Amazing coffee shop with loads of options. I got a honeycomb latte with oat milk and a sweetened mango tea. Loved all the options, and the attached board game business. (Mission board games). Cute, quaint, and everything you want in a coffee shop. Baristas were friendly and helpful!

Urban Prairie Coffee is a terrific daytime pitstop when youre looking for a little pick-me-up. I had a very creamy, yummy iced mocha and both of my friends said their sandwiches were very good.I also like the cute pillows strewn about along with the hanging plants and colorful mural. This place is soooo fun! Very good menu with many breakfast options I love, including oatmeal, quiche, breakfast burritos and on weekends biscuits and gravy!! The seasonal October drinks are delicious - get the Witchs Brew, the blueberry and chocolate come through deliciously without being overpowering. The staff are pleasant and THERES A BOARD GAME SHOP NEXT DOOR!!!

Tiny hole in the wall gem! Great service, nice variety of offerings. Fresh and comfortable decor. 2 seats at the window bar, a lounge area with a window bench and 3 other seats plus 3 tables that seat 2 each and lots of outdoor sidewalk seating. I saw home made pop tarts and power protein balls among the usual pastries. La Marzocco espresso machine, that only those who know coffee will invest in and Hugo teas brewed fresh to order. In the cold case canned conventional energy and other drinks alongside local cheeses and cheese curds... irresistible!

Great coffee! Fresh and perfectly made, to order. Homemade pop tarts and steel cut oats are fantastic! Limited egg options, however. Burritos with egg, cheese and veggies or potatoes, but no option for just egg and cheese.

I really love the vibe of the place and the coffee drinks were 5 stars. I give 3 because the food took awhile to be served was cold. We ordered the tomato basil quiche which lacked flavor, the biscuits and gravy (good portion size for the prize but wasn’t exploding with flavor either). Biscuits a little hard. Breakfast burritos are good, if you add the sausage it tastes like they used italian instead of actual breakfast sausage. Love the seating options and the game store next door. Id definitely come back for coffee to try some other drinks and the pastries looked great!

We love Urban Prairie Coffee! Such a darling neighborhood cafe that displays a rotating collection of local artwork. The staff are always so efficient and friendly. They did such a good job navigating the pandemic and making their guests feel safe while maintaining their business. As a new mom, I appreciate having a destination to walk to in the neighborhood and the ability to call ahead to have my coffee delivered curbside. Keep up the amazing work UPC team!

My new favorite local coffee shop when I need coffee during the work day. I really like their specialty lattes like their lavender berry latte and just tried the Black Forest latte (SO good). I don’t know where they come up with their ideas for these drinks but wow they are GOOD, as well as their pastries. They taste homemade and I like that their products are so good they speak for themselves and the coffee shop. Worth trying no doubt.

This place has been on my list to try for a while and I wasnt disappointed. The barista was very helpful with information about their drinks and food items and service was quick. The Smores latte was delicious and so was the turkey panini! Adding this to my regular rotation!

My son and I go there often. If I could give them more stars, I would. I really like there avocado toast, and the fact that almost all of their latte options are available in decaf and offer non dairy alternatives makes me very satisfied. Most importantly, the staff is awesome. So nice, quick and very accommodating.

Staff did a great job handling a busy Sunday morning crowd. Coffee was solid. Only downside was some guy complaining about ice in his drink, but not a lot the shop can do about that.

Its good. Not my favorite coffee but good. Mine was way too hot to drink for about 15 minutes. The staff was super friendly and the store is clean. Cool little game store attached.

This was one of the better coffee shops we visited. The coffee drinks had a strong coffee flavor and the vibe was very welcoming and chill. Along with the drinks they had great merch and being attached to a game store was a big plus for extended visits! I want to go back!

I LOVE this place!! Great Paninis, and delicious coffee. And if you go over a few steps, they have a game room!!! You can find great games to buy, for all ages!!!

Not only did we wait 20 minutes for a microwaved quiche, but the chai latte was spiced water. We were in town for an event and this was the end of our trip. What a let down.

Their drip coffee (messenger) is way cheaper than other coffee shops around ! Breakfast burrito is very good and a good size for the price. The sausage is more like an Italian sausage with fennel seed in it than like typical breakfast sausage which was an interesting twist

Great local coffee spot!! Came here for the first time for a meeting and it quickly became one of my favorite places. It’s also a great spot to throw open the laptop and knock out some work. Can’t wait to hold another meeting here!

Messenger Coffee - Ethiopian Natural Bombe and cherry, dark chocolate almond scone are phenomenal. When I move to O k atge next month, I will drive here to have their products.

Stopped by after a long day of shopping a while back. Never been before. Staff was helpful and friendly. Coffee was great! Loved that there was a walk-thru to a shop next door where people were hanging out, playing games... Will be back! Great coffee place.

I love the flavored iced lattes and food here. The turkey and provolone croissant is one of my favorites. I usually bring my toddler in with me and the staff is always so kind to us. Great place to hang out for a few minutes.

This place is small and the service was underwhelming. It took a long time and the lady at the counter didn’t bother to apologize. The almond latte was fine but I could have made it at home too. I will not be back.

Finally Johnson County has a coffee shop that’s not a Starbucks! Hallelujah! Urban Prairie serves Messenger coffee (which is amazing local coffee) and pastries from Ibis bakery (also amazing). The staff are so friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is very inviting and relaxing. Also, the ricotta honey toast is excellent. My family and I really like this place!!

Hidden gem - its small but they have good coffee and recently added more outdoor seating which is a great option during COVID!

Great place, great food. Unfortunately today was 2nd time before 9am on a Sunday they were out of the Spinach and 4 Cheese quiche. Adjust your inventory please. This was becoming an every Sunday visit but becoming not worth the drive over.

You will not be disappointed with this place. Friendly service and awesome tasting coffee. The staff is great at answering questions and suggesting new things to try. The mocha is delicious and the designs are a nice touch. I enjoy the art on the walls from local artists.

This was actually the last coffee shop I visited ever since I bought my own espresso machine and started making lattes at home four months ago. I ordered a latte here and it tasted sour. Not sure what’s going on but after four months of practicing I can say that the cup I ordered was under brewed, hence the sour taste. I am sure this wouldn’t be the standard coffee offered here so maybe the consistency needs improvement.

Was invited on a coffee date by an old acquaintance who offered to come to my side of town. Knew I didnt want a chain place, so an Internet search, the menu, and good ratings took us to Urban Prairie. It did not disappoint. My friend had the loaded oatmeal, I had the avocado toast and we both had iced coffee. It was a gorgeous day so we enjoyed 2.5 hours outdoors with goid food, good company, and good conversation. Ill definitely be going back.

The coffee is so good! I appreciate that they offer oat milk also! I had a muffin- which was delicious. I am so grateful of the fact that its a locally owned establishment.

Love this place and how close it is as a local Missionite. It’s attached to the board game store and as these are two loves of mine, i think it’s the perfect place. Coffee is local and delicious; love they have local nitro and cold brews on tap. They’ve been expanding their menu as of late full of local offerings. Highly recommend!

They have delicious baked goods and the Flite Fuel Nitro coffee is truly a nectar for the gods. So delicious!

The coffee was acceptable, not great, but drinkable. What I will say is if I had been as slow on the espresso machine as the lady who was working, I would have been fired in a heartbeat. Almost 10 minutes to make 3 lattes? Unacceptable. I really want to try the sandwiches, but I dont think Ill be coming in on my way to work again. Maybe on a day off.

Good coffee, not overpriced like most hipster places are nowadays, and nice atmosphere when sidewalk seating available. This is a more traditional coffee house, with a variety of flavors to choose from.

Such a cute little shop in the heart of downtown Mission. They have great coffee beverages as well as an impressive menu selection. I highly recommend the paninis, avocado toast, and pumpkin espresso scone! Cold brew is my drink of choice, and they even have choices for cold brew and nitro. I was impressed that such a little shop could pack such a punch. It is connected to the board game store, and you will find many people playing board games in the coffee shop.

They brew Messenger coffee which is always a plus. However they need a better system for food orders. They forgot someone’s toast while I was ordering them forgot my quiche. Just frustrating when you’re trying to grab something quick before work.

The place looks nice the coffee is good but the service is terrible I ordered a Panini and my daughter just a croissant they take 25 minutes on make it because there all girl and the owner was busy taking about another’s person o coworker. And they forgot my order.

Great new coffee and espresso house using Messenger Coffee Roasters! This is in the former Twisted Sisters Coffee Shop location right next to Mission Board Games. They open at 7:00am every day wth varying close times as they are just getting going. We like the new clean look and will definitely be back to this local establishment for their tasty coffee drinks and talented baristas.

It’s hard not to love this place. Avocado toast is phenomenal and the dirty chai is amazing. It has a very friendly and “chill” atmosphere.
