Our car was in for a batter change, we decided it was time for new tires as well. Action called within hours with a quote for both as well as recommending breaks and rotors (which we new was coming). The quote was incredible and what we assumed we would be paying for the tires and battery alone! David was the mechanic that worked on my 2012 Chevy Tahoe and he did a phenomenal job! I will always support family-owned businesses like them, because they are the backbone of the United States. Have only been once and had a great experience. They seemed really booked, but they got us in for an oil change that also turned into a mouse nest removal behind our cabin filter. So thankful that they found that. They knew we were leaving on a roadtrip and were (rightfully) concerned about our tires. They gave us a quote on all 4 with installation which was right on par with the best prices in town on really good tires, so did that too. Only took a couple days and let us use a courtesy loaner car. Excited to go back!

Price for a flat tire repair is $30 very expensive compared to the average in town. My tire was flat only after driving for about another mile. Tire not balanced

They are a very honest business. We had some work done and a plastic wheel-well wasnt attached all the way and came off and was shredded. They replaced and gave us a loner car while they did the work. I have had only good experiences with them.

We’ve taken our Subarus here over the last few years for alignments- the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Vehicle not working? GO TO THIS FAMILY RUN BUSINESS!!Im am ex mechanic and dont really have time these days to work on my vehicle. So I have a pretty good idea at all times what I need. I just no longer have the tools. Action Auto is the Spirit of customer service. I was turned down by several shops because I did not want to pay for something i did not need. I just needed someone that had the tools that could do it for me. A.A. made a few suggestions, however were happy to comply. I am, after purchasing their service thanks guys for staying true. We have been taking our vehicles there as a family for over 20 years. They are trustworthy, compassionate, and kind folks. They will give you an honest estimate, and do good work to get your car in good shape! In the rare case that they didnt quite get to the bottom of an issue, they did the rest of the work gratis due to them wanting my family to be safe and happy with my vehicle and their work. They even have loner vehicles for those long repair jobs! They are the best place to take your car in the Twin cities hands down!

Excellent local shop for getting work done on your vehicle. They have stand out customer service. I needed some substantial work and also wanted to get preventative maintenance done on a BMW and was looking to avoid the crazy cost of taking it to a dealer. I was thrilled to find that the person helping me and undertaking the work also drives a BMW so I was confident that the job would be done right. They were super straightforward with my options and never at any time were pushy with any of the maintenance options. They simply provided me with options, a quote and let me decide. During the time they were working on my vehicle I was provided with a loaner car and they called daily to update me. Action Auto is outstanding, dont hesitate to take your vehicle in.

I brought my car in for a brake job after a couple years of general negligence. I am just over 100k miles so it was no shock that they had many recommendations for additional repair other than brakes. They called before doing any work and explained in detail what was needed. I was able to decide what I wanted done and what I would like to postpone or do myself. When I advised what I would like them to skip doing, they didnt lecture me or question why I didnt want that particular service done. They were very patient.I felt that their prices were very fair. Much less expensive than chain shops. My total ended up being less than what was quoted as a particular job (replacing a seal) took less time than they had anticipated. Through personal experience, I know a lot of shops charge for the hours that is standard for a particular job regardless of the hours it ends up taking. I almost expect it at this point and was shocked that they were honest about the hours worked.I tend to avoid car repairs due to the fear of getting ripped off and generally dealing with poor business practices that are common with car repairs. I was so pleasantly surprised that this is not at all the case at Action Auto. I will absolutely be back and will likely take better care of my car because I feel comfortable with the staff and the business.

I’ve been bringing my personal and company vehicles here for at least 10 years. Service is always great and more than anything I trust them. I took a long time to find a mechanic I trusted. It’s also a plus knowing they’re a family owned company. You can tell they care about their customers.

The cost of parts and labor are extremely reasonable and make it easier on a 21 year-old, such as myself, making minimum wage. My 1997 Camry needed an oil change since the engine was clicking on start up. Came in after the change was done and they discovered a few minor issues and one major issue with my tie rod, which could have been fatal if it had busted on the highway. They asked if I wanted it repaired and I agreed. They got it done in the early afternoon, quicker than any dealership, and my Toyota drives as smooth as most newer cars I’ve driven. After the work was done, the minor repairs were printed out in order of most importance and explained clearly. Highly recommend these guys. They treat customers like family, do quality work, are well trained, educated and have affordable repairs that are worth every penny. John, Kurt and the rest of their crew are the best in the business.

The crew at Action Auto Systems are as dedicated to keeping my 17 y.o. Honda Civic going for as long as possible as I am. They recently went to a lot of effort to find new suspension noises that arose after I had new struts, etc. installed. I was beginning to think it was a lost cause, but these guys found the problem and fixed it for the cost of the parts because they thought they should have caught it the first time. Love these guys.

What a great shop! These guys are knowledgeable, thorough, not a bit pushy, and their prices are reasonably. They told me everything that was going on with my car (a 2003 Mazda with 150k miles, so it has some character) and prioritized the issues. When I told them that I just needed the most important thing repaired, there was no pressure at all to do additional work.This is really an excellent repair shop. I generally do my own auto repairs but if I run into something else thats over my head, Action Auto is where Ill turn.Also, I recommended them to my mom, so you know Im serious.

I have a beloved older pickup (1995 Ford F-150 4x4) and lots of techs do not enjoy working on them as they are rusty and dirty at this vintage. Mine is not as it hails from the west coast. Action Auto seems to understand my affection for this truck and how I depend on it for my work. They have done great quality work on it and they made a mistake once giving it back to me with the tachometer not working and a plastic headlight knob cracked and not functioning after I needed something in the dash looked at. When I alerted them about it they gave me a free loaner car, apologized, and fixed the issues without complaint nor excuses (even though I know plastic parts get brittle on these old dash parts). I was waiting to get a bill for this work as a test of their integrity. They passed. No charge and more apologies about the hassle and time inconvenience. This is the shop to go to! All the guys at Action Auto, Kurt, Clint, John, and the mechanics are honest and trustworthy. After hearing about them from my old boss and finding out that they did all the work on my school vans, I decided to give them a shot. Time and time again they have never let me down and have even exceeded my expectations. They truly stand behind the warranty on all their repairs (as I had something happen from a repair they did and they covered it). Last time I went, I ended up leaving a little unhappy because my car wasnt running much better than when I brought it to them. They ended up calling me back, saying they didnt feel right about what happened with my experience of paying almost $600 for a car that doesnt run much better, and said that if I brought my car back in they would take care of the rest and get it up and running for free! I have never had a shop do that before! Like I said this is the place to go. Its a family owned business too that has been around for many years. There is a reason they have so many positive reviews.

I am from Winnipeg, MB, Canada and got in a car accident on a Sunday when I am about to drive home from bike polo tournament in Minneapolis. My poor Toyota Tacoma was not derivable, one wheel was straight and the other at 45 degrees. I went to the shop Monday morning and they stayed late and got my vehicle fixed and safe to drive at 7:30 PM that day. Better then amazing! Jon worked personally with my Canadian insurance company, he kept me well informed the whole day. At last, a no nonsense, personable auto repair shop. I was tired of always feeling like a number to other auto service stores. Until a good friend told me he drives a long ways to have all his car needs taken care of at Action Auto, so I knew they were doing something right. (he usually is very picky and does his research) The friendly staff made me feel like my vehicle and time are very important to them right from the start. It has been many years now, and I would say it has been worth going the few extra miles for hassle free, fast and reliable service. Seems like a great auto shop. Family owned and very nice staff! I am usually skeptical of auto shops because of past experience, but I feel like this is a shop that I will stay with.I brought my vehicle here to get a tire patched, and they gave me a run down of the items they found that should be repaired. They didnt pressure me into making an appointment to fix these items, which was a refreshing change. I like to do as much work as possible on my vehicles, and I will probably fix the issues myself, but I will be bringing in my vehicles to tackle all of those issues that are out of my skill/tool set.Overall Thoughts: I would highly recommend this shop to people in the area!

Great service and a friendly atmosphere! Brought my car into Action Auto to get some new tires and to fix a leaky door. Unfortunately, the complimentary inspection found many more big issues wrong (some I already knew of). I received an email with pictures detailing every major issue which was extremely helpful as I was at work at the time. Talking with them over the phone helped me grasp the severity of the problems. I was glad to get everything taken care of in one swoop and my Grand Am is running better than ever. I will be back with any other issues that arise. I appreciate the professional work done here!

I always get quotes from numerous repair shops and not only do they have the best rates, their customer service is above and beyond, always. John (owners son) once found a recall on my car I didnt know existed. I went and got it fixed for free. He could have easily just did the repair and billed me. Highly highly recommend these guys.

Ive had new tires mounted, old tires rebalanced, a broken window replaced, sub frame brace installed. I like to DIY but there are lots of things outside my knowledge base and that is what I use these guys for. They take time to go into as much detail as I want and always give their direct, honest opinion about what tires are good, what things will help my car run better, and what I should look out for. They even helped me out in a jam when I needed a nut on my motorcycle. Each guy at the shop Ive dealt with has been great

Was having car problems and called many places to see if I could get my car in for service. None of them could help me. Called Action Auto and they said SURE BRING IT IN!!! They fit me into their schedule... found the problem and fixed my car. They are my life saver!!! I really appreciated that they were willing to help me out in my hour of need. I would recommend ACTION AUTO to everyone.

They dont honor their return policy . I needed to return something I purchased 8 days prior..I didnt use it..it was still taped up just as it was when given to me. They have a 15 day return policy . They simply refused. They could have even charged a %40 restocking fee..they refused.

So get this: my Chevy Equinox wont keeps turning off while I am stopped at stop signs. I call Action Auto and bring it in the next morning. They take a look at it and call me to say that there is no oil in it and it will require further investigation. They call me about an hour later saying I have a major engine issue and THEY called the dealer to check if the car was still under warranty and IT WAS! They recommended that I get it towed to the dealership. When talking to the dealership, I asked them how much the repair would be outside of warranty and they said $2700! Are you kidding me? Thank you Action Auto! Above and beyond customer expectations! Bring your car here for all issues/upkeep!

The guys here will tell you everything that’s wrong with your car and will give you an estimate. This place is a little more pricey than others but they do an amazing job.
