Absolutely excellent care was taken to fix the exhaust. It runs and sounds so nice now! They were able to take payment over the phone and finish all the work while I was at work. It was done absolutely excellent and within my work schedule.

These guys are the best. I was able to get off the interstate without going completely flat, and we called John’s based on the recommendations on the Marquette parents’ page. They immediately sent two guys with an air tank to my location which allowed me to get to their shop without ruining a tire and/or calling AAA. They fixed my flat and checked my other tires and got us back on the road in under an hour for less than $20!Above and beyond anything we could have expected. Highest possible recommendation.

I am a big fan of this business, they pull through for me time and time again. In this case I had a flat tire and they looked at it immediately, were honest in the fact that it could be repaired, and did the repair quickly. I would never expect this of them but its great that they did it!

I’ve been a loyal customer for as long as I’ve owned a car. This shop is extremely honest and trustworthy, and you won’t be pressured to get repairs that you can’t afford. Great customer service: the guys always remember me and my car when I come in, and they’re very professional and respectful. They told me when it was time to call it quits on my 94 Buick Century and gave me tons of advice on buying a newer used car, including a complimentary PPI.I come here for oil changes so I don’t have to deal with being told I need a bunch of bogus repairs like at the big chains.Thanks to the John the Muffler Man team for amazing service and for making a trip to the mechanic an easy experience.

I called about my muffler and they squeezed me in because I was getting off night shift and wanted to go home and go to bed. In 45 minutes my problem was diagnosed and fixed.They actually showed me the problem so I knew what they were talking about and I feel they are very honest and reasonably priced! My mechanic was very kind and professional. We’ve been going to John the muffler man for 40 years! GREAT business, I HIGHLY recommend them!

They considered that I had to get my fuel pump replaced on my 13 impala due to my fuel needle dropping on certain turns and causing check engine light, no symptoms of a bad pump either, $1,200, the problem did not go away so they replaced the harness as well along with other wiring, $150, still nothing and problem still was there months after, got a tip from another chevy owner with the same problem and told me to put in some fuel injector cleaner in and that should help it, sure enough I did and it has not happened since, not saying they are bad mechanics but maybe some dont know it all like we expect, cost could have been a $17 fix, BIGtip, they were unwilling to reimburse me some labor money for not fixing the problem, other areas after doing more research would have charged me half the the price for the job, I simply did not return unsatisfied saving me a headache going back n forth cuz they did have more suggestions, till this day havent got a call to ask about my problem but dont blame them, they still got paid.

They were very professional and helpful went above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied.

This place is the best! Honest priced! You need to arrive early, check in muffler work in and out in about 2 hrs no appointment, if later not going to get in! Prices fair! They do brake inspection for $40 pull drums and credit you if you get work done with them, free check engine light tests while you wait! Five stars from us!

Great place. Got me in really quick. Worked solid and constantly on the car. Didnt waste anytime, paid a normal decent price for exhaust welding/repair. They tested my car around the block. Everything was okay, paid and left. Great auto shop

Not once but twice have these guys gone out of their way to not only be honest and straightforward but empathetic for me and my situation and POS car! A mechanic that would recommend you not go through with the repairs and start looking for a new car is only indicative of their true genuine nature. Got rid of the old car and will continue to use them for all mechanical concerns going forward with new car.

Muffler Man was a huge help early this year, when my exhaust system started making noise. They gave me 2 options: fix it for now or fix it all. Money was short so I chose for now. Their fix lasted until a few weeks ago, and having now saved up some money for repair, Ill be returning for their honest and quality work.

The staff here is amazing. From start to finish they did not disappoint. They answered all of the questions I had, saved me as much money as they could, and finished the repairs the same day so I could pick it up the next morning. And yes, they are open during the quarantine so give them a call asap if you need to visit a car shop for whatever reason. They will take great care of you.

I must say that I experienced GREAT service at John The Muffler on 6/17/19.I took my car in (without an appointment) to get a repair estimate and was treated so nicely. My car is not an easy fix (foreign) and the parts are becoming very difficult to get.Well, a Tech by the name of Matthew worked on my car. Oh my goodness! He worked his MAGIC!!! And I was so happy. John The Muffler Man was amazing. I was going through town with a friend and her car started making noise and they were able to fit us in, in less than 30 minutes. They could easily have taken advantage of us but they didnt. They told us it was just a loose heat shield and that they did the fix for 10 dollars. They could have easily charged the full hour like many other shops would.I cannot say enough good things about the experience I had at this shop. Just thanks to the people there.

This was my first time at John the Muffler Man to have a new tires put on my crossover. I had a fantastic experience. Everyone was knowledgeable and very friendly and the service was very quick. I had concerns with my rear brakes showing wear, but they let me know (and showed me) that I had plenty of pad remaining on the rear brakes. They are very trust worthy and have the best interest of their customers in mind. I will be giving them my future business!

Stopped by the shop around 9:30am and I was out by 10:45am. Fast and friendly service as well as a great price. I was expecting to pay a lot more, but to my surprise the work was very inexpensive. Best mechanic ever. They were very descriptive. I have been there multiple time times and will certainly be returning. The are great about communicating. Also great at explaining what they were doing to a non mechanic. They walked me though and showed me what needed to be done and were super fast doing it.

Needed a flex pipe for my daughters vehicle and not only did they walk me through what was needed they were very honest. As a former mechanic that is very important to being a customer who may or may not know what is being done and what it involves. Price was very fair and was done in a timely manner. Went there for the 1st time today since the dealer service prices are getting ridiculous. Its hard to find a good Indy shop - but John the Muffler Man is one. They are too busy to give anyone the run-around, have good prices, and they care about the customer. They show the work that needs to be done and advise with work that can be held. I brought in my own supplies because I wanted specific parts used and that is no issue here. Will be returning to get my new tires installed soon!

Great service and friendly people. Had a rather big muffler installed and waited while they did the work. Took about 2 hours from the time I got there until the time I left. No appointments but the earlier you get in, the better. Excellent pricing and great with customer service. They kept me informed about everything they were doing along the way. This place rules! I was having some issues with my car and they were able to diagnose what was going wrong. I loved that they walked me through and showing me where on my car things were going wrong. Price wise I felt like they gave a very reasonable and fair price. I’ll definitely be coming back here for any future repairs.

Needed a new pipe welded on the already removed from car muffler I brought in. They did it while I waited, and did a fine job as well. Charged me very fairly, very little as it only took a few minutes. Couldnt have been more pleased.

The best mechanic in Milwaukee! I used to drive an hour to Fond Du Lac for a good mechanic until I found this mechanic. They are walk ins only, so I can always get my car fixed on my day off. Most recently I found a car on Craigslist, and I wanted to get it inspected. John the Muffler Man got it done! I met the seller at the shop, they inspected it and gave me an honest opinion. I ended up buying it and am very pleased with it. Definitely go here if you want quick, honest service.

Great place. Fast service, they diagnosed and repaired my catalytic converter the same day. I was offered a few options for the repair and ended up going with the more costly fix. I usually leave knowing more about cars and satisfied by the service and fair prices. My father always took our vehicles here and now I do too. Weve ordered and had installed countless mufflers, brakes, suspensions, etc... here over the years. If youre in the Milwaukee area, this is the place to go. Youll want to show up early to get in line if you cant make an appointment...fills up fast. I usually get there an hour before they open.
