Matt does great work! Ive taken my MINI to him the past few years and hes always honest and thorough when doing repairs while not completely gouging your wallet. He explains everything he does and shares his opinion so you know exactly whats happening and you dont feel like youre getting swindled on the price. Would recommend for any of your MINI repairs!

Not able to fix the problem?

I won’t take my Mini anywhere else. It took him 10 minutes to diagnose a problem that another mechanic spent a day trying to figure out. And he showed me how to do some preventative maintenance myself, saving $ in the long run!

I have had multiple cars serviced here for years and purchased my last 2 vehicles directly from Urban Motorworx. Top notch repairs and customer service. They stand behind everything done and take the time to explain everything. I cannot recommend them highly enough !!

I brought my 2003 325xi 5-speed to Matt and Ryan when I bought it a few years ago and they gave it a thorough inspection and then suggested a maintenance plan that Ive followed ever since. These guys know my car better than I do. I had the shocks replaced last winter and it was noted on the bill that there was some noise in the rear, which slightly alarmed me, but when I drove off I heard nothing. I stopped in the shop later that week and asked about the noise and after some conversation it was determined it was something their senses were attuned to that escaped my notice. Matt and Ryan are essentially the equivalent of piano tuners in the world of BMW indy mechanics. Take your car to them and listen to them and consider their opinions and suggestions because they know more about your car than you will ever know . . .

Matt and his team succeed where BMW North Milwaukee fail!!! After BMW main dealer failed to properly diagnose and repair an issue on my 6 Series, I took vehicle to Urban Motorworx. The issues were properly diagnosed by the pros at this independent shop, repairs completed and billed at a fair rate. These guys get my business from henceforth....

I had throttle body issues with my 2000 328ci earlier this year. Matt diagnosed the problem after a general mechanic accross town was unable to fix my issues. He repaired my car and stood by his repairs. A month or so later the problem popped up again. He fixed the problem and did further diagnosis to find out my cars computer needed some software updates to correct the problem. This second repair was done completely free of charge because he stood by his warranty on repair. An honest shop even when it cost him more shop time, parts, and money.

Had an almost identical experience as Brandon who recently posted. Took my 330i in for exhaust rattling noise. Also wanted him to check an issue I was having with a blown windshield wiper motor. Just purchased my second BMW and was looking to find a local indy mechanic instead of wasting money at a BMW dealership.Dropped off at 8am, told I would have a call back by 10am. Didnt hear from him all day, finally called at 3pm to check in. He hadnt looked at it all, said he would have one of his guys drive it around. Came by around 5, and Matt immediately went into criticizing the lowering springs and sport shocks that the previous owner put on my car, stating this was the reason for the rattling. Said he wouldnt even touch my car unless he could put all new OEM BMW parts and replace all shocks/struts and also wanted to replace my entire clutch at a cost over 5K$. Said he couldnt even check the windshield wiper motor since he couldnt get the hood popped and said it would be another couple hundred to get the hood cable fixed. After getting home I tried popping the hood and was able to right away- should have done it when I was there! Pretty sad that a so called professional mechanic couldnt figure that one out. Regardless of all the incompetence and criticizing, he charged me $50.Overall, I would NOT recommend this mechanic, unless you have thousands of dollars to dish out and know nothing about cars. Even then, going to the dealership is a better bet. At least they smile and say have a nice day as they swipe your credit card.

I had my 335i looked at recently by Matt at motorworx. When he called me he had mentioned I would need about 4K worth of work done to get it repaired. He explained that I needed a new thermostat and water pump(an extremely common issue on these cars) because of a code the dme was stating. Little did Matt know I had the tstat and pump replaced a month ago. The code was for a very small faulty wire associated with the tstat. They were ready to charge me over 2k for a job I did myself a month ago, because of code. When I took my car in I was hoping for insight on my oil leak. Matt once again stated the issue was a oil housing gasket(once again a very very common issue with these vehicles) how he knew it was that was beyond me because once again, little to his knowledge it was replaced a few months back. The repair costed me 15 dollars for the gasket and took me 20 minutes. He wanted to charge me 800. When I stopped back to pick up the vehicle he asked if I was going to pay for the diagnostic. I stated that I was a little confused since all they did was read my codes which any autozone can do for free. I also am able to read my own codes. Nothing Matt told me over the phone before I got there was new news to me and my understanding is that a diagnosis is an actual run through of issues with the vehicle, not reading codes and making assumptions. Before I could ask Matt what more they could do before I pay the 110 for pretty much nothing, he proceeded to toss my keys across the counter, walked away and said take your car and get out of here, Im done with you, dont ever call me again I walked out with a smile on my face because of how unprofessional and childish he acted. He wasnt getting a 4K job out of me, thats for sure. I wouldnt even get an oil change from them. This shop is no different than most indy shops, dont be fooled by the promises online of being different. Honestly stealerships are probably more honest than this place. Needless to say I would never recommend this place for even the slightest bit of work.

I recently went to this shop and the mechanic there was very rude. He was cursing and then he told me that I would have to at least 15,000 to get my fixed and all I wanted was a diagnosis to see what was yhe cause of my problem. I did my research and I needed a gas cap which is only 30.00 bucks and and a air injection check valve which was only 170.00 but we didnt get to discuss these things because he was vey disrespectful and, because Im black he really didnt care he came my car and told me he dont F work on my kind of car and tol6me to leave. I have a 745LI and just wanted a second opinion on how to get my car fixed.
