Once again SugarHouse Awning has made an excellent awning! Initially trying to get a response from the sales person I was working with was slow. But once I was turned over to the person who measured everything and then the installer the process was seamless. They were both fantastic to work with and installed the awning sooner than expected. SugarHouse Awning does great work! Will use them for any other awning needs I have in the future.

We had a cover made for our enclosed trailer. The process was easy, great customer service and the cover was fabulous! A perfect fit and made to our specifications as far as zipper placements, etc. Excellent fabric and look! Will definitely recommend SugarHouse Awning!

The canopy deck cover allows us to use the deck more in the heat. However, in a wind the canopies do not stay hooked back at the roof area. They come loose and flap back and forth in the wind.The verticool crank shade they installed was completely unsatisfactory. The material reacted with our sliding door screen to produce moving large patterns whenever we moved in the room. It was very offensive to the eyes. Also, it took a lot of cranks to move the shade up or down. Sugarhouse Industries could not find an acceptable solution for the shade material and they charged us $400 to return it for a refund. We were not at all happy with this.Because of their full schedule, we were not able to get our deck cover until late summer. Not a lot of time to use it.

I shopped around the area and visited with other shops that did Boat tops and was not impressed with their customer service (very non committal, on time or price and I know that they are busy but that doesnt help me as a possible customer). I went to SugarHouse Awning and their sales staff was right there to help with selection, price and timeline, so I had them replace my old top with a new one, with changes that I wanted for my fishing boat and boy did they do a great job right down to making sure I knew how to make everything work effortlessly. Had a zipper replaced in RV toy hauler than separates in-out door to patio. I wanted a larger more substantial than original. They installed original style. I asked about warranty and was told zippers dont have any warranty. So I was left with same, just waiting how long this will last.

We had boat covers done a couple years ago and a few of the snaps had gone missing. Called ahead to get them replaced and they happily agreed to get it done while you wait! Arrived at opening time and was back on the road in 10 minutes, with no charge. Great service!

Great Product.......I love the outside shades that dissipate the Suns energy and heat to the outside!! The room cools 10 degrees just like that when the shades magically descend........and as the sun drops toward the horizon, all four shades retract to a beautiful sky.

We needed a Bimini repair and new boot for the boat and Sugarhouse Awnings took great care of us. Fair price and quicker than expected. Hopefully we won’t need any further repairs, but if we do we’re calling Sugarhouse Awnings!

We are glad we did the roll-up shades for our back deck. It wasn’t an easy set up to measure and make the shades, yet everything turned out fine. Like the dark color I chose. It helps keep the room inside the slider cooler even when the door isn’t open.When I moved to Utah in 1980, Sugarhouse Awning was around and it still is. That says something!

Friendly and very helpful staff. They made certain that we purchased a product that met our needs and budget.

I called on got a quote for a tent that had a half inch hole in it. I was told by a very nice guy to bring it in. Minimum cost was $30.00I went from DayBreak to East Sandy to pick up tent. Then drove to Midvale. They then told me. It would be $25.00 plus to fix it. Then It was now up to $90.00s. They never even took it out to look at it. I called the owner of the tent. He said he could fix it. After 2 1/2 hours. I took it back to Sandy. I am 70+ years old. I have used them in the past. What a waste of time and STRESS. I guess you have to pay for Customer Service. Oh the good old days.

Every 3 or 4 years, I need to replace the zipper on a badly designed 3+ season REI tent (that eats zippers). Otherwise, the tent is great and has lasted many years. I have the zipper replaced at Sugarhouse Awning Ind. and they do a great job. Its a bit pricey, but still much less than the cost of a new tent. We put a really heavy zipper on this time, so hopefully it will last the remaining life of the tent.

I understand it took months because of materials in short supply (7 months). I dont understand why they needed to cut my tiny peach tree back 😢 so much.

I HAD A BOAT MOORING COVER THAT RIPPED. I WAS ABLE TO SCHEDULE THE REPAIR SO THAT I TOOK THE COVER IN ON A TUESDAY MORNING, PICKED IT UP ON WENDSDAY AFTERNOON, BACK ON THE BOAT THURSDAY. THE PATCH WAS 6 WIDE 4 LONG FROM A DART TO A DART, AND LOOKED LIKE IT BELONGED. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE SUGARHOUSE EXPERIENCE

Sugar house Industries made and installed a new shade on my west-facing kitchen window. Not only does it provide shade but feels like ten degrees cooler in the kitchen. Had a wonderful experience at Sugarhouse Industries. I took my boat cover in to be replaced, and after examining it they told me they thought the cover was in pretty good shape and they could replace the broken snaps and sew a couple of small tears and it would last for a few more years. Instead of $1,000+, I paid $107 and my cover is in great shape. So nice to work with people who are actually watching out for what is best for the customer. I would highly recommend these guys.

I took my boat in to get a new cover made in December. They had finished the cover rather quickly. However, I am very displeased with the lazy work that was done to the cover. They missed several snaps around the entry of the boat and when I drove the boat home all the snaps on the back came loose. We took the boat back to them to have repaired. They did change the snaps on the back so the cover wouldnt blow open again however, they didnt address any of the other issues I had with the cover. I just decided to deal with it and take the boat. I cant trust them to do a decent enough job to leave it with them again.They will not be getting my business for future projects.

Sugarhouse Awning did the rear deck on our 1993 Four Winns 210 Horizon. The wood had rotted out and the deck disintegrated around the hinges.These guys did a great job. It’s perfect fit and finish I was very happy.

Great job in making a custom bow cover for our boat. Initially had a few design issues but took our feedback and made the necessary changes to end up with a great product that fits well and is functional.

To be honest, initially the process did not go very smoothly with scheduling and a couple other issues. Knowing it did not go well, the president of the company contacted us to get our feedback and worked with us to make things better. We got a snap-on boat cover and the quality seems very good and we are happy with the installation and the willingness to make things right.

The air conditioner cover we purchased fits perfectly. The folks at SugarHouse were great to work with, answered our questions and followed up to make sure we were happy. Wish more companies were this good!

Sugarhouse re-upholstered two rear jump seats and the rear tanning deck on my 1997 SeaRay. They did a perfect job in matching the fabric and trim and also delivered a beautiful finished boat on time, so my Lake Powell trip wasnt ruined. Ill definitely use them again!

We just wanted a new top for our boat and instead we got a trashed boat and bad service.Our tops look fine, nothing special. There work is good, that’s not where my complaint is.We took our boat with travel covers and dropped it off to be measured for tops. We picked it up and brought it home uncovered it to work on it, this is where my disappointment started. They had left our boat uncovered during a storm and there were leaves, cotton, etc. in our previously clean boat. Don’t get me wrong I understand storms can come out of nowhere, BUT how hard would it have been for them to hurry and run a shopvac threw it.We took our boat back a few weeks later to get the tops installed I mentioned it to the male who was helping me that we were disappointed in the mess, he said he was sorry and that “it was a common issue and he talked to the people in the shop” my husband picked our boat up today for the final time. Our boat was again even messier. When he confronted the man helping him he was told there was nothing they could do and to have a nice day.So yes we hopefully will enjoy our new tops, after I spend hours detailing my what once was a clean boat.

I walked in this morning needing a repair on my Kodiak canvas tent. I was prepared to leave the tent with them for about 2 to 3 weeks because they had told me the day before that it would be that long until I could get the repair done, due to their helping with PPE for the community. When Clay met me in the front lobby to see what I needed, he quickly assessed what needed to be done on the tent, and then invited me back into the warehouse where he promptly repaired my tent on the spot while I watched. He then helped me fold, roll, and tie up my tent. He went above and beyond, and I am so grateful for the prompt help I received. They earned a long-term customer today.

We bought a $16,000.00 dollar air/heater unit, the dealer promised us a cover. Months later no cover so we decided to go back to the company that made our last cover almost 15 years ago. SugarHouse Awning made sure we got what we wanted right down to letting us pick the color of the straps to match the color of the cover. The best customer service ever! She was very friendly and made sure we got what would work for the size of the unit. Very impressive!

Great Customer Experience for a tiny $13.00 purchase. Last time I took the boat out, I broke a plastic connector on my Bimini top. The part is no longer being made, so my wife and I took the boat and the Bimini to Sugarhouse Awnings. I was prepared to schedule an appointment for a ~$100 repair.When we walked in, we were greeted immediately, and someone walked outside with us while we waited for a specialist to come see my boat and cover. Never was I left alone wondering what was next. We were offered, and accepted a bottle of water (hot day). The specialist found the parts we needed, took the time to find the hardware I would need to install them, and gave me clear directions. We spent less than $13.00, and I was able to install the new parts in about 10 minutes.Great service on the smallest of sales. This is a great organization that obviously makes their customer experience a top priority. Their usual sale has to be several hundred dollars, or several thousand. This experience makes me consider them more seriously for an awning for my back deck next year.

I contacted this company because they were recommended to me by my landlord. Not only did they take pictures of the wrong awning and send me pictures of the incorrect unit, and I had to wait even longer for my design, they did not include a quote with the design. I have asked three times for a quote and now they are closed for the holiday weekend. I am required by my landlord to have an awning sign up by a certain day, and now I am behind schedule because apparently this company can not simply respond to their customers emails or answer the phone.

I needed covers for my AC units - they called me to get a correct measurement after they noted an error in my request. The finished products fit like a glove and look custom made. Very nice quality. Very happy with the result.

Weve used them for boat canvas and re-upholstery and again for a motorized drop shade at the house.On one of our first experiences, I was caught up in traffic and did not get there in time to pick up our boat. The staff was understanding and arranged to have a forklift driver stop by and retrieve the boat for me. This was after normal business hours and the driver had already headed home.I was so impressed by this above and beyond attitude that Ive actually used them as an example of superior customer service in presentations Ive given to business leaders across the US.They have always provided excellent service!

Overall, the products, workmanship, and timeline are really good. Heres my comments:1- poly carpet is very nice looking and comfortable but does get really warm or slightly hot in direct sunlight. The carpet rings are very bulky and uncomfortable to walk on. They are 3/4 inch thick compared to the original 1/2 inch thick slim line rings which came with the original carpet. Sugarhouse should carry more than one kind and there should be a slim line version.2- front bimini is very nice and blends in well with the original aft bimini.3- side enclosures are very nice blending in well with the aft bimini4- rear enclosure is nice but slightly loose in the back and extremely tight fitting zipping onto the aft bimini and both side enclosures. Left side is barely ok, but the right side is nearly impossible and really needs to be adjusted so it doesnt tear over time.Update November 28, Sugarhouse is awesome and stands by their product. They quickly contacted me and are making adjustments on all items in my review.

We were able to select our make and model from the list provided, but we were also asked to confirm dimensions and location of hoses, etc. so that the opening was in the correct location.
