Super fantastic neighborhood shop! Highly underrated wine selection, I would say one of THE best in Milwaukee. Great customer service and old school feel. Love the decorations around the holidays!!

Cant stand it anymore. Ive been coming here for years. I was a regular customer. Never a smile. Never a hello. Never a thank you. Literally the least friendly liquor store Ive ever been. They stare you down and treat you like you killed their dog.

Great little local place for me to come. And i absolutely love the graffiti-style murals that are along the side of the building outside. They have super bright-colored paintings lining the brick exterior of the store, which are displaying advertisements of various brands/companies of liquor, and/or mainly beer that Avenue Wine & Liquor sells inside.

Staff seems to be irritated easily and unfriendly if you have any questions. Im going to start shopping at another store even though this is nearby because this one girl with brunette hair that checks people out doesnt have what it takes for a good customer service very unfriendly!!!! They must not need the business as far as Im concerned. I train people for a living to deal with customer service and this place would never pass the helpful friendliness aspect of what customers deserve.

Milwaukee is serious about there beer, and folks are super friends. Seems like a nice selection of Whiskey, and also found a couple nice Sweet Vermouth options. It was my first time here - unfortunately, NOBODY including the staff were masked. Thats just not ok for me - I know we all want this to be over with, but running around everywhere not wearing masks will only prolong it. Doesnt take a rocket-scientist. Ill shop elsewhere for now, sadly: was hoping that this would be my regular spot in my new neighborhood. Sigh.

Owner Mike didnt miss a step when he took over the Business from Dennis. Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and know most of their customers by first name. Thats why I have been going there for the last 30 years.

I have liquor stores closer to home but I shop here regularly. Its clean, friendly and the beer selection is very good. They almost always have my favorite, but if they are out I know I can find a beer Ill like. Im picky with the ice I buy and the ice sold here is great. Nice small cubes and it doesnt melt in two minutes.

I am 49 yrs old and have been going there since I was 21. When it was run by the previous owner ( Dennis and Kathy) they always mede me feel welcome. The new owner,not so much. The employees, Ryan in particular is a great guy, always says hi and chats me up. That is the only reason I used to go there, but with a poor management style, I will spend my money elsewhere. I suggest you do the same.

My uncle says the liquor they sell here is unfortunately over-priced. But as for myself, Ive just stopped in here a few times, and it was only to pick up a simple novelty item or two.... And those were priced lower than I have paid when I purchased the exact same item at one of the other stores or gas stations which are located nearby Avenue Wine & Liquor Inc. So I cant speak on the selection or the prices of their booze products, but the so-called novelty products that Ive bought from Avenue Wine & Liquor did surprise me with their competitive prices!

They dont judge my alcohol purchases by frequency or volume, very nice of them seeing as its still a pandemic and day drinking is more socially acceptable than ever.

Great people here, and for Bar Owners they have a wholesale Beer License (not Liquor though, that you need Ratis or Badger). So if you need you can legally stock your bar if you run out between normal orders.

I can definitely see what Jay is speaking of. Not a welcoming environment unless you fall under the category of white and trashy. While walking in, the employee walked by and bumped shoulders, without any apology. When asked if they have a product in stock, they practically refused to speak. When paying, the guy at the cash register took his time turning around. After a minute of waiting, I finally had to ask if he was going to work or not. OK prices, Poor service. Its convenient, but I wont be back. Businesses like this one is a reason why I fear for my fiancee to go out to.
