I can’t say enough for Christine,she is an outstanding operator, I came w/limp drab hair, felt like I was so old but after she cut a stunning stack Bob and highlighted and doing a Smoothing treatment my hair has been so healthy and shiny now.I feel like a person on a Vogue magazine.So my hour commute is nothing when it comes to having Christine as my stylist,she comes highly recommended as a Professional In every service that she has performed on me and my family.

In the first year I lived in Midlothian I went to at least 5 different places, trying to find a cut I loved. I finally found Christine about 7 months ago and FINALLY found my girl! She does a fantastic job on both cut and color. I have baby-fine, straight hair and do not have time to fuss with it. The sign of a good cut for me is that I don’t have to fuss. 10 minutes and it looks great! She takes her time and makes sure it’s perfect each time.

I have exclusively went to Christine since this beautiful salon has opened! I will never use anyone else! She gets me and always pulls off the color I’m wanting! The House on the 5th is absolutely cozy and beautiful! They offer so many great products and options!

Danielle gave me a great trim and shape-up, which is a challenge for most stylists since every cut shows on my hair type. I’ve been growing out a bad cut from another salon in town. I was cautiously optimistic that this would be better. What an improvement! :D She was punctual, efficient, and professional. Her products smell great, and the salon boutique has so many cute things to offer. Will return for sure!

I’ve always had such an amazing experience at The House on 5th. My stylist, Danielle has been doing my hair for 7 years or so and has always been phenomenal. The boutique is always on point with their styles. I absolutely recommend coming and checking this place out! They definitely make it feel like home.

This is a hidden gem! Cute boutique/salon with helpful and nice personnel. I went in to get my hair colored and cut with Amber and she did a great job fixing my hair! There was so many cute decorations and crafts along with jewelry and clothing and even shoes.

This place is soooo nice. Danielle has been doing my hair for a while now, I followed her over here from Mansfield, she is the best !!! Tried several other stylists before I found her, and would not want to go to anyone else!! Try this place out, super cute and I would recommend Danielle to anyone !!!

I love everything about The House on 5th! Danielle always works her magic on my hair and they are my go-to store for gifts, clothing and accessories.

I would rate 0 stars if I could! Please save your money and go elsewhere - your hair will thank you. Amber did my hair (I was attracted based on a Groupon), and when I came in for my brown/dark blonde balayage, the results looked NOTHING like the picture I showed! She accidentally bleached my BLACK hair to PLATINUM in one sitting because she started working on another client’s hair WHILE waiting for the lightener to process on mine. And when she tried to tone it back to dark, she went too dark and told me “after a few washes it’ll lighten to the color you want!” when it should’ve actually looked the way I wanted when I left the salon! My hair is now extremely damaged, I wasted over $100, and I’m having to go out of my way to repair it. Paid, honest opinion and I wouldn’t want what happened to me to happen to anyone else.

Worst place! Messed up my hair I look ridiculous! Would never come again
