If you could get locked in any store this would be the one. Infinite healthy choices and a world of new experiences in every aisle. The good food store radiates light, love and goodness from the wonderful products they offer to the amazing people that make everything come to life. This place is your One stop shop for any meal, just a snack or a wide variety of other home goods and treasures.Expect to find medium to high quality goods at a fair price. Excellent parking and a stellar location central to Missoula means this store is a popular place those that seek good good food!
This place is like wonderland. It has such an expansive variety of the products I love and cant find anywhere else. Its foodie heaven for the culinarily conscious. A literal cornucopia of top shelf taste bud titillating produce and products. The good food store is a rabbit hole I could enjoy getting lost in for hours if only I had the time.
This place is extremely high priced!! Same produce from fresh market..but 4 dollars more a lb..and too high to compete with Albertsons and walmart!! AND WINCOS..ORGANIC BULK IS WAY CHEAPER. My child is gluten/wheat/dairy free and I have been able to buy groceries elsewhere. Half the price, and the other stores advise me on shopping tips for her illness. CHRONES Disease!!!
As a tourist and new guest to this well-stocked market, I missed the sign at the handmade soup shelf saying there was a $2 deposit on the quart jar.At the checkout counter I decided not to take the soup. The bagging person suggested that she run back and get a to-go container which she did and transferred the soup into the to-go container for me.This is good old-fashioned Customer Service and Kindness. Thank you Evelyn!
Health food and deli enjoyed by many, pizza by slice, will order items by case
Excellent customer service, nice clean place with pretty much any food or household item you need. Pricey, but not unexpectedly so. Fresh pizzas made ready, deli, all that good stuff. Much like a Whole Foods as far as merchandise.
Great big natural food store with fresh deli and hot food options to take out. Nice wine section.
Beautiful store, but bring a fully stocked wallet 😉
Came in for my holiday baking spices and dried fruits. Love all the selection!
Good products but prices are high. Higher than anywhere else in town. Good coffee and juice bar
Hands down the best health food store Ive experienced in Montana.Every single category has a fantastic selection and the ingredients in their hot foods accommodate a number of good allergies.
What a great store! We were only visiting Missoula for a few days, so we were able to pick up all our yummy breakfast, lunch and dinner items here. Great local beer selection, too! Were used to PCC and Whole Foods in Seattle, and I would say Good Food is comparable if not better in some aspects.
A must stop every time I’m in Missoula. How do all of the prepared foods blow my mind every single time? Soups / sandos / salads all go off
Awesomely helpful staff and wide array of all things dank and tasty.
Please stop forcing your employees to wear masks. They dont help, and I dont want to hear its about everyones safety, you are doing it for me or its a CDC recommendation. The CDC is a joke and has been flip-flopping. You would have employees wearing five masks at once if the CDC said so. If I was concerned about safety I wouldnt be shopping here. Im also not worried about an employee breathing on me, Id rather see their smile but unfortunately it appears to me that most of them are not happy. Its also very frustrating at the register when you cant understand them because of the mask and the plastic screens in front of everybody at the register. This is not being considerate of employee health. Do you even care what their feelings are in regards to the subject. Let them decide if they want to wear one.
We were only in Missoula 5 days, and visited 3 times !! I love this store so much. Thank you ! We will be back next year !
Great place to shop for a large variety of organic and natural foods...like the bulk section!
They ALWAYS go above and beyond their actual jobs. This place makes me so happy.
Great health food grocery. Always fairly crowded. We spend a chunk of our earnings here. It would be nice if they had a rewards program or gave back to their customers a bit more.
This is my favorite grocery store in all of Missoula. It sells all super healthy food, although I think Ive gained weight since I started going. Their desserts are just too good! I dont get much in the way of cooking ingredients here, but I do love their selection of pre-made foods and drinks. They have a great little selection of craft beers and ciders that I really appreciate. I swing by a few times every week just to pick up some of the great stuff they offer.
Went there for Gaia brand turmeric for joints, which I found in the usual place among nutritional supplements. While I was there, I asked a passing employee for help finding a supplement that would give me energy; a pick-me-up. She indicated a section on the bottom shelf. I asked for a recommendation. She said Voke chewable super-foods energy packs were popular. I bent and picked up an item, but it wasnt what shed described, so I asked her to show me the Vokes. She vaguely pointed. I asked how much. She told me the prices were as stated. I said, I cant see that far, thats why Im asking. Embarassed, and wanting to leave the encounter, I grabbed a packet of two Vokes chewables for $3.99.Went back for Womans multivitamins. After consultation with staffer, I chose New Chapter brand for ages 40+. The staffer thought the manufacturer might make them for ages 60+, but theyre not big sellers, so shed have to do a special order. Ill make do with the 40+ for now, wondering whats missing.
My favorite grocery store. The freshest produce and friendly cashiers.
Well what isnt good about this store, is absolutely nothing!!! Except I dont have one in my town. I would highly recommend that everyone stops in to look around and be amazed!!!! 5 stars all day long
Great service and phone service. Great inventory. A bit pricey and no flexibility on the price
They have everything! My favorite grocery store, it’s huge and full of great stuff!
Best grocery store ever. Customer service is out of this world. Bulk options are plentiful, all meat is sustainable, therefore pricey, but they are super careful about their sources. Cashiers (esp weekday ones) are excellent. And, GFS gives back to the community hugely. There is no owner getting wealthy here, just a BOD running the store. Love this place.
Always enjoy shopping there for groceries. Well, what else to say when they have Raclette cheese. Nice little bakery. They have plenty of food choices to eat there or take out. Staff is always nice and professional. I like their wine selection. They support local businesses. Pleasant experience all the time.
My wife and I absolutely love this store. We came in the other day for pizza and some groceries. Also, we stopped by in the retail section and got a set of new knives that are out of this world amazing. The staff at Good Foods is super friendly and nice. This place is certainly worth stopping by.
I love this store & you will too! Imo Its a must for anyone visiting Missoula & goes without saying if you live here! I can honestly say that Ive never had a negative experience here.Their customer service is definitely some of the best in town. They have an incredible selection of all things food; beautiful produce, bakery, bulk food, deli, cheeses, wine & beer. Awesome gift ideas, homeopathic medicine, sundries & healthy choices all the way around. Im beginning to sound like one of those fake reviews lol I feel like its important to share, when a local business is hitting every mark. Thank you for everything yall do!
Best grocery store in Missoula for living Plastic Free. Lots of sustainable / environmentally responsible choices.
Organic for the most part, great selection, my main place to shop
Picked up lunch here. Good selection including vegan options. Think Whole Foods.
Very clean and feels safe to shop here. They really do a good job on the masks, and the cleaning of used carts. The food is packaged and served very safely. The only complaint is that during the pandemic, the food choices are limited. The menu for the hot food could really use a change up as even I am tired of the same 3 or 4 hot items available. Some prices are overboard like $2.49 for a piece of corn bread. Come on. Healthy food shouldnt be a luxury.
Was genuinely surprised at how cheap my order came out to be
Great place luv there food here and there deli 2
Nice staff. Great selection.
The locally owned equivalent of Whole Foods, with a similarly selected and priced set of foods. Excellent beer and wine department. Wonderful produce and dairy.Highly recommended.
This grocery store blows away Whole Paycheck, and has such a great selection of organic produce and fun ingredients!
Awesome hot food and grocery selections. Kind/attentive staff. Local meats and other stuff. Nice atmosphere
I live 65 m away, but when I go to the big. city for shopping, my last stop is the Good Food Store. Of course I take a cooler to drive the hour and keep my treasured prepared food cold. So many choices. Of course less now with the covid regs, but still a great treat. Also l lollots of organic vegs, fruits, bulk flour, grains, cereals, nuts, candy. Cleaning products good for the environment. Organic cheese. Meat custom cuts, butcher. Friendly staff. Some supplements and special beauty products. Too much to name. Take yr own shopping bags. I dont buy prepared food ever from elsewhere, but I have here for 2 yrs, have never got sick from this market.
Wool socks in sandals. Flannels galore. Subaru’s spread across the car park. No excuses for me, no “excuse me.” Would be five star if not for the other clientele that for some bizarre reason have no manners. Great place to get fresh veggies and fruits, bulk items, meat, cheese, wine, beer and all your other high priced fancy grocery items.
The good food store has a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables. Great bulk section. Overall a great store.
When looking for a specific product the help from the employees varies, some are very knowledgeable while others just say they dont know or dont have it and yet I search and sometimes find it. They do however have great produce and carry A2 milk. Their meat prices are a little high but their sales prices are usually good. If you want to shop local businesses shop here but if youre not local like me there are some better choices.
Great hot ready to eat vegan and gluten free options from the deli!
Nice selection of cheeses and bread. Similar to Whole Foods.
Great selection of natural and local products
Yummy! I love shopping here. They have tons of things the surrounding stores dont have. Some items are cheaper here and some more expensive. It really just depends. Its worth it usually though since other places dont have what they do. 😊
I stop here almost every time I drive through Missoula!
I love the idea of the store and everything that it tries to promote as far as eating healthy and saving our planet, as well as their coffee bar, their hot deli & salad bar...all of its great! But I cant afford to shop here because its way overpriced. Which sucks!
I am very happy they have converted to a glass jar system. It is super easy and much better for the environment. They have a great variety of items. If I am searching for something unusual, I can almost always find it here. It is also worth mentioning that in this pandemic time we find ourselves in, I appreciate that they enforce masks to protect me, my family and the general public.
Products are excellent. Pricing is fair. Layout is awkward. Had a delicious turkey cranberry wrap.
I always go there to get my natural medicines
Stopped in here while traveling. This place is a gem. Decent prices, quality products. More options in bulk bins then I have seen anywhere! They have a great selection of vegan products if your into that.Also- their hot bar is not open right now but they have made to order sandwiches (great size for price) and wok bowls along with pizza by the slice! If I lived close this would be my go-to store!
Went specifically for raclette cheese, new to the area, this store is a good, healthy find!
This place is fantastic! Highly recommend the rotisserie chickens and the bakery. The staff are wonderful, and the store takes safety seriously. They are a great staple of the community.
Makes living with Celiac much easier!
This store is the place to shop if you are into nutrition and taste. The produce was very fresh and there was an excellent selection. I loved the multiple brands of almond milk along with the great Organic Valley milk in the dairy case. However, I wish that there had been a quart size container of soy milk- when you are van camping you cannot fit big sizes in a small fridge. The salmon salad was great. The desserts, especially the bags of cookies, were wonderful- made using quality ingredients and each cookie was a normal serving size (I hate oversized bakery items). This store is a gem!
Really love Good Food Store, just wish prices were a little less. I can find many of the gluten free items we need for less at Natural Grocers. Another note, I came home one day after shopping for produce there, hadnt really given it a thought just assuming it was all organic, until I spotted one of the stickers and realized all my bell peppers were conventionally grown. I know youre naturally going to pay a little more to support local. I just cant afford it as often as Id like. There breakfast bar is one of my favorite places to eat out for breakfast though!
This is what we all wanted whole foods to be like. I wish there was a Good Food Store in every town. Many locally sourced foods, groceries, a cafe, and a deli/pizzeria 👌
What an immaculate experience. Easily the best store in Montana.
Isnt open on Thanksgiving. But its a good place if you like natural, organic, and Whole Foods. And at one time it did have a cooking class you could take if you wanted to learn new recipes.
The bulk selection is awesome and the produce is great too.
Baggers need to learn how to bag. They bagged my groceries and put my mushrooms on the bottom under the celery, broccoli and 3 large bottles of water. My shitaki mushrooms were ruined. All mushed
This is such a gem in Missoula. We love going here for charcuterie and cheese. The staff is cheerful and always willing to help. Even in this weird year
Very fresh fruit and vegetables.Store very clean.Good Service.
I have always been happy with this stores cst serv, food selection and vibe. Cannot beat made in MT and organic to boot.
This is one of the best grocery stores in the nation. There not the cheapest! You get what you pay for and they have the goods. I love their hot bar, deli, pizza, wok bowls, and their staffs friendly vibes. Great bulk selection. You can even refill your shampoo here. Talk about sustainability!
Fantastic selection of top quality goods and produce, meat quality is top of the mark, specialty cheeses and spices are a nice find. In store bakery and pizza shop are pretty great as well.Pricier that most because of the quality though, so I recommend shopping elsewhere for pantry Staples and coming here for those hard to find ingredients, or things where quality matters.Ive heard their cookware section is out of this world but it is closed currently for COVID so Ill have to check it out when things return to normal before I speak to it.
A cornucopia of foods both alternative and republican. The salad bar may be gone for now but there are portioned out salads and other delectables from the cooks. Quite simply the go-to market in Missoula, for its variety, quantity, and bulk foods. An eclectic, kind staff rounds the experience out.
Very rude employees. If you trust God, then stay away from this sinful place.
Great deli sandwiches and pizza! What a fun store!
I would move to Missoula for this grocery store. Amazing bulk, hard to find items, calm and well curated space. And delicious prepared food. It was love for all the senses.
It’s Montana’s version of Whole Foods. Pretty much the same concept. Glad it’s there for hard-to-find ingredients and such.
I love the Good Food Store! So much goodness in one place! Im talking organic, delicious, locally-sourced, non-GMO, natural, bulk, recycled, goodness for you & your children, your pets, your planet, & your mom. Missoula has amazing bakeries that have goods for sale there, not to mention the stores own baked goods, deli items, smoothies, etc. You can sit & stay & enjoy your food there, too. It has a chill, subtle, slightly urban-hippie ambiance. I guess thats how to describe it. Very dialed down on the urban aspect, as we are in Montana. Very friendly vibe. Its good. 🙂
This place has an incredible selection of organic products. I was only in for a few things and eneded up leaving with more than I anticipated. Very good pastrues, especially the garlic croissants.
This store has lots of good quality, unique products and is laid or well, with helpful employees. However, the prices are very high, making it an unrealistic shopping option even for middle class people. Best to just go there for a few select items.
Great deals, such a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan ingredients and frozen meals. Which Ive had difficulties finding the best of both worlds (decent priced and quality etc..) in the past.
Awsome products and customer service
A little pricey, but you can count on quality, fresh organic produce and groceries. Covid-19 precautions are in place for safe shopping. Masks required.
Like every independent grocery store in Missoula, this place is fantastic. Being from St. Louis I am amazed at the variety and quality of the products available. If you are sick of sanitized, big-chain grocery stores this place is perfect for you.Highly recommended.
Great selection and great staff.
They have an awesome variety of organic, alternative options and good quality food and household items. For sure the prices are a bit more than what you want, but for organic and the variety they have, its definitely worth it!!So go check em out today! 😊
Amazing place. I’ve seen bulk stores all around the country and this store had me very impressed! Got some delicious Montana tea and veggies.
Perfect organic food selection
This is a very great store. Yummy food. All fresh and good. They have places to scoop your own nuts, candy, dried fruit, gold fish, etc. Also have a pizza place inside, with horrible pizza, that tastes fishy. The prices are VERY high. Other than that, its awesome.
I seriously love this store. Out of every store I have ever been to for groceries, this is by far my favorite!!! I am really sad I can no longer go here since I moved to Phoenix. I wish they would expand here since there is not another store like it. If you want eco friendly, bulk items, or just great buys, go here!!!
I had the most delicious slice of pizza I have eaten in over twenty five years, and that includes anything in Chicago where I now call my home. The coffee was excellent, too, and it is easily up to the standards of the very best in coffee anywhere. The hot buffet is a great place to eat. I didnt buy any groceries, so I am unable to review anything about the market.
GREAT PLACE .... just a bit ... upitty about tend omg topics.... healthy food for sure
Great food products, very helpful. Hometown feel, lots of bulk items, COVID ready.
Even though the prices at the Good Food Store can be a little expensive sometimes, this stores offers a great and unique variety of groceries, produce and pastries among other items. Their deli department also offers great dishes. I used to shop a lot of their bulk items some of which are not available elsewhere in town. I also love their sourdough bread. Their produce items are very fresh. Plus, people working at this store are nice and friendly.
Grass finished isnt free range natural. INSANELY expensive beef with zero to little marbling. Sadly, I have to say Walmart has better Prime beef than this place for 30% the price.Good rip off store.
Helpful people. I found the Cod liver oil.i needed.
