There was a lot of stuff here; a kind of a grab bag shop. If you need something to eat, they have a refrigerated section with sandwiches, alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks. There was the usual convenience store fare, but also a solid souvenir and clothing selection.

The best place in Millinocket and East Millinocket for gifts if youre looking for Baxter, Katahdin, or the twin lakes themed stuff. Reasonable prices, friendly staff. Family owned and operated. All around great small business.

We were camping near Katahdin and when we were coming into town from that direction this is the first and best place to get pretty much everything you need. They have gas, alcohol, wine, already made grinders, hot pizza and calzones, all kinds of awesome main goods.

Home away from home.we have Ben coming there for around five years.every year from that first summer has been nothing short of gratitude . an thanks to a couple of friends to my wife Nancy an daughter Jasmines people of the stores worker Lisa an Nancy to have built a friend ship that has grown larger every year.an the couple that lets us stay here every year at their place that the trust is so great i only remember as a young boy. This is what thay give to her a birthday place to not take for granted.i lost two brothers. This year its a healthy heeling place for me.an to give my daughter the greatest birthday I can give her.this place on largest pond IV ever seen.overlooking a Great mountainBut a place jasmine. Not only can you pick up necessities for camping, you can pick up a variety of souvenirs, including clothing, hats, homemade items, etc., as well as fishing gear, etc. And if you were in a hurry to get to Baxter State Park and forgot to eat breakfast, you can pick up a hot coffee and muffin to get you started. Plus the staff was very helpful with information, as well as very friendly.

I entered and immediately left last week when visiting Millinocket because I was shocked that there were many people inside the store not wearing a mask. I mentioned something to the lady behind the counter that I felt very uncomfortable with people without masks in the store and said I was leaving, to which the lady just shrugged. Its shocking especially since Millinocket is the site of a superspreader event from a wedding in August. I noticed this also at other establishments in Millinocket. My advice for anybody staying in Millinocket to visit Baxter State Park would be to bring all your groceries and everything you need so that you dont have to go into any stores in Millinocket.

I grew up just down the street from the Katahdin General Store when the Higgins owned it. It was a great little store back then, and when I went in again the other day I really didnt expect much. The new owners really stepped up and improved the General Store and brought it to the present. I couldnt stay long to see alot of the products they offered, but that is ok, it just allows me to enjoy more of the store the next time Im in.This has always been a store where you can get the amenities you forgot, whether you live down the road, or going to the lake and/or Baxter State Park. The new owners expanded it to add so much more.Great job.

The Katahdin General Store has been a fixture in Millinocket for many, many generations. We have always used it as our go-to local convenience store. It has changed a bit over the years. Now expanding to target more of a tourist clientele as opposed to us locals. But, it is well run, clean, friendly, and a place with something for everyone.

As always I like the small, local stores. Great variety, from grocery, booze, cigars, lunch all made, coffee ready to go, and all the winter gear you could imagine. They have all kinds of fishing supplies, boots, clothes and homemade items. Great place to visit.

I shop here at least once a week. A good mix of products for the outdoors camps and general living. Service is always friendly and theyre happy to point you in the right direction if they dont happen to have what you need. The Katahdin General or KG as its known locally as been a fixture in this region for decades.

This is a great store. My husband and I call it the Millinocket Mall, as we live in Millinocket, there arent many places to shop, but this is one of them. They have a wide range of seasonal items. From shoes to clothes, home decor, tasty food, and much more. It also doubles as a regular convenience store, where you can get cigarettes, and liquor. The people who work here are friendly, and very helpful. There is also a gas station out front. Definitely check it out!

Awesome little mom and pop store thats not so little whench inside the store. Has about anything anyone could ever need. From adult cough syrup (60 proof) to souvenir items like clothing to knives, food and stuff for sustanunce. And best of all, being out side town proper were the price wars happen on mainstreet by about 100 yards out of town, their sale price for gasoline beats main street stations by about 10 cents, Ill tell you 10 cents adds up quickly these days especially if youre filling up the busses large tanks, boats with reserve tanks and Jerry cans for use being no gas of public sale at the place you could be heading for out in the backcountry. Awesomely friendly folks waited on thusly both times I left a fair amount of my monertary units with them for good running gasoline, ran grate and acquired really good mileage results. The Allens Cherry flavored killed anything inside my mouth and throat better than Doctor ordered cough syrup, once I made it home and went to bed for the night. Having an amazing next day all cleared up, no phlegm or congestion. I definitely will support this establishment when thusly is back in the townith. mainly because Id rather support local then the big box Stores, you usually have better quality and better quality services. Certainly that was my first experience/Impressions along with the better second time that I left even more of my monertary units with them.Mr. P.
