a 10% discount with free bag and board for each comic. Im looking forward to seeing them at their new location in July on McHenry Avenue. Their store name will become Modesto Comics. The grand opening will be on July 3rd and they will be located near p wexfords.
