Like clockwork I am here because my friend needs cigarettes. To reimburse me I get an orange Fanta. On the rare occasion I drink, I am able to find what I need in this sweet little corner Liquor store. Gopher has all my love.

Its open until 10 most nights.Decent selection. Emphasis on the liquor. Then the vino. Could have a few other things but whatever.. its open until 10.And they have an International Tattoo Model on staff. 😯And a dude who wears a bada$$ Slayer mask.So, gopher liquor.

Small, low-key neighborhood liquor store with surprisingly large selection. Never crowded, friendly employees, follows covid 19 precautions well. Definitely my go to place for a quick liquor run, would recommend.

This is a convenient spot in my neighborhood and people working there are friendly, but on 3 separate visits different employees have not been wearing masks, take them off to talk/eat/drink, or dont wear them over their nose (when you do this the transmission risk is just as high as no mask at all). The store is small so its hard to maintain distance from maskless employees and it makes me so uncomfortable I cant shop here anymore, sadly. Wish theyd take things more seriously this far into the pandemic.

To this day, I cannot recount why there were 4 small rodent like creatures roaming the premise, but my instincts told me that my yellow buck-toothed friends were simply looking for a fine selection of brewed beverages to quench there dirt burrowing needs. I was ignorant to the multi species cliental that gopher liquor receives on a daily basis, but given the quite fitting name and low counters, its no wonder that gopher liquor appeals to humans and rodents alike. With deals as good as these, us humans and 4 legged organisms can bask in the money saving glory that this establishment has to offer. God speed you hairy brethren, god speed. Cheers! 🍻

I recently started going to Gopher a few months ago because of long lines at other places in NE- not the case at Gopher! Its a family business that takes care of everyone that walks through the door. They also have Lottery!

Small store and COVID-19 precautions are not enforced. Do with that information what you will. I understand employees not being willing to fight with every customer who goes in there without a mask but for my own safety I won’t be going back.

Nice location. No thrills, no nonsense, just what you need liquor store. Prices not as cheap as the bigger stores but I’d rather support small business owners anyway. Definitely will be back.

Its exactly what you need for a neighborhood liquor store! The selection isnt too varied, but if youre looking for a common beer or liquor, theyll probably have it at a good price!

Serious local character in here. While the managers may be eating sunflower seeds and watching a small portable TV, and while the overall selection leaves much to be desired, walking in here makes me feel like part of the little Northeast Minneapolis world. You could call their selection well curated, and you could say their prices have a convenience fee, but they usually have what I need and the ladies running the place are NE Mpls nice.

Frankly were my visit to this place not necessitated by the requirements of my friends party being hosted nearby and having to walk somewhere close, I would have sought a different location. The comments in these reviews citing a poor selection and - depending on your own demeanor and how they size you up - colorful folks behind the counter, are accurate.

I used to avoid this place due to the terrible selection and rude service, but after hearing one of the two sisters that work the counter use racial slurs it turned into a straight up boycott. Im glad they closed. Hopefully someone does something cool with the building!

Ignoring the two ladies eating White Castle watching Jerry springer behind the counter (not a joke or exaggeration) this place might be the worst in the city. Overpriced. Zero selection.Let me put it simply for you: I once bought grenadine to mix cocktails, and realized after getting home that it was over 1 year past its expatriation date...
