Awesome shop- they worked on my 1966 Austin Healey and my 2003 Ford Expedition.On the healey they made a custom change to my master cylinder and charged me reasonably and did the work quickly. On the Ford they did my brakes and rotors.Great job, special thanks to Ryan as well!!

Shop is the legacy takeover place for the similarly named Mike Stevens shop, but Mike has nothing to do with the management of this place now. New shop owner: Ryan Border.For a while I found Ryans new shop name & location (& taking over Mikes business location) to be mostly ok. However Ive now found I must stop using them altogether.Key recent & long term problems with American & Foreign Garage:Problem 1: The lady service manager (scheduler & arranger & front desk operator) who answers the phones has a curt and rude demeanor.Problem 2: They recently completely misdiagnosed strut mount problems with one of my cars. Another shop quickly and easily found the mount problems. American & Foreign Garage completely failed to find & diagnose the problem.Problem 3: They dont like giving rides to customers, at all. The service manager woman just told me they had to completely stop giving rides to all customers to do staffing issues, whatever the heck that means.In the past I used this shop location as one of two main shops I would regularly use. I found one shop was good for one thing and this shop location was good for others. But now I must completely stop using American & Foreign Garage AKA Ryan Borders shop, primarily because of problem number three. He doesnt care it seems if customers with regular jobs actually show up to his shop in the first place. And he doesnt care about the otherwise rude and curt demeanor of his service manager.The rude & curt service manager woman stated that I could take the train or the bus to their shop, as if I didnt already know how to do that. And in fact I *have* done that with them - since Ryan took over this location from Mike.Same phone number. Slightly different name. Widely different customer service practices & policies. This isnt Mikes old shop. Its gone & hes retired.
