This place has it all! Wonderful cheese and meats! The staff here was very kind and helpful with all the different questions we asked. The selection here is great too! I know I will be back here time and time again for everything they have to offer!

Who wouldn’t love a store dedicated entirely to cheese? Very well maintained, clean, Kind employees, and the free samples are delicious. They have all kinds of cheeses and you will no doubt be able to find one that you enjoy. Check it out if you’re in downtown Milwaukee, especially if you just saw a Bucks game!

This place sells cheese you cant find anywhere else. They have great prices for what youre buying, and fantastic shipping times AND great and responsive customer service. Its expensive, but a great treat or gift. Definitely consider shopping from them when you are looking for a product you cant find anywhere else. Im a return customer and hope to do more business with them in the future.

We just came here because we randomly decided to come to Wisconsin and thought we needed cheese. The service was very good, very sweet employees!Im excited to bring the beer home to ohio to my family who loves trying specific areas beer.

The Cheese Mart was a great place to buy all types of Wisconsin cheese products. The owner was very knowledgeable about all the varieties of cheese and made some really good recommendations. We bought several different types and they even gave us a little cooler with a ice pack to make sure our cheese made it home to North Carolina! This is a must do place if ever in Milwaukee WI.

My husband and I visited the WI cheese mart for a just a few cheeses, and ended up going home with over $50 worth in a free cooler. They do offer individual plastic wrapped samples of a few cheeses but we had a good idea of what we liked and what we wanted to try. They had a really good sale/deal on aged cheddar so we picked that up along with our one of our favorite brands of gouda, Marieke but not the flavor we we looking for (Foengreek was not in stock), also picked up Deer Creek Speciality cheddar (though we like Vat 17 best and they did not have this either), and purchased some other aged cheeses and some sausage. We ended up making a great cheese board with some other extras we got at another store (Maile pickles, nuts, were not from the cheese mart) Pretty good variety, and prices and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely be back, but if we are looking for a few specific cheeses, we might have to go elsewhere.

Its a great place in the cheese capital. Lots of unique, flavorful and interesting cheese.Surrounded by cheese, spread and lots of other souvenir items.They do have lots of cheese tasting samples with tooth pick. I loved the flavors and so many different varieties of cheese.Absolutely loved there fresh cheese curds, tequila hot cheese - its really hot!Only downside - nobody was on to check in, needs a push on the customer service. Very busy folks.

They had Wisconsin cheese presented in ways I never saw before. We actually found this place by accident but we were pleasantly surprised. They had samples of some of the cheese and it was fun to try a few of them. I like spicy foods so I bought some spicy string cheese and marble cheese curds. The spicy string cheese is...SPICY...yum. I also liked the beer stout coffee and mango fire cheese.

Great location in the historic street of Milwaukee downtown. Friendly and informative customer service. They offer wide variety of local made cheese. The 7 years age cheddar and jalapeño cheddar are the best. The best part is there is a free sample! As someone visiting from out of town, a collection of cheese was good gift for my family.

Breadstick cheese is delicious 🧀 and contains no actual bread. We got the smaller pretzel (hand sized), which was sufficient, but had pretzel envy when saw another table get the giant pretzel, which was the diameter of a pizza. So go with the giant pretzel 🥨

It’s a cool place. They’ve got plenty of cheese and cheese-related products. If you’re looking for good magnets to take back, this is an excellent spot for that.

Stopped in here today on our vacation. The store was empty. We were the only people inside except for two employees that never left the register area. They never asked us if we needed help. When I said I had a question I was expecting someone to walk over but it did not happen. I had to yell my question across the store to the young gentleman who did not know the answer and deferred it to the slightly older gal covered in tattoos, this is not a judgment just a defining factor in case the owner would like to know who was working. Instead of walking over to me to answer the question she just yelled at across the store, no customer service whatsoever. I asked her at the register if it was independently owned and she said yes. As a small business owner myself, I would be highly disappointed if my staff were so disinterested in the customer. This is especially important during these hard times. Every dollar counts. Everyone who walks through the door counts. The visit took place on Friday, June 4th around 1 PM. The store was clean, well-stocked, everything was well presented. One star was due to the staffs lack of interest .

We drove from Chicago to this place to experience cheese curds and to say we bought cheese in Wisconsin. I spent $45 on cheese but it was really good! I had one with Jalapeno and wish I had the name of it. **I just recently purchased another $40 worth of cheese and it should be arriving in a few days!

Ordered cheese from there people and they shipped it not in a cooler...just a cardboard box IN THE SUMMER HEAT. Showed up two days later and the cheese was 74F. Gross! Use a cooler! Use dry ice. Ugh. Had to throw it all out.

Great spot downtown for all things cheese. They also have a small bar. Get a wedge of cheese on the rim of you beer glass. It is awesome.

Wisconsin Cheese Mart.I received an order from the Wisconsin Cheese Mart as a gift, which arrived 2 days after it was shipped and still cold in the well packed box BUT each of the 5 bags of cheese curds contained dry, old cheese curds. They tasted OK (not great) but anyone who has tasted fresh cheese curds knows the difference. The bags are taped closed but not completely sealed and not vacuum packed.I emailed the Wisconsin Cheese Mart about the old cheese curds but never received a response.I would have expected better service.No response from Wisconsin Cheese MartI remailed Wisconsin Cheese Mart after their response to my initial review. No response from them after more than 1 week. That says a lot.

Expensive and very nice local cheese

We walked all over Milwaukee a few days ago and stopped by here to get some cheese and summer sausage. The variety of cheeses here is mindblowing. Every kind you can think of. James checked us out and was very helpful and friendly. Thanks James! Our cooler bag kept the cheeses cool while we continued to walk Milwaukee 😁

The last restaurant expedition I went on with friends before the pandemic really kicked in in early March was to Maders across the street, and its no surprise that we ultimately ended up here. Theres an extremely varied selection of cheeses, sausages and condiments at this place, and theyll kick in a bonus or two *gratis* or at reduced price if you buy enough. And believe me, after you see what they have in stock youll be inclined to.

The men in this shop were super friendly. They went out of their way to engage with us and even had fun talking to our kids. There were samples for all there specialty cheese, so we had fun tasting them. We ended up buying afew different unique flavors of cheese and they were delicious!

They have many samples to try - some youll scrunch your nose over, and some you will absolutely love. Very reasonable prices for the best dairy anywhere. Just be aware of expiration dates!I just returned from here yesterday (8 JULY) after purchasing several cheeses, as well as some of the bottled/jar items they sell. This morning, I looked (more closely) and the Extra Hot Mustard I bought - it had EXPIRED *two weeks ago* (19 JUNE 2019)! My own fault for not looking more closely in the store - but also, maybe, the store should NOT be selling expired products???

We stopped @ the Cheese Mart yesterday and they have a lot of variety in the cheeses they have. The sample table was great, so many flavors to try. Jack was super friendly and personable, who knew cheese could be so fun! Anyway, its a good little shop on the corner and we picked up some tasty curds.

Helpful staff

For locals its a tourist trap. You can go anywhere and get cheaper cheese in the city. If youre not a local then this has a great selection of samples and variety. I usually try some buy a little and then see if I like it and if I do Ill find somewhere that carries it for cheaper. But walking around sampling cheeses is fun, and you should buy stuff to try.

This place is amazing. Tons of options for different cheeses (like 300!) The staff, especially Jack, was super helpful and so nice. Id go there every week if we lived nearby!
