This is one of the best places Ive been in a while, I cant recommend this place more and will definitely come back soon. Atmosphere and the music is really good. Loved that the vines are really close by and you can walk around and enjoy a drink in such beautiful place. I would recommend seating outside. The food was amazing, we tried 4 different types of pizzas and each one was better than the one before. Ribs were without any doubt the best ribs Ive had in my entire life. You need to try it out

Absolutely stunning location! The ground were beautiful clean and well kept. We were a little confused about the process thought there were tastings but they now only do them one day a week. However you can get flights of their wine and beer and thats okay by me! Wine and beer were fantastic overall. Always going to be a few that just dont like because we all have different tastes. Service wasnt great. The waiter wasnt very knowledgeable and couldnt really answer a lot of our questions so we needed to speak to a manager about a few things. All in all it was great and we can not wait to visit again!

Very friendly staff. The selection of beer and wine was fantastic. We loved that we could get both types of flights at the same place. The clam chowder was on point. The broth had a great depth of flavor that made it unlike most other chowder. Highly recommend going! Will definitely be going back.

Even on a rainy day, this spot was incredible. The wine selections for both the flight and to purchase (bottles) were truly great and the food was amazing. Definitely recommend the Rhody smoked turkey!

Loved it! A flight of wine is €17..a little pricey BUT the surroundings are BEAUTIFUL! We shared a fig and such pizza. That was small but served its purpose. The gift shop is huge which has all the wines on the menu and much more. Take photos ont the vineyard itself. So beautiful. You can get a to go plastic cup of wine, as well.

Very large space with a gift shop and restaurant. Loved doing the wine tasting while looking out onto the vines. Wines were excellent. 4 wines of your choice in a flight. Highly recommended the merlot if you like dry reds.

The food, wine and location are out of your best written Wine and Country Limited Edition places to visit.The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable of the wines and everything we ordered paired perfectly with the wines we ordered. I shall be visiting this place again really soon.

Great for dinner, lunch, or to hang out overlooking the country-esque vineyards and meadows. Food is upscale, fresh, and delicious while wine and beer made on site have a great variety. Staff are friendly and professional. The venue also easily converts into an event space for any kind of event. Whenever my wife and I are in Newport we make a point to stop by.

UPDATE (10/27/21): I’ve changed my review to five stars after management got back to us regarding the issue with the shipped wine. They were extremely responsive and helpful and we’ve since been sent new bottles. They even included a nice hand-written note in the box with the new wine. Really appreciate the customer service.Previous review-This place is amazing to visit and has awesome wine tastings but I am giving it a two-star review because we recently ordered six bottles of wine that were delivered and half of the bottles were undrinkable. So far, weve opened four bottles.... one was pure vinegar, the second had a hint of vinegar but not as strong as the first bottle, the third bottle was fine, the fourth bottle is full of bubbles so obviously something went wrong with their bottling operation. The last two bottles are TBD. Normally, this alone wouldnt warrant a two-star review but when we reached out to management to alert them to the issue, we never heard back. We wont order wine from here anymore - half of the bottles were undrinkable.

Had an amazing experience at Newport Vineyards. The flights are reasonably priced and there’s many options to choose from. The food selection was plentiful and everything was delicious. The chowder was my favorite dish. Perfectly seasoned accompanied by crispy bread.

Great experience with beautiful views of the vineyard. Several places to choose from to sit relax and enjoy the wine. Huge selection of wines to try and they also have beer to try. The waitstaff seems friendly and accommodating. We had the pleasure of meeting Alex and he was great. We had six people in our party and had a good time. They serve food as well which we didnt know. They make everything fresh on the premises as well. Definitely very pleased with this winery.

We had a great experience at Newport Vineyards. Their COVID restrictions were above and beyond, and we felt safe the whole time. Our waitress was so friendly, and gave great advice in regard to vegetarian offerings, and wine options. The wine flight was very generously portioned. We read reviews that the food wasn’t great but we were thrilled with our pretzel, and both loved our burgers (veggie and regular).

I would not recommend wasting your time visiting this winery. It was the last day of our stay in Newport and we planned our day after reading about the winery online. Their website did not require reservations and stated they were opened all day up until 6:00 pm. We arrived around 2:00 and were told that their system just went down and we could not be seated for wine tasting. I offered to pay cash still No. I asked if we could wait awhile I was told No. I asked to talk to a manager he said they were having staffing issues. So we received 2 different stories. There were opened tables. It was really weird and felt like we were not to.d the truth about what was going on. Don’t post that your opened all day of your not goi g to keep your door opened to visitor’s. It was a waste of our time. Still cannot figure out why we could not be seated amd they were opened for 4 more hours

I stopped here on a Friday afternoon after hearing how great of a destination it was. The view and entire setup did not disappoint! It was beautiful with views of their huge vineyard and a large outdoor seating area. The staff was all very safe and made sure to keep the tables distanced. You could get a flight of 4 and mix and match beer and wine which I thought was very different. Additionally all of their wines but the dessert ones were allowed in the flight. Each wine we had was good and Im glad we had a chance to try it. The food they offered was also very tasty, however it was pretty expensive. We got the cheese board which was $20 and in my opinion had very little in it for the price. But the price for the wine and flights were very reasonable! Overall Id recommend a stop in! Make a reservation though!

We had a great experience. Staff was nice and follow all the protocols need in these days. Had a great tasting 3 of wine and 1 of beer. We had lunch and it was also fantastic. Make your reservation and enjoy. Remember you only have 90 minutes.

This is an ideal place for a wedding, or bridal party to do events; with amazing views and a great location.***It loses 1 star on value.I think that the food prices vs quality could be higher -- the food is delicious, but its not unique. This place is nice but kinda crazy pricing on the wine. wine will show up for $10 looking like a shot. they have 1-2 vegetarian options only!! definitely do not bring a child here they have 0 juices even.

Came here for a wedding on September 11th. Beautiful setting in a field near the vineyards. Afterwards, cocktail hour was on outside patio with waiters with delicious treats. A table inside with more tasty treats. After filling up on scallops wrapped in bacon, lobster risotto, marinated olives, etc. we were called in for dinner. A tasty salad and the best tomato cheese soup Ive ever had! I dont drink alcohol, so I cant comment on the wines and craft beers. I drank water and diet Coke. Main entree was roast pork (whole pig roast) and bbq chicken. Lots of sides. The pork was incredible. Myself and my wife were stuffed. We didnt stick around for coffee and dessert. We saw it set up and it looked fabulous. Excellent venue, staff all amazing and food incredible!!

Beautiful building, lovely grounds, attentive service, extensive menu with a lot of go-tos. Enjoy yourself.Limited vegan and vegetarian options.Beer and wine are perfectly fine. Dont expect your brain to be wrinkled. To-go and walk around the vineyard options available.

Awesome time here! Went to this winery with my mom on Friday and had a great wine tasting… the girl working the wine tasting room (I wish I knew her name) was so friendly and very knowledgeable, it made the overall experience even better. I would definitely recommend coming here, they’ve got it all and it’s a beautiful setting!

Great experience! We just stopped by to do some wine tastings. We had 2 flights of wine one of red wines and one of sweet wines. The waitress was great and recommended the right wines. I highly recommend stopping by. Next time we will definitely try the food!

The food was awful, made reservations only to wait an extra 25 minutes and be seated in a spot we did not reserve, apparently there are 2 menus based off of where you sit (which I don’t quite understand) and we were not seated with the correct menu so we were forced to choose from a menu which did not include anything we were looking for and had planned to order based off of the online menu. The beer and wine were good and the building was beautiful. Wish I could leave a better review

Gorgeous building with some excellent selections of wine and beer.

Beautiful views however the work-staff behind the bar weren’t so pleasant. My family visited on September 27th and were displeased with how we were treated. The man who hosted, and served us behind the bar that day was very rude & stuck up. We came as an excited family of 10 on vacation and felt extremely unwelcome. If you want a better, warmer atmosphere with beyond nice workers I suggest you go to Greenvale Vineyards.

We had a very enjoyable afternoon here. Reservations made easily through OpenTable, was able to make note of a birthday. They had a birthday discount coupon for us upon arrival to use in the gift shop, which we did.There were three of us today, and we each did the flight sampler--4 wines totalling about a glass for $17. We are normally red wine drinkers, but their whites stole the show! We ultimately purchased two bottles of whites we sampled.They are a scratch kitchen with almost everything locally sourced, and everything was amazing! We had the cheeseboard, pretzels, and Mac and cheese (pasta made on sight!). The pretzels were amazing! They came with a horseradish mustard that we asked about purchasing but they dont bottle it. It is very strong and a perfect palate cleanser for sampling wine. The beer cheese was also great. The Mac could have used a little salt, but was enjoyed. The cheeseboard was great too. We loved the blue cheese and strawberry jam the most!We arent sure the waitresss name, but she was fantastic. She was super helpful and answered all our questions and made our first vacation stop very enjoyable. Thank you to our amazing waitress (originally from Mass, now lives in the greater area here past few years, has friends in VT)! We loved you.Our only suggestion for gift area was we were hoping to purchase wine glass identification tags (like earrings you put on your glass to know whose is whose), and you dont have them. You should!! Perfect souvenir for a vineyard.

I have been a patron of the vineyard for the past 24 years. I supported them through the covid restrictions and traveled from MA to purchase cases of wine several times. Prior to this weekend, I had never had a bad experience. They need to train their hosts with better customer service skills. We tried to walk-in this weekend, as their email stated that they had some availability for walk-ins. The people manning their host stand were rude, aloof, and made it seem that we were being completely unreasonable for asking if there was availability. The manager (?) in the background looked at us if we were less than even though we were all dressed appropriately. I completely understand if they couldnt accommodate our party as it was a beautiful day, however, as Ive was taught as a youngster, its not always what you say, but how you say it. Time for some customer service training....these are the people that are the first impression of your business. Currently, not a good impression.

Closed early for a private function. Visited their store. They should put their in-stock list of Taproot Brewery items, with descriptions, out front. Only way to get that info was to get in a check-out line to ask

One of the best experiences I’ve had at a vineyard!!! First, the service was incredible, everyone was so so kind and helpful. Second, the cheese board had the best bleu cheese, Brie, and dried fruit, I’ve ever had. The butternut + gruyere dip was also phenomenal, they even made pita chips with cinnamon and sugar to go with it. I highly recommend this place, please go if you get the chance!!! Also very Covid-safe!!!!

Nice atmosphere and tasty wines. Great place to meet up with friends. The only con is the tasting area-standing room only. A more intimate type of set up for tasting might be better. Brix Restaurant is next door-great food!

We have been a few times. Our wait person was excellent and the management was accommodating after some of the meals were mixed up. Food is always tasty and scenery is beautiful.

Please read, Ive been coming to Newport for over 10 years now. One of my 1st stops when I arrived Was the vineyard. Excellent wine, not the issue. I bought a case of wine which was supposed to make you a life time member, And also have free wine tastings for life. I went back about a month ago an sadly theyre not honoring that anymore! The waitress told me the locals took advantage of it. Well you should honor it for all the out of state people.

The posted hours were 11am-8pm. We arrived at 5:15pm. Hostess said well weve stopped doing tastings for the day. When asked what time they offer tastings she replied, its best to call first we dont really have set tasting hours. WHAT???? What kind of business is this? We left, watched her turn away three groups after us...

Excellent facility with lots of staff. Very busy on the summer weekends, so plan accordingly. The grounds are beautiful. Plan on spending at least two hours. They offer both wine and beer, so there is plenty to taste. There is also food on premises.

They only serve wine out of plastic cups unless you have a reservation. Wild. Didn’t even stay. Who wants to drink wine from a plastic cup?

Great experience at a wine and cheese tasting. Fabulous pairings, generous pours, and absolutely delicious cheeses. Not cheap, but the quality was on par with price so I consider it a great value. Overall a lovely evening. Much more relaxed than other tastings I’ve experienced.

What happened?? My husband and I come here twice a year to get a case of wine. Cru Club members always got free glasses, free tasting and a discount. We got charged for the tasting (see below) told that they don’t give the glasses any longer and after we purchased a case of wine that was markedly more expensive than before they told us that we were now entitled to a tasting. Would’ve been nice if we were told that at the tasting. The previous bartenders were much more personable- I can read the description of the wines myself-don’t need to be told what they are. Really turned off to this place. What a shame - been coming here for years - long before there was a restaurant or an expansion- doubt we will be returning.

I recently attended for a wedding and the food, staff, service and bartenders were all amazing! So impressed by everyone at Newport Vineyards!!! Cannot wait to visit again! 😄

The actual building is awesome and has a cute little shop attached to it. We were sat near the bottling machines after being walked past several empty tables in the main area. Our table was freezing (and I was in a long sleeved fleece shirt and jeans). The food was good but nothing crazy.

Excelente customer service. We had lunch there and food was delicious, I highly recommend the cheese board. The tour to the vineyards was really well explained and the wine tasting was great. Nice ambiance and live music.

Great wine, great food (the cheese platter was wonderful) and the grounds are simply beautiful. We went September 30th, a sunny early Fall day and enjoyed ourselves completely. The staff is very knowledgeable and the prices were on point. We sat at the outside patio, then took a glass of wine to sit on the Adirondack chairs to relax and enjoy sitting among the grapes. I dont drink white wines, but ended up going home with two bottles of their Great White! Highly recommend.

Location was great, service was so-so, lacking personality and attentiveness. After waiting 30 minutes for our main dishes, we were told it was almost ready, only to end up waiting 20 more minutes. Food was decent, but nothing Id specifically go out of my way for.

I have never been so mortified with my winery experience. I stopped in with a friend of mine on our way home from a day in Newport. We went to the store next to the winery to take home a few bottles of wine. When we went to get seated they refused to seat us saying it was past 6:30 when in reality we arrived at 6:15 and Just wanted to grab some wines before we sat. We spoke to the manager and another woman at the bar area and told us there were no tables and we needed to reserve a table online. The people before us had no reservation and were seated. they did nothing to accommodate us and the manager had such an attitude. I was appalled how we were spoken to and I’m giving this review one star because of the nice woman in the store who helped me pick out some wine. I have been to many wineries and had wonderful experiences and would always accommodate but I would never recommend this place and the manager should be ashamed of herself!!! The worst communication skills I have ever seen.

😕I wish I could agree with the other reviewers....But, very disappointing experience- the chowder was unbearably salty - nobody ate the chowder. What was the chef thinking? Chips too salty as well. Too bad, loved the ambiance and of course the wine.

They were pushing to have the tasting sets before to come in to the vineyard... we were there with a kid, wanted to spend a little bit of time outside and maybe to have glass of wine. They didn’t allow to do that before the tasting.

Super cool, nice place for day drinking... wine is excellent

The wine tasting is fun, especially on a nice day when you can enjoy the view of the vineyard and maybe play a game of Jenga or corn hole. My only complaint is the crowd. You may have to wait for a wine tasting or a table. Be prepared to be patient.

Giving 2 stars because the women at the front were very patient and nice; plus the COVID distancing was certainly adhered to - though I hope this review helps someone visiting the area. This is NOT a typical vineyard experience, but a glorified restaurant. We arrived without a reservation (incorrectly) assuming we would be able to buy a bottle of wine and sit outside on the grounds to social distance, as you are able to do at many vineyards throughout New England (plus its COVID why wouldnt you want people outside distanced?). What we didnt realize was that you had to have a reservation to enjoy the vineyard. We had to wait about an hour, but the women in the front were very nice so this way not an issue. We decided to wait since were told that to order wine we needed to order food. Fair enough, we would just order a bottle with lunch. We were sat inside for our 90 min table and ordered food and a flight to determine which wine we liked best. We decided on the Great White and asked for a bottle - this is apparently not allowed at this vineyard. You can only buy bottles in the gift shop and take home, you are unable to buy bottles in the vineyard - this is a 100% a money grab. A glass of Great White is $6 vs. $16 for the entire bottle, not worth it. The food was okay, but certainly this is more of a glorified restaurant with a view, as opposed to an actual functional vineyard. The reason of COVID doesnt make sense since you would think you would want more individuals outside. Anyways, I just hope this helps someone else!

This was an impulse trip. So off we go, unsure what to expect. Upon arrival we were unsure what we wanted to do so we started with the wine tasting. Our host Sarah( she is great by the way) knew how to handle all our questions and or anything we asked her. Only 2 months on the job, WAY TO GO SARAH!!We enjoyed our tasting and decided on some snacks, no disappointment there, food was top notch. Thanks for that.👍👍👍👍 great job all around. Stop in if in the area, well worth it.

A fun place to visit. The wine is very good, the beer is good if you’re a beer drinker which I am not. The food is excellent The servings are small but delicious. . Definitely a place to visit over and over.

Waited here for over an hour for our food and only half of it came. Ended up canceling the rest and went to another place. Waiter never checked on us and we had to go and find her. Then to top it all off after waiting an hour our food was cold and not very good. I would avoid this place if you want anything more than a drink.

Came in for the farmers market. Plentiful bounty for locals and visitors. We grabbed a few snacks from the vendors and had to match it with a flight of beers. Wonderful atmosphere. So much going on in all the different areas.

Wow, this place has come a long way since we visited about 5 years ago! My wife and I decided to do a tasting when we visited today. The tasting room is large and bright with access to the outdoors and adjacent vines. We were able to taste 5 wines - each a generous pour and all delicious. There is also a cafe serving lunch next to the tasting area and a separate dining room open for dinner. Highly recommended.

Great winery with fantastic views! Weve been to Napa Valley and Willamette Valley multiple times over the years and some of these wines were certainly on par with some of the greats on the West coast. The white merlot was particularly good as was the Landot Noir, both has great flavors! It was also super enjoyable to walk outside the tasting room and grab a table overlooking the vineyard!

Cozy place

I enjoy going to Newport Vineyard. The staff is very helpful and the ambiance is usually nice and festive specially outside. It’s definitely a little touristy and it can get crowded, you definitely need a reservation.

HIGHLY disappointed. Made a reservation, table wasn’t ready. Once we sat down, the food took over an hour to arrive, yet half of the food didn’t arrive at all. Service was poor-waitress never came to check on us. Very disappointed in experience.
