This place is great!Really cool staff..Mainly I like it because if you go up on stage to do open mic comedy, why, you get ten bucks in store credit! Even if you do really, really badly, because you got drunk with that ten bucks 😅I gotta stop with that and actually tell jokes or something next time... 😬Twice is enough.Two out of two times I just got sloppy and started talking nonsense..Youre supposed to do jokes.In my defense, these places just let any maniac walk in off the street to do amateur stand-up.. 😄

Food was edible, nothing to brag about. I ordered The Loring And my husband ordered the hangover.Floors were filthy dirty especially in the area near the bathroom.Service was friendly.

As I spoke to a fellow patron, he pointed out the glaring concerns about cleanliness and lack of professionalism from staff. We agreed that staff could be cleaning in their downtime to make the first cafe more welcoming. I just wont be coming back for their food and lack of cleanliness.

A quaint LiL coffee shop...coffee is pretty tasty BUT, I can not call it inexpensive! On the positive side, they are attached to the Nicollet Diner. So you can sit in the coffee shop and Order food as well with your coffee. Also, they have a full bar which A LOT of ppl are attracted to. All in all, it is a nice and quiet little coffee shop if you need a place to chill and do some computer work or read a book.

MOLDY MUFFINS.I ordered a muffin to go from the window this morning and the bottom was clearly moldy. Upon bringing it back to the window, the worker gave me a casual sorry about that. I will not be returning here!

Once again full acceptance of my life and choices. Bartender was happy outgoing attentive and friendly. Kudos to Maisey and The Muffin TOP.....

The atmosphere is fun, eclectic, and artsy; however, the radio was so loud I could barely hear myself think. I like finding new coffee shops to study at, and I would not recommend this cafe if that is what you are looking for. The coffee was average, but the prices are good at least! Not terrible, but I probably will not be back.

Delicious coffee. I think some of the best coffee in the cities. It’s smooth, vibrant, talkative, and locally roasted! The baked goods are delicious with the coffee.

People who talk ish about this place have only been here once. Dont come when it is packed a expect the best service. Remember food takes awhile to cook please be respectful

Cozy, comforting, welcoming. I stopped in here on a really rough day, and the staff took excellent care of me. And the coffee is good, too!

Definitely one of my favorite places to chill at night - the Muffin Top has its own selection of pastries, coffees, teas, and liquors but you can also order anything from the 24-hour diner next door. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming and the baristas have usually been very helpful (though they can be drawn into the diners rush, so be prepared to wait a few minutes if thats the case). Theres a shelf with board games and some books if youre into that. The Muffin Top doesnt, however, have its own bathroom - it borrows from the diner for that too. All in all, you get the menu of the all-night diner plus a supply of truly delicious muffins in a very low-key, LGBT-friendly cafe.

I guess I asked too many questions...about coffee...I had two questions and it seemed inconvenient to you... Ill find a place more welcoming to strangers willing to try a place out for the first time... and spend my money there...

The waiter/bartender was friendly. Food was good, big portions.

Admittedly Ive only been in once and it was a little while ago but I remember this one barista, his name started with a J, anyways he was so busy talking with who we assumed was his boyfriend that I had to try and get his attention 3 times. My group finally just walked out and went to a Starbucks.

Delicious and beautiful drink, very amenable staff! However, not the best place if you are looking for somewhere to sit and work, not really a quiet studious atmosphere.

Have been in several times. The baristas are very attentive and create wonderfully perfect drinks. Awesome chill atmosphere. Food is very good as well. Prices are good, lower than Spyhouse Cafe. Art work on the walls needs to be replaced.

I asked for a double espresso. I received a watery lungo with no crema. My croissant was too hot -- microwaved? Not a coffee lovers cafe.

Friendly, good treats but Im always disappointed with the coffee. Its mediocre at best no matter what I try so I switched to an Italian Soda and gave up when the second one I ordered was undrinkable.

Amazing hot chocolate, and theyre always so helpful with hosting small meeting groups be in the main level or the basement.

This and the attached diner isnt always perfect, however I went more when they were new and those problems are probably dealt with by now. I do love that there are a queer owned business and that there an employer of so many people in the community.

Great friendly knowlageble staff ... Great coffee nice atmosphere oh ya and in house made muffins and pastries...plus the owners rock!!And you can now order at the coffee shop from the diner next door and have it brought to you by the waiters and waitresses!! And now serving liquors!!
