Could never keep enough Jerky on the shelves to fulfill customer demand, and now I learn that they are closing for good. Diamond Bar could continue to be a successful business if the owners could view their business from the side of their customers (be open longer than 4pm, and try to keep things in stock). Its a shame you are closing, but for all involved, its for the best.

Doesnt get any better than this. The staff were all friendly and helpful. After trying several cuts of meat I find that the quality is very consistent. The prices are a bit higher than a typical grocery store, but the quality far exceeds any store in Missoula. Its definitely worth a trip there and dont forget your cooler.

This place has become a running joke! Generally speaking, their products arent too bad, but their prices are definitely on the stout side, and their business hours? Well, theyve become almost laughable! Theyre closed on Sunday and Monday, and they now close at 4:00 pm every other day of the week, so that everyone else who actually works for living, cant possibly hope to get there in time! Plus, theyre usually out of ribeyes (and most other desireable cuts of beef), they dont take credit or debit cards (cash or check only), and they often pad the weight on the scale by as much as 10%, so that you end-up overpaying for whatever it is theyre selling you anyway!! Thats about as un-friendly a set of consumer circumstances as any business Ive encountered in recent years, and although weve been devout, almost daily customers for 5+ years, were done going back! Good luck to you, Jay!! Its rather clear that the convenience and well-being of you and your staff, meant more to you than that of your patrons. As the owner, you have the right to do whatever you please, and I salute that right, but the local markets havent all changed their hours . . . our family veterinarians havent changed their hours . . . nor have any of them claimed that they needed to close early every day because they were too busy. Thats gotta be an all-time first!And now, just days later, we learn that Diamond Bar Meats is closing its doors permanently on August 1st. The owners claim that its not because of Covid-19, but rather, because they were simply exhausted. Either way, I can and do appreciate their decision, and its the right one for all concerned, because it was fairly obvious in recent months, that their hearts were no longer focused on the business. Good luck to you in your retirement, and thanks for the good (pre-Covid) years of service to the community.

Exceptional service, cleanliness and fantastic meat. Local meat. Have chicken, beef, pork, smoked turkey, smoked ham, best bacon, shaped hamburgers, pick your steak, roasts, make their own sausage. Family owned, family run and I cant say enough good about them. Take cash or check--no debit or credit cards. Also take SNAP cards. Awesome bunch of people.

I called here and asked about a meat package and the woman I spoke to was the rudest person I have spoken to in all of Missoula and Im a local so I deal with most businesses here considering how few businesses are in Missoula. I will never buy anything from them considering how I was treated on the phone. I would hate to go into this place and pay someone to treat me disrespectful and be rude just for me to pay their paycheck. Sad that their isnt good customer service at this place!!!!

I just totally dig stopin at Diamond Bar. The guys (an gals) behind the counter are so nice and helpful too, also. Its so convenient to make a real quick trip up to the meat store. They are open until 6:45p weekdays which is great for me and family. Oh yeah, the quality and selection is hard to beat☺. First time there they tried charging me $106.00 for 3 steaks. It was corrected because I said something tho they were ready to take my money.

I bought beef jerky that molded the next day. I was NEVER told their jerky had special rules. Normal jerky does fine in a bread box on my counter. They explained the difference between their BEEF STRIPS and jerky. I now know thier beef strips must be refrigerated.

Shop is clean and has quite an array of beef and pork & we won a half of beef. They helped us pick the cuts and how much of each we should get but it must have been a young cow because all the meat,,,!!! Is Tough steaks are small T bones, rib steak, the roasts are very tough we are great full for winning the beef just wish we could enjoy eating it....

Where to start. I hated steak growing up. Wasnt until I was 29 and had a new york strip from here I finally understood what a good steak was. Their beef jerky is the best Ive had - especially the spicey mix. I brought a pound into work and it was gone within an hour, and brought multiple people to the shop.Ive not even mentioned the fact that their stuffed porkchops are an insanely good value, or their diamond bar german style sausages...if you want a legit butcher, this is absolutely the spot in Missoula.
