I had a lot of issues with my Toyota 4Runner. I had taken it to Toyota several times and each time it was something different and within a week of them fixing it the issues would return. British 4x4 came highly recommended so I decided to take my car in. Within a few days, Duke was able to find the issue and fix my car. It’s been running smooth for months! Absolutely love the service and transparency. This is now the mechanic I recommend to all my friends and family!

I was taken advantage of by two well-respected places and Duke from day 1 has ALWAYS been professional, kind, and tremendously helpful. Boo,They dont work on any English cars anymore, only Tatas from India, Jags and Rovers. Yes India. Yes your driving a Tata. They make those three wheel taxis you see in the movies. Maybe think about a name change to India performance? Look up Tata Motors.

Duke is extremely honest, competent and very knowledgeable. I have brought my Audi, BMW and Range Rover to him for major repairs which he has done at 40% less than dealer prices.

They rebuilt engine on our 2014 Jaguar XJ 5 .0 engine. Excellent service even detailed the car. They are right across from the Jaguar dealership but half the cost with professional personalized service. They really made this nightmare a dream. Made me feel like I have friends in the Jaguar business. Thanks guys

Bought a used 2013 LR4 and next day found out it had a leaky oil tank. Luckily British 4×4 took my car in right away and thoroughly inspected the whole vehicle and changed out whatever was needed at a fraction of the dealers price. Now I feel safe driving knowing it has been thoroughly checked by an LR expert who I can count on for honest service.

My battery was dead and called British 4x4. They said to bring it right in. When I arrived they took my vehicle back right away. The battery was changed in a half an hour and was on my way. Great service.

I only have amazing things to say about the work they did and their customer care.My 2006 Land Rover was diagnosed in less than two hours (at no cost to diagnose) and the work was completed same day. Duke was super transparent about the alternator issue and costs associated. He made sure to call and text me to communicate efficiently. When I went to pick up my vehicle, not only did the vehicle run perfectly, but he went above and beyond by giving my vehicle a full detail and fixing an issue I was having with my electronic key (without me even asking). Also I wanted to mention he offered me a loaner vehicle for the day while my Rover was in the shop. I truly felt like Duke and his team treated me like family, and I couldn’t have asked for better service!This a stark contrast from the experience I had with the local “British Performance Inc.” shop just days prior (disclosure: do NOT go here). I first went to them for the same issue and instead of providing quality service, they quoted me 6 hours at $150/hour just to DIAGNOSE the alternator issue. I have been coming to British 4x4 for many years. I have had nothing but great experiences from them. They are honest, knowledgeable and always great to work with. I have had a ton of work done with them from regular maintenance to major repairs. (I do a lot of off-roading) These guys go above and beyond. There was one time about 3 years ago that I was set to leave for Norcal on an off-road excursion. On the Saturday of departure, my alternator went out. British 4x4 is usually closed on Saturdays but I had my RRS dropped off there. Joe happened to be in the shop working on his personal truck. He dropped what he was doing and worked on my ride. He sourced a new alternator and I made it on my trip. I was blown away by their customer service. Ive had to replace my air bags and compressor, and they gave me the best pricing and quality work. Always the best quality! Chris is always very helpful. I am grateful for this place. Because of British 4x4, I am still able to play on the trails and build great memories with my family. Never been here; but, I pass it everyday on my way to work and I always wanted to visit because I thought it was a specialty store full of British products. I finally googled today and it’s an auto repair shop.

Let me start by saying that I am a car girl, and I always make friends with my dealer and mechanics. I treat my cars even better than I treat my husband :-) All kidding aside, I recently purchased a used 2017 Disco and wanted to start off with a good mechanical baseline. So, imagine my dismay when researching the poor repair/maintenance reviews on pretty much any Certified Land Rover dealership within a 75 mile radius of my home. Whether the reviews were unbiased or not, they made me reluctant to take my vehicle in for service. Enter British 4 x 4. I stumbled across this gem when researching alternative European mechanics and decided to give them a try - and Im so glad that I did! Ryan was exceptional - he performed the oil and filter change in record time and completed a complimentary multi-point inspection to make sure everything else looked good after my recent purchase. He then spent an extra 15 minutes in the car with me explaining some of the cool off-roading features and fancy buttons that had me previously scratching my head :-) He was professional, friendly and quite competent. I reached out to the owners regarding the possibility of acquiring another key, and they responded promptly with a phone call and follow-up email. You can be sure that I will continue using British 4 x 4 for all of my future Rover needs. Well done, guys!

I made an appointment very last minute, for what I thought was an emergency. They made what I thought was going to be thousands into just a few hundreds by changing fluids before the part itself. (I was told I would have to replace the whole transmission by another place) Super friendly staff and the owner is great. SUPER MILITARY FRIENDLY I can’t scream that enough ❤️ 10/10 would recommend.

I needed the 50K mile service on my Evoque, so I called the LR dealership I had been to a couple times, where my experience was mostly just OK.They couldnt give me an appointment for 2 weeks, and my check engine light had turned on. Sorry, no way to get me in sooner, they couldnt help me. The estimate for the 50K service was $448.So I called British 4X4. They got me in 2 days later, did the service, and it was $116. No need to change the filter and replace things not needing replacement!Thank you so much! My LR dealer days are over, I will definitely be back!

I moved to OC a few months ago and needed service on my Rover Sport, but had heard terrible things about the local dealers service. Another Rover owner recommended I try British 4x4 and man, I am so glad I did. Its not too often you find an Auto Repair shop to be full of great people, who are honest and ethical. Im not a car guy, so it would be easy to tell me something was wrong and needed repair and I wouldnt know the difference. So when I took my Rover in for a check and they came back out and told me the sensors just needed a reset which they did when they ran diags, and it wasnt going to cost me anything, I knew I had found an honest shop. Ive been back for a few types of service since that first experience, and have found Mike and the entire crew to be very friendly, responsive, super accommodating, and always helpful. I did check one of their quotes against the dealer across the street and they were significantly less expensive. Better service, less expensive than the dealer, and probably twice as fast. I highly recommend British 4x4!

Kirk & Team by far has gone above and beyond any service I’ve ever received! Brought in my BMW X3 and not only did he clearly explain everything that was going on with the car, but also created solutions! There was a ton of engine hose work that needed be done, and was completed in the most timely matter I’ve ever experienced! Also had my front breaks completely replaced! Kirk & Team run an extremely successful shop that’s kept on schedule so you get your car back if possible that day! Incredibly impressed and will be returning and referring anyone who needs any type of work!Also would like to note Kirk referred me to a body shop and assisted me through the whole process! Ive had my Range Rover served by Chris and his team for the past 5 years and wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Yesterday I had an oil change and a service done and the bill was $91.00 and there was no up selling. Anyone who drives on of these cars knows thats a bargain.

British 4x4 is the best auto repair shop in Mission Viejo!! Joe is very competent in his field and he manages a great team of professional mechanics. I was having trouble with one of my work trucks. The transmission was failing. I took the truck into British 4x4. Joe had the truck up and running the very next day, and in return I was able to have the truck back in the field and servicing clients right away. I have never met an auto repair company that is as affordable and honest as British 4x4.

I have a 2018 Landrover Discovery. Dealership wanted $600 for the 2nd scheduled maintenance at 19,000 miles. Called British 4×4 $130. They were honest and said its basically an oil change, softwear updates if needed, and filters if needed. They are awesome.

Kirk, Chris and team saved the day! Needed break pads replaced at short notice. Contacted them online late at night and sure enough, got a response also that evening and they were ready to see me first thing the next morning. Not only was my job short notice, but I also needed a quick turnaround and they delivered. Im a repeat customer already, but will be taking my other car (non-British) here too!

Friendly and Knowledgeable staff. Brought my Chrysler 300 here for a minor service because I was in the area. Extremely happy rhat they were not just a Land Rover repair shop but they do service and repairs for all types of vehicles.

Being a busy single mom and working full time I neglected my normal scheduled maintenance on my car and was faced with replacing my front tires, one had a slow leak. I remembered hearing that British 4x4 was owner operated, reputable and decided to call them for help. Kirk the owner said to bring it in which I did within an hour, he had his guys look it over and determined my tread was showing on my front tires and back wasnt far behind. They also checked my brakes as a courtesy. Before I knew it Kirk was coordinating 4 new tires for me at a great price and sent me on my way with no charge. His business ethic is phenomenal and professionalism exceeded my expectations! I will be returning here for all my service needs and referring everyone I know! This is not a place that will rip you off or charge you extraneous amounts for subpar work but a place thats family owned, cares about their customers and gets the job done right the first time.

I took my Sons 03 Discoverey in to see if it was worth buying to get him out of his payment, and give us a car for our out of state residence. They said there was a radiator leak about $1,200. Repair. But apparently did not do a pressure check . They also said my brakes that needed new rotors would be $1,400. They also said I needed some suspension work$ 370.. I declined and told my son, who said he had the suspension work done 6 months ago and showed me the receipt. So I went to his mechanic to double check. He did vacum pressure test on cooling system no leaks whatsoever. And the suspension had been done .It needed brakes .4/4 said I only had 30% . They also said my Battery should be replaced it only had 60% left (seriously ) I guess they thought because I have Gray hair and admitted I knew nothing about Rovers, I was an Idiot. Nice guys though .It cost me $120. For inspection . No hard feelings we all gotta make a buck.
