I love record stores. This place has a huge variety that utilizes the space it has. And the guy who owns the place is always picking up more records. Theres a whole nother room I havent even explored yet, with cds and even a few tapes if Im not mistaken, but the records room tucked to the side is where I spent most of my time here. Will have to come back for more.. its probably one of my new favorite places here.

One of few record store that are the Diamond in the rough. You can spend hours on-end searching for that record you want. Its like treasure, especially up top were the 45s are. It is a fun monster store that ill always enjoy whenever i have a chance to visit there.

My go to spot for vinal! The owner is very friendly, and knows everything about music. A great place to get records, CDs, music collectables, or just talk about the musical world. Its also an iconic spot in Mill Valley history, and has lots of depth. Worth at least popping in and checking it out!

I have known Gary, the owner for more years than I care to remember. Hes a great softball player & Little League coach, as well as a music aficionado. Gary has musical knowledge personified & his many years of working at Village Music has taught him how to handle customers in a thoughtful and tactful manner. Gary, being a musician himself, understands what goes into the making of a recording & has vast knowledge of the changing trends in the music industry. Coming into Mill Valley Music is like what I imagined the old days to be where folks sat around a cracker barrel and discussed the days events. People often come in there to discuss who they might have seen recently during a live performance. Its a very lively atmosphere that lends itself to some spirited conversations.Gary always has time to chew the fat while maintaining an excellent collection of both the latest recordings as well as some wonderful vintage works.
