I paid $226.83 for 5 yards of top soil. I only used half of it. I asked if returning the remainder was an option and was told I would have to pay $50 for them to pick it up, which I did. The guys who picked it up told me it was easily 2 & 1/2 yards of top soil. When I called about a partial refund for the top soil that they took back and will resale, I was told I would not be receiving a refund. Amazing!!

I have ordered top soil in the past and have never had top soil as nice as this place. I was so impresses by the quality of the soil that I am going to order more to fill in areas of my yard. The gentlemen who delivered the soil was so wonderful and put the soil exactly where I wanted it. When dealing with the staff regarding my order, everyone so nice. I will definitely be using this place in the future.

If you need to order extra mulch to finish the job. Dont expect it to match. In fact dont expect it to be even be close. When you call to complain they will say thats the way it is. Nice place

Cannot recommend this company more! This was the easiest interaction I’ve ever had for a service! I did everything online. They were incredibly fast and professional with emailing and calling to confirm times and orders. Will 100% use them again. Honestly I’m not sure how they could ever get 1 star. I was blown away buy how awesome they were!

Bad mulch disintegrated within 1 year. Brought 2 different colors, said theyd bring right one, never showed up.

Very helpful people, I was able to pick up what I needed quickly In couple loads since my trailer was small but that was not a problem very much apresiated their help.

They have online ordering capabilities but then when your delivery doesn’t show up, and you call to check, they say “oh we didn’t get to it, we’re really busy this week”... then don’t have online ordering. People expect a seamless experience and you obviously can’t provide that.

Really nice to work with and quick turnaround for orders. Same day delivery available. We ordered to little in our first order due to my inexperience working with rocks. When I explained this over the phone they were very sympathetic and to make up for having to pay the out of area delivery fee twice, gave us (much needed) extra stone free. Ding one star because a lot of the stone was smaller than the picture, probably because it got crushed either in the truck or where it was stored. Would definitely order again.

They are very nice people but it would be so very helpful if they would answer the phone or return your call when you leave a message.

Melvin Mulch’s pricing is very reasonable, and their service is outstanding. I wasn’t sure how much to order, and the woman on the phone walked me through exactly what I needed to do and helped me place the order. Jeff delivered 3:5 tons of limestone and 2:5 tons of paver base to me today - the day after I ordered it. He was very accommodating as we have a small area in which to place the product. And, their delivery in Milwaukee was free! Anytime I need landscaping products, I will order from them.

This company has me completely confused and feeling completely ignored. I have no idea why or what happened. I called them in Fall of 2017 to ask about getting an estimate for a very large amount of mulching that was needed. They indicated they would come out and get me an estimate. I never received a call back, even after I gave one follow-up call. Fast forward to this Spring. I called them and was told we will come out Friday to take an estimate. I heard nothing and called them several days later, only to be told So and so isnt here right now to tell you so he will call you back. No call back was ever received. I then gave one final voicemail indicated I had no idea what was going on or why I was being ignored (both in Fall and now in Spring) despite them saying they were conducting an estimate. If they didnt want to do my mulching, just simply tell me so I can move on to someone better and more respectful. I am done trying to reach out to this company for their business with no response, apology, or explanation.

My family and I stopped by last night for the first time. We ended up ordering 3 tons of pea gravel for a residential project and it quickly got delivered before noon today. The staff was friendly and the delivery driver was kind and efficient. We will be ordering from here from now on. The prices are awesome and they have a great selection. Nice job Melvin Mulch!!!

Melvin Mulch has a wide variety of products. The staff is very friendly and there to help in any way possible to make your landscaping projects easy. Would recommend them to all my family and friends.

Awful and offensive service. I went to Haloquist Stone instead. Price, quality, delivery, and quantity of rocks was 100% better. Melvin Mulch does not answer their phones, return calls, or emails. We ordered rocks and the load was mostly rock sand and very small stones. We emailed and called with pictures and nicely tried to negotiate a discount on another order to finish the job. The owner accused me of lying and being just like every unhappy customer. He also accused me of measuring wrong and said he trusted his loader more than me. He was awful to deal with. Please, go somewhere else. He is a miserable, crabby, dishonest man.

We called this location in advance to check their hours of operation. Especially because it was Easter weekend. The woman we spoke to stated they would be open at 730am on Saturday (3/31). We hired labor and rented a dump truck and drove from when we arrived at Melvins it was closed. We called repeatedly and waited but still no one showed up. This cost us money and now our project is delayed. Very disappointing.
