I cant believe I havent given you guys a review yet. Hands down the best hockey shop Ive been to for getting professional help with my gear. I recommend this shop to every one of my hockey buds for anything they need done. Mike Brodzinski and the whole crew always offer friendly service and will get you straightened away with whatever hockey needs you may have. Ive baked a few pairs of skates here, and Mike helped punch my new goalie skates to remove a couple hot spots. He was busy getting ready for a shooting lesson for one of his students, but he still made time to help me out. I always feel like a valued customer. If you have a hockey need, this is the place to go. Thanks for the great service, guys. Ill try to swing in for a sharpening tonight!

We were informed that this location was bought out by Pure Hockey. The leasing program is no longer available. Just a heads up if you were heading out that way to lease skates.

VERY slow service. Consistently takes 30 min to get my skates sharpened at HC. Last time I sat there 30 min while the guy talked on the phone with someone about random things. I almost went in the back and grabbed my skates and walked out. I will never go there again. They need more staff so one person can focus solely on sharpening. Good selection of equipment, skates, and sticks.

They helped us out for a good half an hour, baking, sharpening, and stretching our sons skates because they were hurting his feet. We are in town for a tournament. When we went to pay the guy said it was no big deal and told us to come back if any problems. Good service and they were patient.

Learned my lesson. Will never step foot in that store again except to returned the leased pair of skates that we have. Went in to question them about some blades that were in our leased skates seeing as they were completely worn out and were rockered out. We shouldnt have leased them in the first place but didnt know better at the time. I asked them if we could exchange them for another pair or get the blades replaced and the guy was truly pissed that I would even ask such a question. The employee was a really tall overweight guy with a beard. Generally grumpy. When I told him I kindly disagreed with why we didnt need to replace the blades he went and talked to his boss. The owner was semi respectful and talked to the employee and made him put new steel on the skates. However, the employee must have been so pissed that he decided to screw over a seven year old hockey player because he was upset at the dad. He put two completely different blades in the skate and sent me on my way without even a word it was more of a grunt. It was like I pissed in his cereal or something... Once I looked at the skates and realized what he had done I went straight to a different Hockey Shop that I have more respect for. They looked at the skates in disbelief. Luckily, they decided to fix the problem free of charge. Looks like I found my new hockey shop and I will never set foot in Hockey Central in Blaine ever again. The owner should really think a little harder about who he puts behind the counter at his establishment. They just lost about 10 grand worth of business over the next 10 years. And you better believe Ill be sharing my story.

Great store wonderful staff

My son and I stopped in after a skating clinic 3/25/2018.The employees here are abysmal. I dont know where they get these young people but they are not qualified to sharpen or sell hockey skates.I could walk out laughing but its too bad Im sure there are some uninformed parents that will actually listen to their inaccurate sales pitches and biases.Needless to say Id shop somewhere else.

Adult Goalie here - I bought some clearance Bauer Vapor goalie skates on lease so I got the free sharpenings and baking... a nice perk. But what took it over the top was when last week the Baurers broke after a few months use, they took the money down on the lease and used it as store credit.... I was able to get better skates for actually less cost in the end. I walked out last week with new skates (again) with nothing more out of pocket. Definitely do the lease.

Prices were high, staff seemed bothered by helping, I recommend Letterman or play it again, both are real close

We have been customers of Hockey Central for years. Last week we purchased some shin guards from the Blaine store. Our 10 year old daughter wore them once and the strap tore off. We brought them back in, only to be told that the 3 people that were working there couldnt help us and we could come back on Tues. when MIKE the OWNER was there. So we did, MIKE completely ignored us for a while and wouldnt come out to talk to us in person. Finally one of the employees had the nerve to go in the back and talk to him about our situation. He still did not come out to talk to us. We were then told they couldnt do anything for us. We could leave it there and they could try to sew it back on or something. WOW - what horrible horrible customer service!!! Im disgusted with the owner and will never return. Well be passing this info. on to all of our hockey friends.

I called to ask about items i was looking to purchase and was told they have like 8 other things to do and it would take too much time. Way to drive people away. I will not ever buy from this place.
