I love the that it was by the river and bridge overlooking the Milwaukee River. The Museum campus was beautiful.I love the Chronological order of all the Bikes displayed and Evel Knievel was excellent. His Bike in the Air!I spent all day there. The restaurant and gift shop were nice as well. All the employees are warm, friendly and happy. They were very helpful. It was a great day at Harley Davidson!
Was not expecting to enjoy this as much as I did! So much history with Harley Davidson that’s well laid out and informative (we spent 3 hours exploring all the floors and doing all the interactions / videos). Cool interactive stations that pull together the various sections of museum. Def recommend (for those who like audio tours - $5 each and worth it).We pre-purchased tickets online (no day or time specified) and picked up at well call (also just the registers). No wait but it was a Tuesday (non-holiday)
What a wonderful experience at the Harley Davidson Museum. There’s so much history to explore including the first ever made Harley Davidson motorcycle. They have Elvis Presley’s bike, and a replica of evil Knievel’s bike! I definitely recommend having a tour guide. It was wonderful to see the story of the brand throughout the beginning since 1903. Take your time and read all the information… lots to take in! The food at the restaurant was delicious and the service was incredibly warm and friendly. Take a stop at the shop too! Lots to choose from there !
This is Milwaukee must see. The museum is laid out well and has all sorts of random trivia. I recommend paying the extra for the audio tour. They have it set up so you can go in any order you want. There are a few hands on, a fair number of videos; and of course, a ton of bikes and information. The restaurant is on par with most of the area hot spots and the gift shop has everything you could want and then some.
Fun experience. Self guided tour. It was a little more pricey than I thought it would be, since from the website I got the drift that the tour was free and only the experiences or classes were a cost, but it was fun. Informational, neat to see all the bikes. I enjoyed seeing the donated bikes or ones used in movies. Some parts of the floors were blocked off like the archives or other areas which would’ve actually been neat to see. Takes about an hour to look at everything if not longer. Overall a neat experience. Worth it if you really like Harley. Stopped at the gift shop afterward and got some really neat things. There’s also a River right next to it and can go on the River walk. Nice campus. We saw a spot where you can test drive a Harley too.
The Harley Davidson Museum is a beautiful museum show me the history and engineering of Harley Davidson motorcycles. The audio tour gives a plethora of information of the history of not only Harley Davidson but its role in the war and in transportation throughout the generations. Though the museum is only two floors it is filled with hundreds of motorcycles from all ages. If it was a very interesting tour though the price of entry seems a little high
Lots of well preserved items to look at. Spent around 2hs there good easily spent 4 or more if I wanted to check everything out. Im not a big Harley fan but I still enjoyed this museum. Picked a week day around 11am and not many people going through. I would say this is a must checkout spot if you are visiting Milwaukee. The prices are reasonable at $22.00 per adult per day and all staff encountered were friendly and attentive.
Very sleek and informative museum about Harley-Davidsons history. I am not a big motorcycle fan, but I was able to take in the culture and past of the company. Also, there was a lot of interactive aspects, which I very much enjoyed.
After several years of trying to get here, we finally did. Many cool things, but I guess I imagined it being bigger! Everyone was super nice. Glad we finally made it there!!
Super fun for everyone! Really cool displays of the Motorcycles and the parts. Really cool shop & restaurant! Overall really cool museum! Definitely worth it.
Great experience. The audio tour is definitely the way to go. Very good information that you may miss by getting sick of reading.
Fun place to visit in the city. It was suggested by lots of people to visit. Im not a rider but it was still interesting to learn the history of the company and how its developed. If you are an HD fan I could see it being incredible to visit.
Excellent museum. Lots of great bikes to see from police bikes to Captain America theres something for everyone. Pro Tip. If going with large group might be worth it to get family pass and the buy extra tickets at half off. Group if six saved $2 each.
Harley Davidson Museum is a great place to learn about the history of the iconic Bike brand. Provides great insight into the invention of Harley bikes. Plenty of historical bikes to look at and learn the stories about. Even if you arent a motorcycle fan, the museum is very interesting, colorful and fun, for all ages. While at this museum, I highly recommend eating a meal at the connected restaurant: Fuel. It has great food and an amazing patio.
Awesome history story! Told in a very easy relaxed environment. The flow if the museum did all the work for you. From the start to the end, we were engrossed in the facts of the history of, the ups and downs of the HD company. We were part of the victorys and the hardship that they went through.
When we visited the Harley Davidson Museum, I had no idea what I was in for. I was specifically shocked to see just how massive the place is, how much history is stored there, the valuable information that was available, and the breathtaking amount of machines that are on display. While people like to visit big cities and tourist traps, this is a museum that any self-respecting hog enthusiast should definitely see, at least once in their lives. The content is so impressive that men, women, and children, can all enjoy it! What doesnt enthrall you by the history of Harley Davidson will surely amaze you by the culture that has become Harley, or impress you with the development of the brand or the latest technology. This is a venue that you would never forgive yourself for not visiting! Thanks for a great experience, Harley Davidson....!!!!
A bike from every year and lots of awesome nostalgic photos...really cool experience!
This is work. I enjoy meeting all the different people from all the different places. And learning about the history of the company.
History on display. Very nice, well organized museum with a very friendly staff. Not mentioned on the website is that there IS a military rate, a 6$ savings.
Amazing place to explore the history of the iconic bike Harley Davidson! If you are a HOG member, enjoy the perks
The Harley-Davidson Museum is a must not only for lovers of Hogs, but for lovers of history. The timeline and impact of Harley-Davidson was remarkable. A must for visitors to Milwaukee.
Lots and lots of classic Harley’s. Love to see all of at one place.
Excellent Museum. It was impressive. The Motor Bar & Restaurants burgers were delicious.
Free parking and clean restrooms. The grounds are beautiful to walk around. If you have your bike license you can test drive the new models. The gift shop was the main reason we came.
Very fun to see the history of Harley-Davidson! Great story to see the history of an American icon. So much of the classics have been preserved!
5 stars arent enough definitely deserves more. Trip of a life time if youre a Harley enthusiast.
The only benefit you get from getting there on a motorcycle (thats not a Harley) is dirty looks for taking their spots and messing up the instagram photoshoots.
Hubby had to visit this museum, so we made a trip in this direction. The staff was very cautious with masking and social distancing. The museum was interesting and laid out well. From the early days of the bikes, to movies and music videos, dirt bikes, different engines, it covers everything!
Great museum. Tons of stuff and very rare stuff items.
The motorcycle collection was spectacular... Unfortunately the interactive displays were not functioning correctly
Absolutely Amazing Musuem..I highly recommend it plenty of History how it all began from the logo, the shed, soaring of the Eagle, ETC they even had Motorcycles from the Movies like the Terminator, Captian America, Elvis Presleys motorcycle and many more..but I dont recommend for young Children I say 8 and above I say 2 days to see the entire Musuem one day to see and another to read..🤓 5 Stars ⭐
A little pricey when going with more than two people, but great museum! A recommend when coming to Milwaukee
During my first visit to Milwaukee, I was walking down the street and started noticing a lot of motorcycles, so I started wondering the reason, when suddenly, I noticed the Harley Davidson museum. I couldnt go inside due to the constrains with time but the museum looks very cool from outside 👍
Where do I start? This museum is AMAZING. What an incredible way to tell the story of such an iconic brand. We spent about 4 hours and could have been there for a few more. HD has kept 1nof each of every model they have manufactured and you can see the evolution from their first bike built in the shack behind their home to the latest model in their fleet. Stories from how they participated in the war, when the company almost went out of business and their remarkable come back. They have custom bikes as well as replicas of a few bikes that have made movie Magic. You can climb on some selected bikes for a photo opt, virtually build your own DREAM HD, here stories about people and their bikes, visit the restaurant or they great gift shop. MUST SEEPs:do not feed the conservator
Highly recommended if you’re in Milwaukee. A nice tour though the history of the HD brand. Especially interesting is the HD in movies part where you can acknowledge some of the most iconic movie scenes featuring HD motorcycles. The museum is smaller than you may imagine it from the website. You can have a full tour in under 45 mins without missing anything interesting there.
This museum is a very cool place. Lots of information to be read. And of course there’s all kinds of bikes here. You can even sit on some of the newer ones and take pictures with them.
Spent about 2 hours and could have stayed longer. Fun and informative.
Amazing history of an American icon! Food in the restaurant was good too
Get yourself some motorbike history such a nice place to learn about Harleys history.
Loved every minute of our trip to the museum grounds.
A very nicely done museum. Highly suggest the audio tour. It gives a lot of history and background. The museum had a nice layout and easy to follow.
Amazing history of the brand. Very clean, and exhibits were incredible.
This is a must see in person!! Make sure you have a day there because they have so many motorcycles and accessories to see!! Staff was very pleasant and helpful!!
A must go. For motorbike folks its what going to other museums is like, but for us. Its really interesting seeing all the history and progression through the years. Theres even a hall of shame for the AMF years. They dont call it that though. Go. Youll learn something interesting. Look for the Boozefighters installation. Pretty cool bit of history. Harleys, young men and beer.
👍👍 great museum 👏 👌 food was awesome try the spotted cow beer in the restaurant 🍺🍺
I had a blast. It was a great time.
What an outstanding place! Tickets are good for a couple days for a reason, it takes a couple days to really go through it.
Would go back 10/10. Saw everything in nearly two hours plus. Took our time to learn about the history, play with some engine toys they had, and got to take some pics on a motorcycle.
Great atmosphere with bike night on Thursday nights with live music.
Great place to know the history of the brand. If you are not a fan of bikes you might not enjoy the visit.
It was a lot of good historical information and a nice visit.
Nice experience. You love harley davison is the place. The food is good.
This was my favorite Bike there... literally love it. The entire holiday weekend was epic!!!
Milwaukee Rally 2021 - what a great venue.
I am a motorcycle girl but the very first time understood why Harley Davidon has a fan following after visiting this museum. The brand has a history, their contributions to the economy and the society, the vision. Everything about this museum is beyond imagination. Its like a dream come true. Definitely visiting again, but this time in the summer when we can ride the bikes
LoveD iT truLY
Outstanding experience! Highly recommend doing the audio tour!
Being a loyal Harley Davidson fanatic.. The museum was a real nice treat.Thank you HD for for assembling this fine display of Harley Davidson history .I will most definitely revisit again
Awesome Experience, the Museum was amazing and the staff was very knowledgeable and professional.
The Harley-Davidson Museum is absolutely great and well worth the admission price even for those who arent really into motorcycles. There is so much to see that I cant sum it up properly in a brief review. The exhibits cover over 100 years of the company history and weave the Harley story into what was going on in American culture decade by decade.Harley-Davidson was founded in 1903 and the early years are particularly fascinating along with the steps the company took to get through the Great Depression (only two American motorcycle companies survived). The visionaries who founded Harley-Davidson had the foresight to store one of EVERY model they built starting in 1915, and they actually purchased 1903-1914 models back from dealers to ensure that they had a complete collection. How cool is that? Just go, but bear in mind you may spend more time there than you anticipated since the displays are so incredible.
Great museum! Recommend the audio headset as it brings a good story to the displays and you learn things you might miss otherwise.
Tons of fun to be had here. Lots to see and everyones got a smile on. Gotta check it out if youre in the area!
Ive always loved Harleys since I was a kid. My husband planned this trip here and not one part let me down. Learning all the history was amazing
I am not a Harley rider but even I think the museum is a cool place. Lots of bikes on display and so many cool other artifacts that are HD related. If you like motorcycles of any type pay this place a visit. We were there during the hometown rally and it was cool to see all the bikes that were just parked there too.
I wish I could appreciate motorcycles more to appreciate this EXCELLENTLY WELL curated exhibition, truly comprehensive and interesting in the historical and factual bits of Americana. A must see!
This place is a must see. Ate at the Motor Bar & Restaurant…..AWESOME!!
This is a great place very well organized showing the history of Harley Davidson. Must visit for HD fans.
An audio tour was available for an extra price. It was a good experience. The different bikes were interesting to learn about. If youre not an enthusiast, I wouldnt suggest going. I was interested in seeing Elviss bike but couldnt find it. There was a place where you could sit on several different bikes, that was fun. Over all, not bad. They do have a gift shop and a restaurant next door. Both a bit pricey but very friendly. I wouldnt visit again but it was an interesting first visit.
Well! This museum holds a wealth of information about early America and motorcycle transportation!I have never seen so many Harleys in one location ... of course, when we have visited Sturgis, it was not during the rally 🤣🤣Great value for money; we wimped out after a few hours; there was much more to see and enjoy.Restaurant/Bar had good selection of food and beverages, served by pleasant staff.Highly recommend.
Second trip. Great merch. You should go!
I feel very lucky that I managed to come here from Greece! Incredible place-factory-museum!! You immediately feel awe that you are in the place where the first harley was built!! The space is incredibly large, as well as countless many models that you can see here!! The production line is very impressive, in which you can watch a harley being born from the beginning!! Really, you do not know which model to admire first! I suggest you, if you ever find yourself, close to this area, to visit it!!
Great place to visit, so much history and wicked bikes. The staff was over the top friendly and knowledgeable.
It was a great place to visit.
Had an amazing time at the museum. Then had a great meal at the restaurant.
The museum does have a large collection, and the engine explanation towards the beginning is really well done. However, I found the middle bit / evolution of bikes part to be lacking in context and more just here are some unique designs Overall I would recommend folks go, even if they are not major enthusiast as it cool to see how motorcycles have evolved over time.
Wonderful place, friendly people, awesome experience for sure
Amazing experience here with a private party and visiting with the awesome.folks at Harley-Davidson. Great food too!
Just opened back up and its worth every bit to go out of your way to visit.
Full of history, cool place. Make sure to add the audio tour, its worth it.
Great place with some awesome history. Been there a few times and the rally was alot of fun with excellent food. Keep it up! 💪I wish there were new bikes there just to show off instead of going to dealer.
Fascinating collection of motorcycles at this museum, tracing the history of this 100+ year old company that is an anchor of the Milwaukee community. Depending on your interest, you can spend a short time or all day in the museum. The restaurant has a lot of great food. Those interested in how people trick out their bikes should come to the Thursday night events.
I have a love for anything museums and this ranked up very very high on the list . This fantastic museum has Harleys from all possible eras we go from funky, creative, work horse, stylish, ancient looking, bejewelled and much much more ..Each bike told a story and wonderful ones at that . We got lucky and visited on a day that was free, but even without a free day its worth the buck . This is authentic Milwaukee ..cant get better .A city Ive begun to love even with the cold winters ☺️ Happy viewing
Loved this so much!!! I am still in shock over how many bikes! They have one from every year and the oldest in existence! Very cool! Plan on at least 2 hours to enjoy everything! 😃
Very first time I ever visited a Harley Davidson Museum. I was astonished with the wide variety of Harleys from the very 1st to the recent Harley was a really great time.
Amazing that they have so much history to display. Good foresight to keep back bikes from every production year. I enjoyed seeing the bicycles.
Very well maintained, super nice staff got me a discount too!! Beautiful history, and always nice to see some cool bikes! You can even sit on some of the new Harley models, very cool.
The museum tells a very interesting story of the American motorcycle. Easy to enjoy even if you aren’t a motorcyclist. Exciting interactive section for kids too.
This was a very cool visit. Everybody was polite, informative, and very helpful. I felt it was a genuine history museum and not a display for advertising. It showed the complete history displaying many many models from the early 1900s. My favorite displays where the ones that showed how the creation of Harley-Davidson has a history, long history of bringing people together that normally would have never met.
It was a nice afternoon at the museum. There was a lot to learn and so many interesting things to look at. Also, The museum was so clean.
It was exciting to learn about the history of Harley. They have a lot of cool exhibits of bikes and other relics from the companies past. They also have many photos and original documents and logs if youre in to that kind of thing. Only three of the most valuable bikes are placed behind glass. Other than that, most of the bikes are only behind a rope, so you can really get close to see them. The tour guides are nice and knowledgeable about the history of the company. Overall a very informative experience.
