We love Mid Century Meow so much that a significant portion of our house is decorated with awesome finds. In fact, our dining set was the second thing we bought for our home back in March. From the personalized service and suggestions, to the free in home delivery, you won’t be disappointed. We have recommended Mid Century Meow to friends and will continue to support local Bay View businesses like this one. Photos show a find we have repurposed as a planter box, a desk we have in our front entrance and our dining table set. Thanks Mid Century Meow!
Had such a great experience at MidCentury Meow. Aricka asked about my budget and my space, showed me workable options throughout the store, and previewed furniture pieces soon to come to the store. Next time, I need a furniture piece for my home, I’m going back to her. So grateful to have such a knowledgeable store owner in the area!
THE BEST!!! Oh my gosh. If youre looking for a shopping experience with someone knowledgeable and friendly, you must stop by. Quality furniture and an even more quality human running the place!
We could easily have bought the whole store but limited ourselves to a coffee table, end table and decanters. There was a fantastic assortment of furniture, decor, dishware and art. Everything is in wonderful condition. The owner helped us find what we needed and showed us how to style our purchase. We will be back!
Wonderful local shop with beautifully curated and unique pieces! Bay View is lucky to have this hidden gem. For their latest finds, the shop does a really nice job of updating their social media (Instagram) with available items.
Fabulous merchandise and decent prices. You could do an entire house in one stop! Ignore the whining about masking. Owner bends over backwards to meet my schedule, takes appointments online, the least I can do is honor her request to mask while I’m indoors.
Made my first (of what will be many) purchases, which was communicated with MCM via text. Super helpful, patient, and funny! They went out of their way to answer my questions and all of that made my purchasing decision even easier. I am happy to support a small business that care about their customers and provides excellent customer support. A lot of businesses could learn from MCM. Thank you!Update 8.14.21: Picked up my purchase and made another. Is Mid Century Meow the best store? Yes! Is the owner kind, funny, patient, cool, kick@$$, knowledgeable, fun, and the best? Also yes! Well worth the trip. Thanks!
Visiting from out of town and stopped by this beautifully curated shop to pick up a few gorgeous pieces. Owner went above and beyond packing the items for a secure trip home. Wish we lived closer so we could shop more often!
A nice little shop, the lady who runs the store will really work with you and help you find what youre looking for, try to get you a deal. The prices are on point for curated vintage shops like this, but can be a little high if you are a bargain hunter like I am. Overall, really nice curation and service.
This shop is an experience!! I loved everything from the furniture to the super cool accent pieces. This store has something for everyone!! Its the cats MEOW. Check it out sometime.
Love, love, love this store! Tons of quality furniture and decor, the owner is knowledgeable, helpful and kind, and prices reasonable. Bring a mask, because why not, I certainly respect that choice.
Awesome customer Service Excellent quality furniture For reasonable prices!!! Woman OWNED YOU GO LADY!! Will definitely be Coming back And Sharing with others
Such a great selection of beautifully curated items! You can see all the hard work that goes into this shop. It is a must visit!
Her prices are crazy, and not in a good way. It’s a nice store but look elsewhere unless you have money to throw away.
This store just came into my life at a point where I really needed it to help me cope with life through artistry; this store is absolutely magical.
Super cool wide assortment of all kinds of vintage gems that are hard to come by in such great condition 😻 Wish we had a bigger house for such classic retro pieces!
Wonderful shop with great vintage finds! And great service! I dont live nearby, and AC has always been very helpful providing measurements and answering my questions. When I was looking at a dining table and chairs a while back, she provided extra photos and dimensions so that I knew it was worth my 90 mile trip to the shop! Recently I bought a set of vintage ornaments, which she shipped to me without delay. Well packed and arrived in tact. I highly recommend this shop!
I wasnt allowed to shop because I forgot my mask since the government doesnt require them either. As a small business I recommend If youre going to make masks mandatory then provide them to your customers.
Beware of selling estate items to this store. My family’s personal experience is that she took advantage of a family grieving. Owner pushed to come on a holiday before any other businesses and cherry picked the most valuable items. Only gave us a tiny fraction of the price that the very next business said they would have easily paid. Found out we were terribly mislead on the true value of the items she took. Lost out on 2 other businesses even coming as a result. If you have really nice items and feel the price is wrong - tell her no. She will come back if she really wants them and you can’t sell them. BTW: vintage clothing is worth way more than $1 an item!---Update with my response to owners response below:---I did not bully you into getting more money at all. I did informed you (feel free to call it threatening if you want) that I would post a bad review after my sister asked to purchase 1 single item back and received a response to the effect of “Sorry you feel that way. But it can not be done”. I did in fact provided you with a preview of almost the exact text of what I did post above, so I am not sure why you were shocked. Instead, offline I offered you a chance to re-engage with my sister prior. My exact words were: “Unless you can figure out some way to make it right - such that my sisters and brother do not feel like they have been taken advantage of.” All you had to do was sell back the one item to make it right or just be more transparent or just something. It had only been 3.5 days (not a week) and based on items we saw posted on your site it did not look like that specific lamp had been sold yet. Yes my sister had regrets - but only after she felt that a lamp with lots of memories was sold for less than $10 that she later found out was really worth upwards of $150++. Yes it is true my sister has a kind-heart and did try to continue to engage with you in a friendly way after you came out. She was hoping that you would work with her to help her feel ok with the transaction. Unfortunately, she continued to find out from every other buyer she worked with, that we had sold the choice items from the estate for a fraction of what others would have paid. It was not about the money we got from you as my sister explained. When they thought about how you conducted yourself (bagging the clothes prior to any discussions/etc), and how you negotiated the price with very little transparency, that they felt more and more like you had taken advantage of them. They did not feel that your objective was to “put the family ahead of a business transaction” but instead to figure out the psychology of how to make the biggest profit. No I am not out of town - and don’t know what difference that makes.I am posting to let other folks know that in a difficult time of clearing out a loved ones estate that there are different ways businesses will engage with you. In our personal experience, all the other businesses were more up front with how they were pricing items and compensating us and as a result my family feels much happier dealing with them. Based on what we have learned along the way we figure that this business gave us about 10-25% of what other business would have paid for the same items. It is very possibly we are wrong, but it is hard to tell based on the manor the transaction was conducted. I wanted others to benefit from our learnings. All of my siblings knew it would be hard to part with items and were ok with doing so. The only reason they had regrets was when they found out they had been deceived. There is an element of trust that is placed in the business you sell your items to that is very important since there is no guide to help in cases like this. I would recommend that folks take the time to work with more than one business before selling off items. In our case, we would have realized the value of items sold and been able to come out the other side not feeling like we had been taken advantage of.
Great shop with great mid century pieces and the owner is delightful to work with!
Very unique collection, your bound to find something you like (if your an avid mcm geek like I am 🤓) however, some of the prices were outlandishly expensive.
Visiting from out of town and this stop was a highlight. Such a lovely shop.
Amazing shop and service! Got two great pieces (a dresser and a night table) for an incredible price, and got it delivered right to my building. They look so good in my home, I am beyond thrilled. Cannot wait to go back for more finds!
The woman who was there when I visited the store, I believe is the owner, was very rude. I wont be coming back.
Great customer service and communication. I live out of state and Aricka shipped items to me and help coordinate the shipment of a couch I purchased. Super helpful and great communicator.
This was my first time engaging with Mid-Century Meow and I was the furthest thing from disappointed. A friend told me about this place. Aricka was super energetic and attentive to my online inquiry. Heard back within moments of writing to her and of course she was able to find exactly what I was looking for. At the store, she was very disciplined with health precautions, distancing, and making sure that herself and her customers were safe which is so critical. I was able to pick up my order same day. My glasses were well packaged for my drive home and she even added in a few extra glasses to the set. She was super friendly & prompt, great at communicating, and was able to both respond to inquiry and fulfill my order same day. So many mcm goodies and gems in the store, ladies and germs, and you won’t get this type of service elsewhere. Give this amazing human your business!
Great local MKE business with lots of unique and eclectic treasures. Stopped in off the street and had a lovely shopping experience and [socially distanced] chat with the shop owner. I appreciated their care and attention to COVID protocols. Will definitely be going back!
Was so excited to finally get to see this place in person. Brilliantly curated by an owner with a keen eye, who is so down to help you find and curate exactly what will make your new place feel like home or your old home feel like new (well, old-new, I suppose since it’s vintage- you get me).Not only did Aricka work with me to find the perfect items, she even delivered it to me after hours. Above and beyond. Killer place.
Wonderful selection of mid-century furniture and goodies! The owner (didnt catch her name) was incredibly helpful and kind. Will definitely shop there again in the future!
Great store. I stopped by not knowing they were closed still but Erica let me in and see what they had. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Had a wide variety of mid-century furniture and decorations.
This is a wonderful store with unique products. Take a walk through and enjoy all it has to offer. It will not disappoint!
Recently stumbled upon this instagram site. Found an awesome dining table set and was trying to figure out pick up on my own or delivery.
