We have shopped here many times. I rarely buy a brand new electronic device instead buying something a couple years old to save a lot of money. I trust Direct Computer Outlet and the guys there to provide the best used computers. They have a great selection but they also upgraded one of the Macbooks I purchased from them with a solid state hard drive. It was cheaper than ordering the drive myself from Amazon and the work was done quickly and done right. Even when I just went in with questions they were always happy to give advice but have never been pushy. I dont live in Kansas City any longer, but still make an occasional trip with Direct Computer Outlet being one of our must stop places.

Husbands favorite place to take his electronics. Have fixed several of his laptops. Mine too. Always congenial and knowledgeable. If you need a computer repair shop try them.

Ive had great experiences with this business.I purchased a system for a local business and they also repaired a laptop, great service.Looking for a laptop I stopped by again. Once I explained what my use was the staff knew what to suggest. We quickly determined the best system for my needs and under budget.2 month in and no problems, its done everything they say it would.

I had an old iMac that the power supply burned out. They just took my hard drive and put it in a bigger iMac monitor and it was about four times as fast. It took them a couple of days to get the whole thing done and I am very happy. It was at a very reasonable price too.

Hands-down the best computer store in Kansas City area. Excellent customer service every time and great prices on MacBooks. John and his crew made sure my computer was set up, ready to go, and ready for use upon leaving. I will always buy and refer people for computers to the store.

Excellent experience and a surprisingly pleasant find in Mission. I was looking for a relatively inexpensive laptop for work purposes which could be easily worked on/upgraded and the front clerk pointed me to a few refurbished options at a very fair price. After some discussion on their refurbishment process and warranty, I walked out with a Dell Latitude laptop that while looked rather dated (had some robust hinges which sold the deal as I tend to use my machines rather roughly at work), had good battery life, additional RAM slapped onto it, and DCOs stamp of approval for 140 dollars with tax.The device works very well following a windows reset even with a HDD, and I plan to replace the HDD with a SSD for a further performance boost. With the SSD upgrade purchase, my total will come up to just over 190 dollars for a zippy windows device dedicated for work and build like tank.Highly recommend a look. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and there are some good deals to be found in the store.

Outside of any local mainstream retail they keep the best computers for all your needs. That would include if you are a engineer, graphic designer, gamer, music producer, even if your kid is going to college, they have a machine for you. The products are not perfect but they do there best to make them that way.

Went in only knowing I needed a laptop. No time to research refurbished brands when theres work to do and your models LCD decides to go out!! Tommy was extremely helpful in explaining which were best for what I needed and in 5-10 minutes I left with a laptop Im truly excited about! Im not much of a computer person, so I was having a problem with a popup saying I had to put a product key in to keep Office. This was the first time in this store and the person behind the counter said I could either buy Office for around $130 or he would download another software for free. I ask him if he would load it on and I would pay him for it. After loading he said he would not charge me for loading just come back again. Im not used to this type of service. Im very happy to have a locally owned busy so close to me. They are the best!!!!!!!!

This is the best place in Kansas City to buy a used Windows or Apple Laptop or Desktop. They have a wide variety of choices and all are hooked up and running so you can try before you buy. The prices are very fair and the help is very knowledgeable and laid back.

I have purchased a Mac Portable here and several other things. Prices are good for used equipment and they have a warranty (short) in case it has an issue they could not fix in advance. Good selection of used Macs and even actual OEM power supplies and other accessories so you are not getting unknown 3rd party stuff. Ill keep going there for stuff, save the sticker shock of new machines when you dont need the speed.

Went in to see about getting a charger for an asus laptop I bought in 2019, for $560. Went in today 02-06-21 just over a year and offered me 300 or less. Also the one I purchased from them was a trade in, was told that upon purchasing it so they are trying to get you twice. Won’t ever use them again

These guys are the best! I have purchased a desktop Mac and a Macbook from them. They are eager to help you find what you need and then there are always there to help you should any issues arise. I bought my Macbook from them back in April. Last week the battery went out. They asked me to bring it in before they closed that day so they could get right to work on the diagnosis. In the end, they replaced the battery and said no charge. Are you kidding me? Thats incredible customer service. These guys are great at what they do and are always friendly.

I trust them with my heart because even though they sell used products (mostly), the devices are reliable, in great conditions, and very affordable. The customer service is great and the place is always very cleaned. :). Bottom line, I recommend this place to anyone who wants to purchase an affordable long lasting device.

I bought a iphone from this place expecting it to be in good condition. I remember when I first had it I compared it to my work phone which the lighting seemed much brighter than it, but did think much of it. 20 days later the screen started fading and I had red streaks on the phone. When I went back to the store to show my phone, they said I must have dropped it or sat on it. The phone had no cracks, no scuffs and I did not drop it, sit on it, etc. My previous iphone was dropped, the screen cracked and still had no problems with the LED light. The store wouldnt do anything about it. Pretty sure the phone I was sold was on the fritz and they salvaged it just to sell it. Not a place I would recommend.

Twice now, Ive had the unfortunate circumstance of my Macbook Air sustaining liquid damage (water and coffee), and twice now, Direct Computer Outlet (DCO) have saved me huge amounts of time and money in fully repairing it. Where Apple had wanted to replace almost everything (~$700), DCO was able to save all or almost all parts, bringing the cost to less than 50% of what Apple wanted. Neither I or nor my companies will ever use any other computer repair company than Direct Computer Outlet.

Edit: The techs couldnt repair my laptop, which isnt an issue. But when I finally picked up my inoperable laptop and opened it up, I saw the HDD and RAM were missing. The laptop itself was worthless by this point because since the mobo was likely toast, but the harvesting of parts is theft and shoppers should be aware.

Before coming to Direct Computer I visited a competitor and asked if my administrator password could be wiped out, since I didnt have it, and they told me that my laptop could not be fixed and wanted to sell me a new one. Since I didnt fall off the infamous turnip truck yesterday, I had seen great reviews on Direct Computer, even though its in Mission, KS & I live in South KC, I made the drive and glad I did. Darius was more than helpful & for $30 he had me up & running. I was also having WiFi problems & had bought a USB card, well for another $30, they installed that puppy and for $60 I am rockin & rollin and I would highly recommend this place for computer purchasing or repair. Sad that I can only give it 5 stars.
