Have previously reviewed - this is an update. I have reported lights not working on the 2nd floor. As of 10/9/2021, lights are still not working. No Change. I have reported online directly to company, in person, via phone call and via this review process. Disappointing. Frustrating.Life Storage did put through a 20% increase in monthly rent effective 10/1/2021. This adds to the insult.

They use a call center; which isn’t an issue at all, but led to so many…I was promised a price for a unit because I was only using the unit for 10 days (between apartments). When I go into the office to confirm everything and get insurance for the unit I was charged more than double what I was told (by the call center). When I explained to the worker that it was wrong, she then called the supervisor. The supervisor told her to charge me for absolutely everything including a “management fee”. I was told my unit was going to be $66 ($82 after insurance fees) and I ended up paying $180. That being said this is the second time I’ve used their storage facility and the first time went smoothly and well. This most recent experience however has ruined the chances of me using their facilities again.Management/service: 1/5Cleanliness: 4/5

Over 6 weeks, I reported lights out on the 2nd floor to management on multiple occasions. Have had to use a flashlight when going to my storage unit. I did get a call back in response to an email. 2 weeks after the call, I get an email informing me of 20% increase in monthly rent.

Very friendly, ready to assist. The guy who attended us really took the time to explain everything with such great customer service. Even was willing to take us all the way to the storage to make sure we were happy with what we receive.

The entire staff was incredibly helpful! I only ended up keeping my stuff with them for half a month and the unit was still very much worth the cost. I will definitely store with them in the future.

This place closes at 6pm. Imagine coming home from work ready to grab your camping gear for an early morning trip the next day, only to find that you cant access the facility until 9am the next morning. Rinse and repeat.Its impossible to get into place if you work a day job.

Just rented our first unit from this location yesterday. Not only was it our first experience with Life Storage, but it was our first experience with any storage unit facility. I was very impressed with the entire process. The place is immaculate and the staff member, Sean, who helped us was extremely helpful and efficient. He went through everything very thoroughly and I got a call immediately following my reservation online to confirm my appointment. I am very glad we decided to go with Life Storage! I would highly recommend this company if you are looking to store any of your belongings you cant hold at your apartment or home.

I didnt catch the managers name but he was extremely friendly and didnt hesitate to answer any of my questions. The facility itself has excellent lighting, is very clean and I have no worries about my stored items. Would I prefer not to need extra storage? Absolutely. But after the necessary items, apartment life doesnt leave much room, so Life Storage it is!

I know the Guy Joseph is AWESOME hes very Helpful and He knows what he is doing... We Definitely need more like him... Thanks again for EVERYTHING

Staff pretty amazing! Love there humor, nicole unexpectedly jumped in and made us laugh, Joseph was awsome, he was very specific, informative and knowledgeable! I liked that he went out of his way to show us the unit before we comitted to it!

Joe was helpful on finding the Green Bay location. It took me forever to find it but he helped me find it.

Amazing, simply amazing customer service! Great prices with insurance. I honestly went to five different Self Storage. I did not feel safe would keeping my stuff about any of them and the customer service was horrendous at all of those other self storage by downtown. The 2 guys at life storage made it so easy.

Went and visited a few storage spots to check prices. Life Storage website emailed me a confirmation with a price quickly. On St Paul in downtown Milwaukee, Sean was very helpful with questions. Appreciate his smart, quick service.Got a good rate online and all additional fees were explained. Def would recommend.

Beautiful facility. Life Storage has very nice features like the drive-in garage, lots of storage units in so many different sizes, convenient hours and various ways to pay. The manager of this location, Joseph, is very helpful, knowledgeable, hospitable, and attentative to the needs of his customers! Joseph is a creative, solution-oriented manager! His demeanor and professionalism are greatly appreciated!!

Ms. Mary is awesome!!! She help me and my sister out so much! Thank you Ms. Mary! The place is clean and Ms. Mary makes the place even more bright with her sweet personality.

I stopped in this morning to utilize the Amazon storage portion in their retail/office side. It was seamless and the individual who was at the front desk was helpful and friendly. I am glad they offer this service from Amazon, as it helps me receive my packages safely during the holiday season (opportunistic porch thieves) and allows me to interact with a new business that I normally never would have.

Sean was very friendly and accommodating with requests that we had. In addition, the location and amenities of the storage facility are very nice. We use the facility to store some of our goods for a business and the easy access key pad and covered parking are great features!

The Amazon locker here has not been accessible the two times I have come during their business hours. Both times I have come they have a sign on the door stating “We Will Return [in 30-40 minutes]”. Move the locker to a more accessible space if you can’t honor the hours that you have agreed with amazon to allow locker access.

I came in just to look around and see what they had to offer and Sean was great. He hit every detail on the head. I barely had to ask any questions. Great facility and very clean.

Joseph took time to go through different storage options with me and was patient with any questions I had. He was very good at being available by phone. Building is in a good location. Safe and secured access. Clean facility. 👍🏽

Just got my first storage unit from DeVantte Adams and he was great. Everything was super simple and easy and quick. Super friendly and helped me out with everything. He went above and beyond. This man deserves a raise. When I got here they were on lunch break it said until 2:55, and they were back promptly at 2:55. Actually earlier. Great service! 10/10 recommend.

Every single time i have contacted this life storage, the customer service is impeccable. I have no complaints. The staff go above and beyond and really put my mind at ease that i’ve chosen an amazing place to store my possessions. Today i called and Sean answered. He was fantastic. He answered all my questions and even called another store to double check that what he was telling me was accurate. Great service, great people! 10/10 would recommend.Edit: I couldn’t remember the gentleman’s name that i’ve spoken to before but i believe it was Joseph and he is also amazing!

I went in after a bad experience with another storage place. I worked with Jasmine and she was amazing! She helped me find the perfect storage space, she answered all of my questions, offered advice and was enthusiastic the entire time. Very happy with my decision to rent a storage unit at Life Storage and even happier I got to meet Jasmine!

Lifes Storage is the most dependable and structured facility around the Milwaukee downtown area. Curteous and outgoing and always very professional yet personal to your everyday needs. I would highly recommend checking them out and recommend to my friends and family. Just awesome!!! 😊

The staff was really helpful with the set up and explanation of everything. I even took advantage of renting the van with in the first two weeks to transport some of the stuff from my place to the storage unit. That went smoothly as well. Five stars all around.

This is an excellent facility in the heart of Milwaukee with the best people at the front desk. My front desk agent Kenya helped me figuring out the right size I need and walking me through the rental split ups. They ensured everything to be a smooth transition for me and have been extremely patient and polite. This service itself is a great one for folks who are in transition to a different place and need to hold up the personal belongings for a while. Hopefully everything will be this good until I take out my things from here.

Jasmine was super nice and helpful, providing necessary information to make moving in and storage hassle-free. The facility is very clean, with ample elevator space and carts to make moving easier. The combination of price, location, and customer service make this a great storage facility, highly recommend!

Had to pickup an Amazon package at the pickup locker. After finally finding a parking spot, the door said Be back at 5:15pm. I arrived at 4:40pm and didnt have time to wait around for over 30 minutes.*Update - Went the following day and the sign said Be back at 11:45 when I arrived at 11:30. This time I had to wait for the attendant, otherwise my packages would be returned to Amazon.

Wonderful experience with the staff. They have a fantastic, positive, caring attitude, took the time to understand & answer my questions, and completed the application process, toured the facility, & visited my new unit in 30 minutes.Wow, this facility is very clean and felt very safe. I am moving from another facility that is in disrepair, has an office management staff that is never available, and that has increased the rent yearly from 7-15%, where the rent is cheaper for a new customer, vs. a dependable customer who pays the rent on time and has kept their account there for over 6 years.As long as this facility doesnt raise the rent like the last facility I was at, things they will continue to have a faithful customer for years to come.

The service is 👍 Ms.Tameka B. Did a great job of getting me settled in. The facility is clean and easy to maneuver. I happy that she was so informative,and the online access is a plus.I stored for 1 yr. All items came home in good condition. No water damage, weird smells, pests etc. Ms.Tameka is still here, and just as helpful, and friendly as ever! ( Every store front needs one of her!)As a whole the experience was very pleasant.

LifeStorage was a great option when I needed some place quick to store my stuff when I had a lapse in leasing apartments. They had a first month promotion, and they have a very relaxed cancellation policy so I could cancel after only having it that first month! This was great as that’s the only time frame I needed. Everyone there was super helpful and friendly, and it was a very secure facility. However, the reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because when I picked up all my stuff, there were mouse droppings in a lot of my bins/boxes and evidence of rodents chewing on my cardboard boxes that weren’t previously there as they were brand new boxes upon moving into the unit. Thankfully I didn’t find any live rodents! Even considering the one negative, I would definitely rent from them again.

Marcie and Joe were really helpful in accommodating us for our move. They took their time to explain everything and to help get us situated.

They have indoor parking to load and upload, flatbed carts to assist with loading and the aisles are wide enough to maneuver around. Also, the staff is friendly and helpful.

I was looking for a rental space for my daughter (college) over the summer. Kenya at the front desk was fantastic. Very professional and great service. The facility is very clean and easy to access. Would highly recommend.

Tameka at life storage was very helpful!!! The way she explained things as to storage and moving from one storage to another was great. The only downside to the company is billing and late fees especially when some have to pay for travel expenses and home expenses. The way she explained help me realize it’s not the customer service they provide downtown Milwaukee. It’s just the policy and procedures the wonderful ppl at the Life storage downtown Milwaukee follow.

This is the best storage facility in Milwaukee, period.Excellent customer service, beautiful air conditioned facility with huge moving tuck bays and lots of carts. The elevators fit whatever you need (couches, beds, etc.) and the variety of storage unit sizes is unending. they have whatever you need there. good security systems with multiple doors between the entrance and your items, as well as security cameras and motion detectors all over. The keyed cylinder locks are ultra secure, and you can put two padlocks on your door as well if you desire.Cant recommend highly enough!

My sister has a storge at this facility and i loved it as soon as i walked in. Its very clean, i been to a few storage places before and never seen one as clean and secure as this one. You can tell that the staff is doing there job here. 5 stars from me for sure!!

I couldnt be happier with my selection of a storage unit. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful, and make going to storage a real breeze! The facility is also very secure, clean, and climate controlled! Everything you could ask for in a storage facility and would absolutely recommend!

10 stars! No, seriously. I am deeply satisfied with the warm & friendly service I received today. Plus the weather was crappy which balanced out the trip on foot to get down there. The setup to access the building is foolproof, unless your an imbecile. As of January 16, I do not know how long Life Storage will be running their promotion. ( 2nd MONTH IS» FREE««) Which I am very grateful & appreciative to have received! Thank You, Life Storage!!

They put their Amazon Locker in their office, so its only available during office hours. Even 24-hour gas stations are smart enough to put them in public. A mistake that obvious causes me to lose faith in whole company.

Kathy one of the supervisors speaks to people in a condescending tone. Not that bright at all. Unaware of laws shes consider herself to know. Refuses to play back the calls on a recorded line when the staff lies to you. They try to drown out all the bad reviews with five star ratings by asking people for a review. Doesnt tell you about expensive insurance until you sign the contract. Which also doesnt have a clause of protecting all your items from water leaks creating mold in the unit. Oh if they attempt to use those laws to open the gate, file a chapter 128 .... Automatic stay they have no choice... Wink

The manager Tameka was a big help and very professional. Helped me switch spots when I realized I had reserved too small a spot. Quick and helpful. I aim to not have storage, but this is a great place if you need it.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The facility is clean and secure. We received our second month free and had the use of their moving truck for one day... for FREE (which we ended up keeping over night for a very minimal charge).

I visited LifeStorage 881 on St. Paul to review different size spaces. The total experience was very pleasant and everyone was so helpful. The facility is very clean, well lit and the spaces all well kept. I plan on renting a space in the near future

This place is run by professionals!y reservation was taken care of by Gus, the manager on duty. We had a mistake on our end in the reservation by putting an incorrect phone number in so they couldn’t reach us to book our rental arrival day. Just about to close, Gus went the extra mile to stay open and get us our unit. Wonderful!
