Love this incredible little bookstore! I went to a wonderful reading there and enjoyed it thoroughly. I also enjoyed the artwork on the walls. We are so lucky to have this gem sharing and encouraging creativity in our community!

After walking two miles to visit this store for the first—and last—time, I found its door locked. It was past their posted opening time. And after just walking two miles back home,I had plenty of time to think about why independent bookstores are closing: they suck at customer service. There was no sign on the door explaining the closure. Nor is there any reason given on their website.Thankfully, Amazon never closes. They will be getting my business.

Good for new and used books. Very niche for poetry, fiction, and commentary books

Regarding covid, you can only preorder books and pick them up. I cant wait to check out the store once they open up. They specialize in independent, small scale authors. Very interesting selection. Great local bookstore!

This is a delightful store. They not only carry a diverse selection from authors that dont live here but their catalogue for local Milwaukee authors is extensive and quite satisfying. The staff is always professional and friendly. Its well kept and clean . Their events are superb and again indicative of their thumb on the pulse of the Milwaukee literary sceneIts also a great, worthwhile cause that warrants support, so important is their work in the Riverwest community. Thanks!

Large variety of events and classes, some with scholarships available. This cozy bookstore has lots of poetry and prose by local and diverse authors. They can also publish your work!

This place is absolutely magical and supper important. We need to invest and support our local book stores! I come in with the request to order a septic book all the tome and they always accommodate my request and communicate beautifully.

Very cool place to find new things to read. I saw a number of players and poetry anthologies I was interested in, but ultimately could not resist a pair of chapbooks by a local beloved poet. Im embarrassed I havent visited this oasis sooner, but very glad I made time today.

While other reviews will rightfully discuss the poetry and local author selections, their American Indian section is also unbelievable. Some great out of print books that I couldnt find elsewhere. Tough not to spend hours and money here (both well spent).

Independent bookstore and local business. Extensive selection of zines, specialises in poetry. As noted both others the native american selection is thorough. Much to browse through, so plan to visit for a good while. The mural on the outside wall is also unique and adds much to the street scene.
