They were very rude and pushy

If anyone walks in and they give you an operator named Sarah do not use her! First off she did a lousy job washing my hair, I had to ask her to completely rinse the shampoo out. Secondly, she had no idea how to cut hair. I ended up telling her to stop and get me another operator before she was going to completely ruin my hair. I have never had to ask for someone else to take over. I realize that she was new, but I dont see how she could have ever passed her operator exam. I tried to give her a break but I was actually in tears. The manager took over and did an excellent job. I would use her again. I dont like to give bad reviews but I would not want anyone to have their hair messed up.

I called Thurs 2/8 and made an appointment for today, Sat at 1200. I arrived 10 minutes early and was told that i didnt have an appointment. I had to wait over an hour to get my hair cut. This is not the 1st time this has happened. The girl who cut my hair did an awesome job though.

I cant say enough good about this salon. The employees are always friendly and courteous. Whenever Ive had a question about product they take the time to answer and help me. Rachel Fivie is wonderful. From the first day I went to her till now she goes above and beyond to insure my satisfaction. She greets you with a smile. Always asks questions to make sure she understands what I want.

There is no customer service in this salon and clearly the women working today do not want to cut hair. Too busy stocking the hallway with merchandise. Walked in to a completely empty salon and five employees working. Not one of them was cutting hair. Asked if they had an opening, the girl said yes we are booked. I thought she was kidding because of what I witnessed. I asked ok till when? She said our next opening someone else will be coming in at two so she can cut your hair. That’s almost two hours away. I’m not one to make a scene which I wish I had but I told her never mind. I go shopping and as I’m leaving twenty minutes later, I pass by and still the same women stocking and two of them just sitting in the salon chairs chatting it up doing nothing else. I could have almost been done with my haircut had one of these women stepped up to do what they were hired to do. That was my first time there and will never return. Lazy!

Melissa is a terrific hair stylist. She has been cutting my hair for several years now and always gets it just perfect.

I took my son into the salon to get a kids haircut at 4:30 and they told me they would see if they had any openings. They told one lady that her 4pm never showed so they canceled her appt and got my son in. 5 minutes later when she is working on the right side they come back and tell her that her 4pm was there the whole time waiting. She then rushed to get my son out of there so she can get to her 4pm. Well when she was done she covered my sons hair in gel and swiped it to the side to hide the damage she had done it did not even look like she touched the left side. I ran straight home, washed his hair, combed it out and saw what she had done it was a disaster. I went back to get my money and she even had the nerve to try and keep the tip! The saddest thing is she was training another lady! She does not deserve to have a cosmetology license. My son did not move and inch which is even more sad! Her name is Diana and she should never be allowed to style hair again, the hiring manager at JCPENNYS salon should be fired for hiring her in the first place, and whoever gave her a cosmetology degree is a complete idiot. When I left after getting my money back I was going to go to Sallys and get some hair clippers myself to try to fix the damage but then I saw expert cuts and took him there and they did an amazing job fixing it. Now he is ready for his 2nd birthday party. I will post pictures.

Scheduling was easy and the customer service was excellent.
