This is my local hardware store, and I love both it and the staff. Im a relatively new homeowner and an enthusiastic beginner when it comes to home improvement, and Welnas friendly staff have helped me more times than I can count. They are always willing and ready to talk through my projects, give me recommendations, or also just chat in a neighborly way. Im on first name basis with almost the whole staff after this summer of home improvements! Definitely can recommend as a trustworthy source of supplies and advice.

This location has friendly and helpful staff who are willing to step in to answer a question or let you figure things out yourself.Picking up parts here is relatively quick given that theres been plenty of parking available either out front or in the little lot around the back.

Im so glad I have this in the neighborhood. Sure. Its not a big box store. There is a premium on some items. Whatever. The convenience of not having to drive and park and deal with the masses makes it worth it. COVID accomodations are working well. Granted the usual hardware store over buying cause you get all the ideas while walking through is missing but I dont know how to fix that. I have yet to ask for something within reason and them not to have it. Calling ahead to see if in stock is highly recommended. Plus if you know already what you want it can be pulled for you! Keep it local!

GREAT HARDWARE STORE!!!I tend to try to support independents and smaller businesses. Welna Hardware is a wonderful source of all things hardware, as well as knowledge. They have wonderful employees who are not only extremely knowledgeable, but are also very friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to help their clients.I need to make a special mention about ARIA, an amazing young woman who really knows her stuff, especially when it comes to wall repair and painting (but her vast knowledge is not at all limited to those areas). She is always so helpful and really takes the time, and gives my issues the attention they need, to find solutions.She is a great ambassador for Welna Hardware, as are all of the employees.It is the special service that I get there from people like Aria that keeps me going back there. That, and I can almost always get what I need there.I highly recommend this hardware store!

This store deserves a one star rating for not being open when I’m off work. I love to support local businesses but I also resent that because I live a few blocks from this store I have to drive fairly far whenever I need hardware. I would even be able to go in before work if they want to keep giving their employees their evening, but right now it’s only open when I’m at home on 1 day a week and I kind of want them to close permanently so there would at least be a possibility of another store coming into the neighborhood that I could run to in the early evening if I forget something for a home project.

Love these people! Always helpful. Theyve found great ways to do business safely in the pandemic. Commited to the neighborhood.

Great little store, super convenient location, and helpful staff.There’s a lot more stuff packed in here than you’d expect. They usually have whatever I’m looking for, even when I’m pretty sure they won’t. The staff are always helpful and friendly.The prices aren’t the lowest, but it’s worth a little extra to have the convenience of a great hardware store right in your neighborhood, and to support a local business.Next time you need some hardware or home item right away, don’t waste time driving out to the giant chain store in the burbs. Give either Welna location a call — they probably have just the thing!

Welna is a true local hardware store. In addition to great deals and friendly staff, Jim (the owner) is super involved in the Seward community. Highly recommend for anything from a new key to a jar of pickles (yes, they even have pickles).

I have been a resident of this neighborhood for four years. Even when I did not live in Seward, I still found myself going out of my way for the superior customer service at this hardware store. On the rare occasion that they do not have what I need, they are frank about directing me to a location that does. They have helped talk me through several projects from decoupage of a cedar planter box, staining of a walking stick, and the carving of a book to several repairs to my car.

Worst service as UPS Access Point. Called 3 times the same day just to make sure my package was there. The guy at the phone just sayed Hello and after me talking he just stayed in silence and then ended the call. When I tried calling back he didn´t answer the phone.

Small but well stocked neighborhood hardware store. They have replacement keys, bird seed, gardening supplies, paint and a variety of other small project necessities.

Incredibly knowledgeable staff have helped me with countless projects. They really know what theyre talking about. They have given me tons of great advice that has saved me lots of money by being able to do projects myself (as an amateur DIY-er) that I at first thought could only be done by professionals.

Welnas is a little slice of Small Town USA right in the middle of Minneapolis. Love it. Everyone who works here is helpful, and theyll even chat you up while you wait for them to ring up your purchases on their old-skool cash register. They sell plexiglass & will even cut it to the exact dimensions you need. Now thats service!
