BEWARE Beauty Island doesnt deserve No Stars. Was told couldnt bring purse into store with me or had 2 give them my purse 2 put behind counter where they have access to go into my purse. I honestly think NOT! I left back out the store because they always following us around the store as if we are all criminals & took my business to Value Beauty where my business was much appreciated. Nobody Harassing me about my purse & nobody following me around Value Beauty Gentleman helped me find what I was looking for Paid for my Merchandise and out the store a Happy Camper Customer. I will NEVER SHOP AT BEAUTY ISLAND AGAIN YALL LOST ANOTHER CUSTOMER FOREVER!! Learn how 2 Treat all of your Customers with RESPECT!!

The whole time I was shopping I felt uncomfortable. They watched me soon as I walked through the door. I never gave them a reason to feel as if I was gone steal. When. I walked up to pay for my things he basically was questioning me on things I picked up and he no longer seen in my hand. After he looked around and saw that I put it back he instantly start apologizing. THEY WILL NEVER GET MY BUSINESS EVERY IN LIFE.

Do not go to this place. They are expensive and really dont care for other ethnicities.

Do you usually have what I need when I go there

2 years ago I rated them a 4 and said the following: They are always polite. They always have what I need. Although, I would like to see more of a variety. Fast-forward to today. I rate them a 0. I have been coming to this place monthly for over 15 years. Spending at least $150 per visit. Two weeks ago.. I came in to do my normal shopping and to my unexpected surprise, was told to leave my purse at the front register or in my car. Wait, what?? You cant just lump people in the category of being a thief. You must use discernment... especially when you have evidence to the contrary. Needless to say.. I will not be back!! The owners son has become very rude and cocky..or maybe he has been that way and Ive just never noticed.. you can tell his energy is very negative because the hispanic worker seems very afraid of him. .. If you value your dignity and respect.. DO NOT GO HERE!!! To them... WE ARE ONLY AS GOOD AS OUR MONEY!! Youve been warned!!

LOVE this place!! Amazing selection..plenty of costume jewelry at ridiculously low prices. Lots of decent quality wigs/enhancements. Clothes, super cheap body jewelry, cosmetics, rows and rows of .99 ti $1.99 costume jewelry, cosmetics, even human hair lashes!! Last but not least, a nice selection of fishnet/lace full-body/catsuits. Great quality for the price, ive purchased these things for at least double the price at adult stores. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. I defy any woman to walk out without spending a few bucks here..seriously like a candy store for the savvy beauty junkie. They patient with my indecisiveness and even have me a free sample. Thanks guys !!!

Good Place For Beauty Supplies

This is the place to go if you are looking for those hard to find ethnic haircare products! The store is clean and well-organized and the employees are really knowledgeable and helpful. Plus I have always had a positive experience whenever I shop there--it is good shopping!

Great prices and service

Very helpful and friendly staff. They have so many items in stock besides just hair and make up...they have some unique shirts, lingerie, thigh highs & bodysuits. Necklaces, millions of earrings to select from. Some basic low priced shoes.

I have been going to Beauty island for over 20 years. I am treated like family everytime I come back. Loyalty goes a long way for me as this place has been a staple to the community. I will continue making this store my number one stop for all of my beauty needs. Its truly a one stop shop.

I feel bad for even attempting to shop there. I knew the history of this business but still wanted to give them a chance. I witnessed a discriminatory situation on this visit. A young black girl who was shopping with both parents had some items in her hand. Due to the setup of the store she had to walk past the exit to rejoin her parents. As she got near the door on the way to rejoin her parents the older Asian man yells get back here!. The father put the unapologetic older Asian man in his place explaining that he was wrong for accusing his daughter of stealing. He further went on to explain that the mother didnt want to shop there in the first place (due to the stores history) and he had to convince her. Cleary they wont return. Neither will I, I sat my $30 + items down and left.

This use to be my favorite hair care store, but the customer service gotten worse over the years so Ive moved on to value beauty✌🏾

Its was great experience going to this beauty supply store. Me and my daughter had went maybe a week before this time the clerks all of the staff were very friendly made us smile and laugh felt really nice to be in a friendly store. So we went back a week or so later the staff greeted us when we walked in. Made me feel like i was walking into my own home felt like we knewn each other for years. We started conversating right where we left off the week before.

The prices were low...the workers were approachable and pleasant...well organized with in the limitations...many flat surfaces, as you would expect in a start up enterprise....very large interior and lt appears that this establishment is continuing to grow....I would expect to see better fixtures and displays etc. in the future....large selection of beauty, home, and clothing supplies...

I feel that the staff he doesnt get the credit they deserve if I was in their shoes and had to deal with some of the rude women that come in here acting like they owe them sumthin. I would totally lose my cool but they keep it professional. We all know how trashy and disrespectful some people in Milwaukee can be.
