Authentic Russian / Eastern European grocery store. The owners are always nice and try to be helpful. Even when I dont know or speak the language. But when I try to describe what I am looking for, they seem to remember from when we last purchase.

What a lovely visit we had at Spartak today, and what delicious treats we brought home! The owners both, husband and wife, were beyond helpful as we searched for ingredients for a recipe, and gave valuable information for making a Russian specialty. They seemed to enjoy sharing their past and expressed interest in our own ethnic backgrounds. We left with a grocery bag full of good things. More importantly, though, we left feeling nicely connected with people whose path to this place was so different from our own.
