I loved this bookstore! The staff was friendly and greeted me when I walked in, but they left me free to browse (and pet the sweet ginger cat that lives there!). I love the atmosphere as well.

Well, here goes; on March 3rd, I ordered a book through ABE Books, I received the book, but the seller, Voyageur Book Store, decided to place two orders using my bank information! I will not support criminals.

Lot of books and I really fond of books and its best place for reading and they have old edition as well.

LOVE this bookstore!! The staff is always super friendly and they have a wide selection to browse. If you have books for a lit or English class you need to get, definitely check this place out. They have a ton of the classics for incredible prices. I love that every time I check out, the cashier knows something about the book I picked, whatever it is, and always is very conversational.

Great place! I stop by whenever I feel like perusing through possible new reads. Theres also a fantastically beautiful cat that lives in the shop. Super friendly staff!

The prices seem a little bit on the higher side, but not so much to complain about. Well organized. Two levels. Amazing chonky baby orange cay that showed us around. Will absolutely be back again and again.

The Voyageur Book Shop has multiple works by many of my favorite authors! There is a wonderful selection of classics. For several titles there are newer editions, old editions, cheap editions, and fancy editions. The Voyageur Book Shop is neat and clean but it has good decor and styling, too. Some bookstores with lots of old books can get a strong musty smell (which some people love, and others love to a lesser extent), but this one just has a faint, pleasant, bookish-scent. I was only dissapointed that the middle-grade selection is fairly limited.Pro-tip: Don’t forget to check out the lower-level for even more books to browse!

The owner of the place makes Voyager one of my favorite book stores. Hes always helpful and knows what hes talking about. I went in there with my mother to browse a bit and noticed a complete set of the Chronicles of Narnia, which wouldve rung up $70. However, he was willing to sell for half off just because we were buying the complete set.You know that hes not in it for the money if hes willing to give up a large amount of his profit to make sure the customer is happy. This is why Im going to keep coming back here as long as I can.

When I happen to find myself in the Bayview area of Milwaukee I always try to swing by Voyageur. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, as is their guard cat. I swung by today to pick up a gift for a friend and ended up talking with Jeremy (the owner, I believe?) about everything from odds and ends of the bookselling world to some author recommendations.They also have an excellent selection of nice art prints, one of which I’m admiring framed on the wall right now.Don’t pass up this gem of a bookshop. New and used with an admirable selection of rarer finds, and a cat and a good bit of conversation to boot.

Ive found, and bought, quite a few used books here. The selection is always interesting to browse through, and the staff is friendly. The books are organized nicely. There is a ground floor and a basement.

This was my first visit and, although I live quite at quite a distance, I am already looking forward to the next time I am in Milwaukee.The owner is knowledgeable about his store as well as a wide variety of subjects and ideas.This is not a huge bookstore, but he has a keen eye for titles and genre and all the right instincts for selecting and integrating books that complement his core stock, and having found many books that I have previously read there were many more books that would expand my understanding on some of my favorite topics.Fiction areas were nice, too. There is a resident cat, so factor in some playtime along with browsing.Totally worth the trip. The Indian restaurant across the street is worth sticking around.

This little shop found in the heart of Bayview is a rare gem that shines with the brilliance of their professional staffing and knowledgeable leadership abilities thanks to its being helmed by proprietors Blaine and Jeremy. Both being aficionados of the literate world helps to make their vast selection to target both beach readers and literature fiends alike. And of course they havent forgotten the kiddos with a large childrens section. Take into consideration their Friday evening book reading engagements featuring traveling scribes and their unflagging support for local authors as well as Sunday afternoon writing workshops given by astoundingly resourceful, creative and gifted Milwaukee area poet/artist Anja Sieger, and youve just found perfection. Dont take my word for it. But I will accept your gratitude for it later.
