LOVE this store! I work in the sports industry so I always wear athletic gear. They have the best selection and the most comfortable clothes and shoes. Academy sports is by far my favorite store to shop for shoes and apparel.

I placed an order online for 3 items. The next day I got a notice that one of the items was unavailable. I looked online and found a replacement. I called them and asked if the order had been shipped yet. I was told no. I asked if they could include the replacement item. I was told no, once an order has been placed it cannot be changed. I explained they changed the order because 1 item was no longer available and I only wanted to use a replacement. They said no you will have to place an additional order and pay additional shipping. Not satisfied customer. A day later I tried to order a replacement for the cancelled item and pick it up at store. Next day notified that item was no longer available. Two days later I stopped at the store. Found a replacement and took it to the register where I was being charged $34.00. I explained no where did I see the price say $34. The same shoe in blue was marked $20. and red did not have a listed price. I said I did not want for $34. The blue did not have the size I needed. I also had a item on a sale rack that said take an additional 25% off lowest price. After I paid I realized I wasn’t given the extra 25% off. I asked the clerk and was told too late. Until this month I liked Academy Sports but my 3 recent experiences with service there was unacceptable. Sorry no is not good customer service by their employees or store.

Love shopping here, great merchandise and prices are reasonable. I shop here almost every week. Employees are the best, always there to help and very friendly. Can be seen on main road and highway. Clean store and plenty of parking.

Needed a foam roller so we can do some of our physical therapy exercises at home and was able to find them here. They have a variety to choose from. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Couldnt find half the things I was looking for but it seems to be the issue in this time anyway.

Super nice staff and was only place I could find the steel toe boots on my size I needed for work that I didnt have to order or wait to pick up

One of my favorite places to shop with my daughter. Excellent variety of athletic and casual clothing. Prices are usually very reasonable. Have purchased shoes here multiple times as well. Thankful that the dressing rooms are now open! That is a huge plus considering most retail clothing stores are still not open. Staff are usually very helpful and friendly.

Went for baseball gear for my son and found everything we went looking for. The things were pretty picked through, though. Granted, the little league seasons are all beginning. As for the store, the employees were all helpful and friendly, and I did need assistance with a couple of things. I gave it 4 stars only because the cleats shelves had a lot of gaps and sizes were all over the place, out of order.

Very nice store with lots to chose from. They have various sizes from infant to adults. Pricing is fair, name brand clothing and accessories. They Also have sporting goods, hunting things and shoes.

I went to buy some shoes but what I noticed is their rather robust selection of free weights, boxing heavy bags, guns, and ammo is just about gone. Unsure if theyre simply out of stock or struggling.

Good God avoid the restroom at all costs. Ive never seen a dirtier store in my life. The bathroom smells like rancid urine. Its been this way for months.

Prices are better than other outdoor/sporting stores, selection is great, quality merchandise. Great customer service, and they have updated payment options like Apple pay, Google pay, etc.

The staff was helpful but I waited almost 30 minutes to return some items that I had ordered online. They still had their tags on and I had the packaging slips. They need to update their system.

Bought an Olympic weight set, which are hard to find at a good price right now. The were very helpful with loading it up too.

Didnt have what I wanted even though their web site said it was in stock! One of their workers said that the web page is always wrong.

Drove 45 minutes from another location just to be told they dont have any of the 3 items I were told were in stock. When I asked the employee stocking chairs he didnt seem to care.

All went well, I found what I was shopping for, waited in line at the register about 5 minutes and as I got to the register they opened two more. The young lady working the register took immediate action to correct a pricing error and I was on my way. Good experience.

Lost part of a firearms transfer order and provided no recourse to find out what happened at time of shipment delivery despite admittedly having cameras in their receiving area. This has led to a month long delay in completion of said firearm. I have since reached out to the manufacturer for a direct replacement. The only recompense for the missing (already rare) part was a $40 waived fee.

This is really an amazing place. There selection is incredible. My family found ourselves looking at cool things we did not even come to shop for. I love a store that has great prices, selection and customer service.

They are very expensive here. This is not the place to shop for Xmas unless you have no budget and no bills to pay. I myself cant afford to shop there. Its a beautiful store. Great layout an pretty much everything you need for sports and outdoors.

Loosing its luster, very picked over had a thrift shop feel.

Picked up an online order and they were understaffed and it too a while to get our item. Sale prices are good.

On this trip we went looking for young mens shoes. Selection and sizes were limited. Staff wasnt unfriendly but also not looking to interact with customers.

Return some items and was not refunded the right price. The first person that was helping was in to big of a hurry to leave. The second person not friendly at all. I feel like I was cheated out of some money. That will be the last time I shop at this store. Poor customers service

Always enjoy a visit to academy. Well laid out, clean and lots of variety. I believe I have always found what I was looking for when I go. Last night was fishing lures, a fish scale and ping ping balls. We checked out the clearance items while we were there too. Great selection, just nothing we had to have. We will be back.

Got an incredible deal on a smoker. I’d been watching it for a number of months and Academy Sports Father’s Day sale had it at almost half off! Would have given five stars, but I had to carry the smoker to the front on a cart by myself and then out to the car. Didn’t mind doing the work, but I couldn’t find anyone willing to get me a flatbed or dolly.

Great customer service, hunting section could use some love in making sections easier to transition too.

Ordered overalls. Stood at the pickup order register for 10 minutes called twice for assistance after going outside. Finally someone came out and brought me the wrong item. Pretty lameMy second online order messed up again! I guess I should never order from here again? I ordered skates for my daughters birthday and they’d ent the working size. The people at the warehouse must not pay any attention to order details. I found the same product online at wal mart for $5 less and they have it in store! Forget academy.

Had everything we were looking for.

Not impressed. I placed an order on line and when I got the email it was ready, went and picked it up. Come to find out that they didnt have what I ordered eventhough it showed as in stock so they replaced the item with another item. Luckily I noticed before it was gifted and had to go back to the store to return it.

Just horrible experience with the staff and felt like my fiancé and myself were being watched and followed! Got to register and the lady kept walking off and saying it would be a moment.. instead of saying while ringing up customer in front, that she needed to step off for a moment! Being in customer service myself for 15+ years, knowing this is unacceptable and we will not be returning to this location. I love to shop where I feel welcomed!

I have found Academy to be a very well run sporting goods store. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The fishing gear selection is fantastic and has more options than other big box sporting goods stores. They offer a wide range of kayaks, boat accessories, baits and rods and reels. I definitely recommend Academy for the fisherman in your family.

Prices are excellent compared to other sporting goods stores.
