Spacious coffee shop with many outdoor seatings so definitely a good place to stop by take a breath and enjoy the coffee and snacks. Plus Covid friendly! The Milwaukee local coffee shop never let down in offering good coffee. This time we had their blueberry lemon scone which I enjoyed a lot. (scones tend to lean to the drier end so have some coffee with it is a good go to) Also their breakfast burrito is a nice option when you want something more filling!
Nice, cozy place with a simple but warm interior and beautiful terrace outside. Very nice service and excellent coffee!
Colectivo is wonderful... I just wish they would have stirred my iced maple oat drink so i didnt have to mess with it before I got in my car. Pouring does not equal mixing especially if the ice is in the way. Also, let me know when Frappes include espresso again. Cold brew is not that.
Very pleasant experience our server was great. Even helped us on some out of town questions. Directions to the Riverwalk tattoo shops and local things to do. Thank you so much. Didnt catch her name but she was awesome. Oh the coffee was great too..😊
We read pretty good reviews for this place and wanted to stop by to grab something for our drive home. The prices are a bit expensive for what they have and the size. I got the Matcha Latte and it wasnt worth the price and it wasnt spectacular nor memorable. I think you can go to similar coffee shops and get the same items for less. I think the service was good, but very short and not attentive. There was limited parking due to area, but we found a spot. Theres a decent amount of tables and chairs on the inside for people to sit at. The shop itself was unique. Theres a lot of stuff for sale on their shelves, which is cool to see.As far as atmosphere, its a pretty cool place, but as far as coffee and drinks, its okay. I think it was a nice place to visit, but its quite expensive and not super spectacular.
Such a fun place to grab a drink and snacks. Friendly staff and grwat outdoor seating area.
Just started returning to this location after being away for awhile. Dont know what happened in the interim but the service and atmosphere definitely took a dive.Food and coffees are still high quality, thus the 3 stars, but because of the depressing staff and long wait times, even for simple orders, I held back two stars. Also, with the warmer weather, it would be nice to sit on the patio, but its obvious no one has been out there to sweep, clean, remove very old cobwebs, or empty the overflowing trashcan!
I visited this location before they expanded to Chicago. The morning I went, the place was unkept, the staff completely disengaged, seemed like they had better things to do. Customer experience: 0Ive had similar experiences at other locations (Andersonville and Logan Square, Chicago). No thanks.
Great coffee. Lovely area to sit outside and enjoy.
Pictured is the Baja Breakfast bowl. It has spicy rice, black beans, eggs, avocado and radishes. It’s gluten and dairy free and was pretty good. I ordered a vanilla cappuccino and it tasted like an unflavored latte, in other words not what I wanted. The atmosphere of the place is rustic hipster and it’s a very unique place to visit. Even at 9:00 the place was still full. It’s not the cleanest or fastest of coffee shops but if you have a work place near by it’s not a bad place to go to. They also offer ceramic mugs if you are staying for a while instead of the paper cups.
I always receive such friendly and great service here! Especially however; today I went in to get coffee with my girlfriend before work. They’re always patient when we any to try new things and today they hand made a drink for me when they were out. I can easily say I’ve “never had an oat milk draft like this in my life” it was amazing!
The cashier was so nice and friendly. Loved it here!
Their specialty coffees burst with unique flavors. Definitely worth stopping here
So happy to have this location just a block south of Water St Bridge. Easy walk from Historic Third Ward and northern Walkers Pt. Good lattes and egg-cellent breakfast sandwiches on huge English muffins. A variety of bakery items as well. Outdoor seating for COVID safety.
Great coffee, And breakfast foods! Employees are also extremely nice!
Always a good place to get coffee and breakfast or a treat. A bit busy on the weekends, so order ahead on the app if you dont want to wait in line. Some outdoor seating if you get lucky too!
I had a vet appointment this morning with MKE Vet Clinic which is right by this colectivo. During my app, I went to get coffee and sandwiches. My pet unexpectedly died during my vet visit, I went to go ask an employee about my food since I had just got the call and the kindness that I received was amazing and so wholesome. Two employees refunded my order, gave me a free sweet treat, and also talked to me and made me feel like they truly cared. Thank you so much for the kind words and loving gestures, you have no idea how much I appreciate it. The employees that work here go ABOVE & BEYOND for their customers and are truly good human beings. ❤️
Sysco chips really? Disappointed after all these years!
Artsy coffee shop with good muffin, scones, and cookies. Decent number of outside tables.
Collectivo stores are always excellent.
Nice ambience, but a little pricey.
Fast service even for walk ups, but theyve got a great app if you want to skip the line! Chai + pumpkin cran muffin is the best combo
As a dog walker this curbside pick up thing has been very convenient for my morning coffee runs. Unfortunately the smoothie I had been looking for was no longer on the app, so when I called to place an order I had been originally told that not only the drinking been discontinued, but they were also not taking phone orders. As I expressed a little sadness Erica said she would try her best to accommodate. She not only was able to make the smoothie, but also take my order over the phone. When I arrived she was incredibly sweet, and in a great mood - even for having been inconvenienced (by me) first thing in the morning. Great customer service, great smoothies, and I always leave with a smile on my face! Thank you Erica!👏🏼💓
My first visit and now my favorite coffee shop in the Third Ward!! Im excited to go there post-mask and hangout this summer.
The people who work here are so friendly. They treat you like family. The coffee is great. They will make it exactly to your liking, then remember you next visit.
I may be biased, as I grew up going to Colectivo, but I really love this location! I went here during quarantine, so of course service was limited, but the atmosphere is so lovely and quaint here. Obviously the coffee is good and the bakery items are even better, especially the lavendar lemon scones and cinnamon rolls, and also the cranberry bars!! Yum, cant wait until quarantine is over and I can hopefully return and see how this location used to look!!
Tasty coffee and delicious desert.. Beautiful and clean place👌☕
Baristas are always very quick.
Good coffee. The staff is perfect at pandemic precautions. Well done indeed!
Loved that bagels and green smoothie. Drinks and food are decently priced, good quality, and atmosphere is great. Very peaceful even in rush hour. Friendly staff. We stopped here on a road trip in early morning and it was so worth it!
Great coffee like always
A part of an old Milwaukee foundry, converted into a coffee house chain cast in Milwaukee. Close proximity to Walkers Point bars and restaurants make Colectivo Foundry an ideal pre- or post- evening ritual. Pro Tip: Start next door at Stackd for a grass fed beef, or bison burger, some local beer and stop here to for some coffee before hitting the town.
Colectivo is cool and that’s it’s thing. Coffee was pretty good and got me buzzing for the day. If you download their app you get a free $4.17 in credit, which means a free coffee. Sweet deal! Also free stickers inside. Hip and trendy.
Quality of food was great, the store was clean; however, one of the employees was quite rude. I had already received my food, then when my drinks were ready, they called my name. I couldn’t see the drinks so out oh habit I asked politely what, thinking maybe they needed to ask something about my order. Then this employee said, very rudely, your drinks are ready what else would be ready your Big Mac then rolled his eyes and scuffed. I didn’t get a chance to see his name and didn’t say anything but I would appreciate going to a restaurant or cafe and the employees not having attitudes.
I wanted something quick. it took way to long to get just an iced coffee. Aren’t coffee shops supposed to have simple syrup? Is that to much to ask? Don’t go here if your in a hurry. They wanted me to wait a few extra minutes for them to make some simple syrup. I didn’t have time for that or to ask for a return which i should have!
This place is convenient for me to visit in between appoint when I’m downtown. I really have two things I Order: lattes and espresso shakes. They have strong WiFi here to get work done and there is always open seating, it’s never too crowded. Fast service, friendly staff. I’d recommend this to young professionals working downtown or near the third ward/walkers point.
I’m not sure how this keeps happening, but every time I ask for a blueberry muffin (in shop or through the app) I get a pumpkin/cranberry muffin instead. And it’s not just a “once or twice” thing, it’s been 5 times now at the Foundry location *alone*. Really nice people, just super annoying that I’ve spent $15 now on muffins I can’t eat...
I hope this place survives Corvid-19 because it is truly wonderful. It really helps make this part of town worth being in. Best of luck.
Cant go wrong here. Fantastic coffee, and their other beverages are on point. Staff have been wonderful at every location weve visited! We always keep bags of their beans stocked at home and I am fond of their black and tan roast.
Im a big fan of Blue Heeler, but find it strange that you can buy it cheaper at other places they sell it even all the way to Burlington, then at the foundry??? That says a lot... cinnamon rolls are awesome!!!
Breakfast was perfectly delicious. We had the south Western burrito and smoked salmon sandwich. Vibe, coffee and green tea on point. Hanging plants and wooden furniture gives the place a warmth. Service was lovely too! We bought 5 bags or coffee and the sport tea to go. We arent from Milwaukee.
Super expensive for absolutely no reason
Decent local roaster. I like that they give you a full 16oz bag of coffee which for the price is an excellent value. The cafe itself is pleasant spacious and well maintained. Our drinks were well prepared, but not great. Food was ok.
Fast and friendly. Always amazed when they remember my name.
Better than Starbucks? YES... The quality of the space, food, beer, and coffee will make this place your new favorite place. The atmosphere is very positive. Great place to visit in the summer during a bike ride.
No idea if I just got a terrible drink or something was broken but I ordered the Mexican mocha and was so excited for it. Man, that thing tasted like dirty water and peppers.I love me some spicy Mexican hot chocolate, but man they messed that drink up.To top it off they didnt heat up my girlfriends pastry. The people were nice. Stick to a normal coffee or go find a local shop for something different.
Ive always enjoyed this location and its hot chocolate, but today Ive had one of the worst experiences there. I ordered my usual hot chocolate, paid, and started to leave. After getting out the door, I tasted my drink and realized it did not taste the same. It tasted like an apple pie that had too much cinnamon added to it and an after taste of nasty herbs. I went back in and told the staff that this what not what I ordered and the lady who was making the drinks told me they had run out of their usual chocolate and they had used dark chocolate. I can safely say that it was not dark chocolate. I was not informed that they had run our of their usual hot chocolate mix and was never offered a refund, only something else that was less then the price of the hot chocolate. If a refund had been offered or something of equal value, I dont think I would have had such a bad experience as I did.
Pretty good selection of cold and hot drinks although a bit on the expensive side.Good place for friendly hangout.
Awesome drinks and breakfast. Mint matcha hit the spot. Extremely friendly staff and great atmosphere.
This is my favorite coffee shop in the country! I travel for business out of Portland OR and try to get here every morning. The oatmeal is a bonus to the amazing coffee. I always bring 2-3 bags of beans home.
Great iced honey latte, very good meal. Free WiFi. Decent vibe inside and a very picturesque and nicely laid out outdoor seating area under trees. There are free parking spots in the smallish lot next to the café, which is a huge plus being right in downtown. Just make sure you park in the right spots. This Colectivo is close to the Milwaukee river and lots of fun places to walk to and shop at.
Hot mocha Messicana
My favorite coffee in the city of Milwaukee at one of my favorite locations to grab it. Great on your way in or out of downtown. Friendly staff and a great place to get work done or just relax with friends.
They still have great choices, even when they run out of your fav!
What great designs this company brings to both old and brand new buildings in the Metro area! Every one different....but all featuring great, strong coffee and some of the best bakery in town.
Coffee was good in the staff was very nice.
Had a great cup o chai tea and good sandwich. Nice seating outside - if you don,t mind the sounds of traffic.
The falafel burger is delicious when it isnt sold out. A good back up is the hummus wrap. They always have a wide variety of coffee to brew at home. My absolute favorite is the Black & Tan. I always go back to it and everyone I have served it to, also loves it.
Very good coffee and food at reasonable prices. They even offer extra large sizes. Plenty of intriguing items for sale in the way of coffee cups, brewers, etc. Street parking and parking lot available. Outdoor seating available.
Blt sandwich so delicious! Hot chocolate not as good as it once was but alright.
Slightly pricey for coffee but personally I think its worth it. Place has a great atmosphere and feel. Nicely decorated as well.
The coffee beverages are usually well-made because they only have seasoned staff on the coffee bar. The food is decent when they actually have any of it. About half of the time (not an exaggeration), they are out of the menu item I order or have decided to stop serving it for the day. Service ranges from super friendly (Im thinking of one chipper person in the morning who calls everyone friend) to the folks who are gruff and visibly annoyed that you are there. I think that Colectivo, in general, is becoming too large of a chain and that the owners dont pay much attention to the quality of individual locations anymore.
Great little space! Love the food and drink selection. This place can get busy though, and the WiFi is pretty terrible. Besides that, its a great location!
Its time for a union here
Came here for breakfast and picked up a chorizo burrito along with a specialty coffee. The burrito was filling and tasty. Spicier than expected but thats how I prefer them. The coffee was a limited run that I gave a try and really enjoyed. They offer an array of baked goods and bottled drinks as well. I picked up a kombucha when we stopped in during the evening on our way back from dinner. I also grabbed a specially espresso they had that was delicious as well.Ill definitely come back here on my next visit in town and take some pics next time.
Very cool place! Seems like a great spot to read or work.
I love colectivo. In my opinion, the best coffee shop in the greater milwaukee area. I hear they make their barista go to a couple of classes to learn about coffee and how to make the perfect expresso shot
Food is always good. The coffee is fantastic.
Wonderful Collectivo as always. Cant go wrong with some coffee here, or a place to do homework.
This location is very spacious. Theres a lot of room on the patio and the service is great.
Coffee was delicious and the baked goods were tasty. People working there were very polite. A good place to relax and drink coffee.
Delicious coffee, food is fresh, smoothies done well with fresh, healthy ingredients. Love this place when we visit from MN!!
Female employee rude, 1st time there probably last. Coffee so, so
Good coffee and sweet treats and a nice place for a sandwich over the lunch hour. Some tasty regulars and interesting daily specials.
This colectivo doesnt do pour-overs. But, they have good coffee, a good tea selection (I love the gala tea), and the atmosphere is always good. They have a good amount of seating here too.
Really nice, comfortable spot. Great for small meetings. Love the patio. Always fast and friendly service!
I really love Colectivo, though they will always be Alterra to me. Really good coffee with a wide selection of whole beans available, good food (reasonably healthy, too), and a very nice atmosphere. Outdoor seating is available to watch the world go by, and indoor seating is plentiful if the weather isnt cooperating.
3.5 stars. My favorite coffee place. Good breakfasts and lunches ...to accompany their delicious coffees
Nice staff, cost effective food and quick service. Always nice to get a breakaway from the standard starbucks. Great vibe.
Standard Colectivo experience - this is a great spot for working remotely or meeting up with others. Nice table spaces inside and out. Reliable Wi-Fi, always nice staff, good menu (hot and cold items) and of course coffee!
Unique location. Great coffee/food.
Woulda got 5 stars if they didnt change the name.
I frequent this location whenever I forgot to bring lunch for work. The sandwiches here are incredible, especially the turkey club. The ingredients are fresh, and the staffs friendly.
The manager and the team there are great! Personable and fun.
