The team here was incredible. When the Chevrolet dealership in Chamberlain SD refused to help me while I was stranded just off I-90, a call to Vern Eide resulted in an immediate plan to help and get me on my way. My main problem was the engine brake not working properly, that problem is not solved by the lady stating that the 10 speed transmission wont brake like my old 6 speed transmission. Newer should be better, correct?

I was driving through town on an 8.5 hour trip home and sheared bolts on my axles and they got me in right away in the afternoon and fixed. They were pretty busy and stayed a little past closing to get me on my way. The head mechanic let me take his personal vehicle to go find a piece that fell off that was required and couldnt be ordered.

I SPOKE WITH THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND AFTER MULTIPLE CALLS BACK AND FORTH THEY MADE ARRANGEMENTS TO COME TO ME (195 MILES AWAY), PROVIDED ME WITH A LOANER AND TOWED MY VEHICLE BACK TO MITCHELL. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE OF THIS DEALERSHIP. THEY ALWAYS RETURNED MY PHONE CALLS IF THEY WERE BUSY WHEN I CALLED, QUITE A BIT OF COORDINATING WAS REQUIRED TO FIX WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN A VERY COSTLY AND FRUSTRATING SITUATION. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WAS WONDERFUL AND I COULDNT BE HAPPIER WITH THE OUTCOME. I HAVE DEALT WITH MANY DEALERSHIPS THAT ONCE THEY MAKE A SALE YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN TO DEAL WITH ANY ISSUES THAT COME UP. THAT IS DEFINATELY NOT THE CASE WHEN YOU PURCHASE FROM VERN EIDE.

After driving home, which took me an hour and a half, I found that the bolt was not tightened on the oil pan & I was leaking oil!!

I had an unfortunate experience with Vern Eide GM. Maybe not their fault I purchased a truck with too many issues and I failed to purchase the extended warrant. but they also don’t seem to care I spent $30k for a used truck I now need over $4k in repairs about 6 months later. So you get 1 ⭐️My truck has been in the shop many times in 6 months for multiple issues. GM doesn’t make them like they used to. Oh well! I’ll definitely get the extended warranty next time!!!

Wayne Konz was excellent to work with prior to the turn-in day and on the day of the switch he had paper work ready, and he even found me a teachers discount, excellent on his part and GMC for little added bonus. Wayne made the transfer so easy with quick paperwork and the financial part was organized and well explained. I was a little nervous about learning the new bells & whistles of the new car, but Wayne took his time with all the explanations and had patience with me and my questions. He even had the horn turned off when I leave the keys in the car. That was almost a deal breaker if that could not be turned off.
