This is a great store if your interested trading cards. They have a computer that you could easily type in what your looking for. It’s a spacious room that’s loaded with all your favorite memorabilia.

I brought in a higher valued card to trade-in; we came to an agreement on price and exchanged assets but as I was walking out the attendant asked for his money back because my card looks a funky. For reference, the card was pack fresh. I respect declining sales, but it put a bad taste in my mouth asking to reverse a trade as Im leaving the store.

YMMV. Proprietor decides whether or not he likes you based on some arbitrary metric that only he knows and that pretty much decides whether or not you have a good experience here. If you’re one of the people he gets to know by name it’s probably a really awesome spot. But don’t take my word for it. For the low low price of a trip to Standiford and McHenry, you too can learn whether or not bald Fred Durst likes you enough to reciprocate basic manners or if he’s going to be passive aggressive to you until you leave!

Wonderful card shop. I’ve been bringing my children here for years and have had nothing but exceptional service from the owner. I enjoy the late night festivities here from time to time as well. I’d give 10 stars if I could

I like the store and the products. The staff answered my questions and gave me quick recommendations. The reason for the 4 stars is because they just didnt seem eager to sell. Little motivation to give personal experiences or product descriptions on the items they sell.

Wow! This is the place to play! Everyone here, from the employees to the patrons and players, are so nice and welcoming. A high energy crowd thats ready to play any game. We had so much fun playing Oddassity here. Great place to meet people and play (or shop).

Terrible place. Weird owners. Awful community too.I arrived at the store and bought some product, when I brought my binders into the store to organize them with the new pulls, the owner told me to put my stuff in my car. Never been to a shop that doesn’t let people bring their cards into the store.Not even the next day, in a California group Facebook page, one of the owners is accusing me of vending on his property, saying they had video of me selling outside? It was complete bs because there is no video of anything like that because it DIDN’T HAPPEN. Owners are delusional.If you have a lot of cards, do NOT by any means go to this store! Save yourself the confusion and hassle in driving here and bring your business somewhere else! Many other collectors outside of the Area 51 toxic community will tell you that they have also experienced the same, weird and out-of-touch feeling card shop experience.Even when I gave my honest opinion on this occurrence in the facebook group, I was ridiculed and temp banned because the people who run the page are players at this shop. The community is toxic and very unwelcoming.I have a much better time at many of the other California Bay Area card shops. Not only do they have fun and large communities, but the owners are also really cool. Unlike Area 51.

Come here almost every week overall amazing store

45$ for 1 dubwool box that is straight highway robbery. Never has anything even close to MSRP. What kind of games store gets no allocation. Either that or hes selling all of his way above msrp. Shady as hell. Go anywhere else

Best experience I’ve had while shopping at any store. The owner gives the greatest customer service. It’s very easy to shop there, there’s so many good cards and friendly customers that will also help you out with any questions you may have about yu-gi-oh cards. Apart from that he also has other very great merchandise that aren’t yu-gi-oh related. It’s always a 5 star experience when I’m in Area 51!

The owner is cool.

It’s really hard to find a card shop that can you feel more than just a customer every time you go there. Area 51 is one of those shops where you walk into a friendly atmosphere and are treated like a real person, The owner David makes sure everyone in his shop is taken care of when it comes to questions, finding cards, picking up sealed products and preordering items for you. He always goes 110% for people that come in. Area 51 is definitely one of those rare shops that just give you that warm welcoming feeling when you walk through the doors.

Area 51 is hands down the best shop in the 209. The owner is a really cool guy and the atmosphere in there is awesome. Would recommend to anyone in search of a nice place to hang out or buy some cards !

These guys are awesome! The magic events and tournaments are a lot of fun with a cheap buy in, and the DnD groups are just as fun. They have a great stock of stuff with a convenient computer set up so you can look up a card you are looking for without having to dig through their stock to find it. The community these guys have here is fun too, I have had no problem with mean or overdramatic players. These guys are awesome and I hope their business continues to succeed!

Do not bring trades here. The owner does not care about making a fair deal and absolutely will take advantage of your ignorance if you let him. He will literally lie and claim your trades are less valuable or in worse condition than they are instead of just being upfront about not really being interested in your stuff. Unless he can buy it for pennies on the dollar. If you cant get to wartorn in Manteca then dont be ashamed of buying sleeves here but if at all possible do not give this huckster your money.

I enjoyed my visit, Staff was very friendly I didnt feel like I was being Taken advantage of being a new collector and trading but over all it was a positive experience and I will be back again without a doubt to continue my business with Area 51.

The location may shift but the prices dont. The owner is super chill and even has $10 custom Star Wars shirts he prints himself!!! Good selection for D&D & card games. Carried Army Painter & the music is great.

Stumbled across this place and glad that I did! Great selection of Army Painter rattle cans (normally have to order them online) which is the main line I use for painting miniatures. Looks like they also carry tons of TCGs, DnD miniatures, board games, and various other nerdy necessities. Owner also seems like a real good dude and was very friendly, which is always a plusAlso has plenty of space for playing tabletop games and seemed relatively packed with Magic players on FNM. So if youre into any of that, definitely give them a chance!

Although the owner was a nice dude I feel like he doesnt really know the value of yugioh cards. I mean he wanted to buy 79 first edition holographic yugioh cards all for 6 dollars which is about 14 cents per card which isnt really fair. Again the owner seems nice he doesnt seem to know his yugioh cards
