The BEST vehicle buying experience EVER! Thank you Mike, Kevin and Mike for not only a great deal on an awesome vehicle but for a no hassle and FUN experience. You get STELLAR service from these guys and fabulous restaurant tipsπShout out to Matt at The Brick Alley! We will definitely be back to both places!
Went in for a oil change and tire rotation. Being skeptical I marked my two front tires before the appointment. I was very adamant about my tire rotation. Brought the truck in they told me they would call me as soon as it was done. First off they did not call me when it was completed and when I looked at my truck the two front tires that I marked were still in the same place. Therefore they did not rotate my tires. Went inside they proceeded to charge me from my tire rotation and I told him the service was not done they called The mechanic and he confirmed that he rotated the tires and lied. Be careful and always check your tires oil filter and how dirty your oil is before you go. They are scam artists and liars!
Friendly staff, however I have paid them for services twice and still havent gotten anything in return. First it was to program a key they said they could and then couldnt but still charged me. Next it was a stop start feature on our van wasnt working. They charge me for a diagnosis, told me it was the battery, wanted to overcharge for a new battery and labor so I did it myself. When that didnt fix it, they said they could refresh the system for another charge the same as the diagnostic fee but cant guarantee that would work. It seems to be one thing after another with these people and they are not getting another cent from me. Ill be going to another dealer if I have to
Just purchased a used Jeep Liberty - nice clean car. Charlie and Kevin were really helpful in getting a few things cleaned up on the car. Pickup service was outstanding. Also, these folks are the most Covid-conscious! Great safety protocols. We never felt crowded. This could be a long-term relationship. Will stop there first for our next car.
I got a good deal when I trade in my Ford Explorer Sport. Charlie made it quick and easy. No changes on numbers discussed thru txt msgs. no pushing or headache. Everything was straight forward with honesty. This made me to drive all the way from providence. I definitely recommend these guys
Bought brand new truck with a cracked blocked and they refused to look further told me to leave when i was upset that they refused to fix....... do not buy from these scum bags ...... and yes thats what they are....... i went to two other dealerships and they all agreed that it was a cracked block . Please dont buy from them trust me totally unprofessional........
Avoid this place. We bought a SUV from here. The temporary plates expired and we had not received our permanent plates. I called the manager. He belittled and demeaned me like no one has ever done in my life before. After a moment he said he was busy, when I said they were quick to take my deposit, he said he was happy to take my money and just hung up on me. My sister and her husband were looking online at their truck. Thinking about drive up and getting one. Thanks heaven this happened before they could get mix up with this place. The most shocking thing was that this person is a manager. what could be expected of the other staff members?
Today, my girlfriend, her 18 y/o daughter and I arrived at Newport Jeep with the idea of buying her daughter a car! We did show up without an appointment but the gentleman said that if we didnβt mind possibly waiting for a few minutes that we could enter and help us out!We told him what vehicle that we were interested in test driving, we did inform him that the rear tire appear to need some air, he quickly went out and brought the car around and we were off on our test drive! First off, the turn signal would not stay up for right hand turn, secondly, it has a severe rattle coming from the right front end(ball joint)? So, we decided to quickly return the vehicle and see if we could take another car out for a test drive! When we returned, he, sorry, I donβt think that he even introduced himself, asked us βlike right now?β We looked at each other like what? Yes right now! He didnβt even ask what was wrong with the test drive on the first car, so he said that basically because we didnβt have an appointment the this was going to be a problem and that, get ready, βthat little test drive just cost us $100 because we have to disinfect the car!β Are you kidding me? First off, when we arrived, he should have said that we needed an appointment and we would have been fine with that but to start a process and abruptly shut it down was ridiculous!!! Apparently Newport Jeep doesnβt need the Cash business! I will now purchase her vehicle elsewhere and will no longer bring my Jeep Wrangler or Dodge Ram in for servicing! Unbelievable π€¦ββοΈ
I had such a great experience at Newport CDJR!!! I am 21 years old and went in to finance my first car (a trade-in 2017 Corolla), and Neil and everyone was so welcoming and helpful! I ended up getting a great deal, and hope to have this car for a long time. Altogether, I only spent about 4 hours there between 2 days, while at other dealers its been dragged out to 4-5 hours PER day. I would definitely recommend them to all, they made the process easy!
We recently purchased a truck from Newport and had the privilege of dealing with both Kevin the Sales Manager and the owner Kevin as well. Yes, we are in Hawaii and bought a Ram from RI. It was the only one I could find nationally that met our specifications. The sales process was outstanding. The follow through and customer service after the sale was the most impressive. I would 100% recommend Newport and would buy from them again in the future. The truck is currently in route to Hawaii. Thanks Newport for setting the bar for excellent customer service! Aloha from Hawaii!
Awful. I walked in ready to buy with their online offer listed on the website. First of all I was told to wait because the salesman was busy. Then I was given the runaround on the listed price and lease deal. They told me maybe they could get an offer ready if I wanted to wait around a couple of hours. I left went up the street to Toyota and had a deal done and signed within an hour! Their loss I guess...
About mid-August I was searching for a car that I could afford and found a 2013 Ford Fusion SE with the sport package (so a small factory turbo, rear wing, and 5-spoke alloy rims) over at Newport Chrysler. It was listed for a price I could afford and after trading in my 2008 Nissan Frontier it was even more affordable, I actually got a decent trade value for it. So when I test drove the Fusion I noticed a clacking or rattling noise coming from the rear end and some instability on sharp curves. I ask my salesman, Charlie Leonard, about the noises and instability and he claims there is nothing wrong with the car, passed our inspection 100%. Ok, so there should be nothing wrong with the car, but Im still suspicious. So I make a deal with Charlie and he agrees to it: if there is anything wrong with the Fusion and it needs repairs, hell have my local family mechanic paid to work on it since I live about 90 minutes away from the dealership. Charlie said they do this sort of thing all the time. The deal that Charlie agreed to is the reason I bought the car, because Flood Ford is much more reputable and has nicer Fusions for not too much more, but this one fit the ticket. Come to find out after a safety inspection my car needs 3200 dollars worth of work just to make it safe to drive! Passed inspection? My butt! It needs shocks, control arms, rims, brakes, the hood is bent, the underside protection shields are all heavily damaged or missing, and I include pictures of the reports and some of the damages that are easy to get pictures of. The shocks have leaked and are empty (that is the rattling noise, and you can kinda see the leaked fluid marks), the control arms are maxed out and the rims are bent (2.6 degrees!) so they cannot be properly angled anyway, and the front brakes are in horrible condition. I contacted Charlie about it and his agreement to have my family mechanic paid for repairs and he says quote a couple hundred bucks here or there not 3100. The car passed inspection 100%... ...Ive been doing this 29yrs and have an impeccable reputation I would never agree to what you are asking. EVER. I am now stuck daily driving a car that is unsafe to drive and cannot afford to fix it right away, and Charlie wont even send me the spare key to my Fusion like he said he would. I am deeply disappointed in Charlie and the dealership. They are not people of their word and lie through the skin of their teeth. DONT trust what they say.
Super easy experience. Called about the Jeep I wanted, got a great deal, and drove to Newport to pick up the next day. I dealt with Kevin and Kevin and am very grateful for their professionalism and help throughout my process. I Love my new Jeep!
Just took delivery of our 2021 Jeep Wrangler. It is the third Jeep we have bought at Newport NCDJR and our third outstanding buying experience. Kevin Clare made it easy; no haggling on price and fast delivery of the exact car we wanted. Also, the Service Department is excellent.
2020 ram 2500 meg cab diesel, I found the truck online and quickly called and I was put in touch with Matt Wood, He in which made this purchase very easy considering covid! Everything was done over the phone and online. Ill be back again to deal with Matt! Good price and no annoying salesman calls every hour! Thanks Again
Newport Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram is the way to go for all your new and used cars. I traveled here from New York to get a specialty truck and they worked with me to secure financing and held the vehicle until I was available to make the trip out. Matt and Kevin were especially helpful during my car buying journey. Kevin the owner also participated in the deal hands on. Itβs very rare these days to find an owner that actually works in their own business! Thank you, guys.
I just bought a new Jeep Compass here and traded in my old BMW. This is my first Jeep and I absolutely love it! But more than that I had the best experience buying this car during our pandemic. I called ahead and made an appointment to test drive two cars and when I arrived they were ready waiting and warmed up. I worked with Kevin (the owner) and Charlie who answered all my tech questions. Once I test drove and decided which car I wanted, Kevin and I came up with the amount of loan and trade in. He said go have lunch and Iβll get back with you. 45 mins later he texted with my options for loan terms. I picked the one that was best for me and he said great, come by at 4 and Iβll have everything ready. I arrived at 4 and all the paperwork was ready for signing and Charlie guided me through all the details on the car functions and before you know it I was driving home to celebrate. This was the nicest group of people and the experience was so smooth I couldnβt believe I was buying a car that I really wanted and getting the terms that were best for me. Iβd give this dealership and the staff 10 stars if I could! They go above and beyond and made the whole process not like other dealers I had gone to in the days before. They now have a new repeat client!! βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈπ
Hands down the best experience we have had purchasing a new Ram! We worked with Kevin, who provided a fair trade appraisal and had numbers together in 15 minutes! I recommend the dealership to all of our Jeep/Ram friends!
I bought a new vehicle process is pretty simple.
These guys made buying a vehicle so easy and quick. No double talk, no games, everyone involved worked hard to give us the best deal possible.Ive never enjoyed buying cars, but Charlie and the guys changed that!
If these guys treat you like they treated me and my family you will be in good hands. Talked with John on the phone about purchasing my Jeep renegade deserthawk. He made sure to offer me the best price over the phone since I lived an hour away and didnβt waste my time. Larry did the sales when I got there and immediately took me for a test drive and helped me fill out all the paperwork. Scott in financing will take care of you and will explain line by line what your signing for.
Good people. No nonsense, willing to work with you. Would recommend. Salesman Matthew and the whole team were very friendly
Hands down the worst place to purchase a car, service completely sucks canβt fix a car to save their lives
Went to this dealership to test drive a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I was communicating with a saleswomen who unknown to me, worked in an office in North Carolina and not in Newport. I spoke to her about how the monthly payment would be too much and she told me she could reconfigure some numbers and get back to me, which she never did.I still went to test drive it, thinking I would meet this women. I fell in love with this jeep but apparently the sales man, Rich Toledo, was under the impression I was buying it on the spot, which I never stated. I told him I was just looking and was also open to the option of leasing. He told me he needed to go talk to his manager and when he returned his whole attitude changed. Instead of taking it upon himself to show me some lease options, he began to belittle me. He began to tell me it was not only a waste of their time that I came in, but also a waste of their money, because apparently it cost 200 dollars to clean the car to test drive (due to covid) which I did not know. He then continued to tell me I would never get approved for financing a car, let alone leasing one. But he did not know anything about my financial situation because he never asked. He assumed that because I am a female, I probably knew nothing about cars. I never have been treated like this anywhere and it was clear all they cared about was money. If he took the time to show me other options that fit my price range, I would be willing to give this dealership my business. After this experience I will never be giving this dealership my business.I am a first time car buyer and Rich Toledo took the excitement out of it in 2 minutes. A 30 minute test drive was completely ruined by the unprofessional and almost childlike reaction, after he found out I was just looking.
I have purchased 6 vehicles from NCDJR in the past year all Caravans and Voyagers for our fleet of vehicles at the James L. Maher center. The management staff of Kevin Clare and Kevin Ward as well as salesmen Neal Beldan and Charlie Leonard are beyond fantastic. They were always very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and great to work with. The finance dept. was also great allowing us to complete purchase paperwork very quickly and efficiently. Overall always a great experience at NCDJR.
Excellent customer service. I was very pleased with my entire experience. My salesman Neal, and Kevin the manager were honest, helpful and kind. I would absolutely do business with their team again!!
For the past 20 years I have never walked away from a dealership feeling like it was a positive experience, until I came to Newport Jeep. Rich and crew were fantastic. I had a quick, no BS buying experience for the purchase of my new Jeep Gladiator. Even after the sale they were very accommodating and always quick to return my calls. I will most definitely return in the future and would recommend them to anyone.
Great people to work with!
Beware when using Newport Jeep for service work. After a routine service, they pointed out things that needed to be serviced when they indeed did not. I sensed issues, so I went and took a look (versus my wife, who dropped the Jeep off). I pointed one of the items out to the service manager and he agreed. Then, they quoted a price and then changed it when we were billed. They also ordered the incorrect part several times and failed to follow-up on a back ordered part. Finally, after experiencing so many issues, they agreed to only charge a portion of labor for the backordered part, but then again, upped the price. We are fairly new to the area so figured wed try out the closer shop, but that was a BIG mistake. I highly recommend avoiding them and take your business to Paul Baileys Jeep in NK, where weve experienced wonderful service.
Matthew was extremely helpful and patient during the purchase process. Even offered to help us out on his day off! The whole dealership was very conscientious regarding COVID-19 safeguards as well.
Excellent experience at this dealership! Worked with Charlie who was really helpful and easy to work with and everything went smoothly including taking my trade. There were no last minute change ups or surprises! They made the process seamless and totally COVID friendly. Love my Jeep and loved the great customer service from this dealership, Definitely recommend.
Charlie Leonard is the best salesman. Despite the dealership being by appointment only and we didnt have an appointment and drove over an hour to buy a vehicle, he went out of his way to help me purchase new vehicle and drive away the same day. Ask for Charlie and tell him Nikki sent you!
By far the best and easiest transaction I have had leasing a vehicle. Sales rep and manager treated us with respect, listened to our needs and worked with us on getting into the perfect Jeep for us. Highly recommend this location for your next purchase.
Work related and in the end they able to resolve the problem in a round about way.... satisfied the need.... solved the problem with my suggested work around.... lemmings need to stand up and show the higher ups the wrongs and errors of their rules.
Matt went over and beyond to help me get into my dream car. Great experience all around.
So, we absolutely love our truck, the gentleman that handled all of the sales documentation was fantastic, great personality (would love to actually mention his name, but I dont remember it and cant make it out from his signatures) and overall the salesman we dealt with, Rich, was great, but we are very disappointed with a couple of things.....1- previous owner was supposed to send in second key and we were told that if they were unable to get the other key that we would be given one...shame on us for taking someones word and not getting it in writing, because now were being told that the previous owner lost it and its on us to get one. I was advised to contact Ford directly.....well, guess what, I did call Ford and was informed that the dealership should be providing us with one.......this should be fun! All we want is a spare key for our truck, I wouldnt think providing a customer with that would be such a big deal when theyre spending over $50k on a vehicle!2- In my opinion, when you sell someone a vehicle you would want to be sure that you are giving them something that they can be confident driving, something that youve gone through and took care of basic essentials....nope....weve owned the truck for a little over 2-months and I ended up stranded on vaca with my kids and have to have the truck towed an hour away from where we were staying to find out that the batteries in the truck were the original batteries, one of which was boiling on the inside and if I had continued to drive the truck the battery would have basically blown up. Now, I have to pay for two new batteries, because the truck is a diesel and has two batteries, in addition to the diagnostic fee, labor fee and cost of a rental vehicle. You expect cosmetic defects when you purchase a pre-owned vehicle and we were told that we were responsible for replacing the cracked plastic piece over light on one of the side mirrors as well as the little plastic cap that goes over the threaded door lock mechanisms, but I feel that the key and battery situation are unacceptable!!
I just bought a Jeep Wrangler at this Jeep dealership and the service and experience was great! The process was quick, thorough and professional. They did a great job abiding to the social distancing rules and made sure we were comfortable. Highly recommend this dealership!
We had a pleasant buying experience at Newport Jeep Ram.Did research on the model we wanted and knew prices on that vehicle and our trade.Charlie was our salesmen and the transaction was no hassle or pressure.Very easy going and friendly dealership.I have purchased a lot of vehicles in my time and this was one of the best that I remember. I will definitely recommend them to my friends and family.Happy Motoring, Frank.
Love my new Doge Durango! Charlie, Barbara, Kevin and everyone at Newport Dodge were so wonderful to me and my children and I could not be happier! The whole experience was quick and easy and they were all extremely helpful! Thanks to my good friend, Bill for the referral. Definitely a very happy customer!
Unfortunately, this is the first 1 star review I have ever left a company. What is the reasoning? Bad business practice. My fiancΓ© has used this service shop for the past 3 years. Yesterday, he brought his truck there to inquire about a check engine light. He knew he had an extended warrantee, in which, check engine light repairs are covered - however, he made it clear that he wanted confirmation regarding the coverage of said repair.Phone calls were exchanged between my fiancΓ© and an employee from the service department. The employee informed my fiancΓ© that he did not have a warrantee under the dealership, however, his warrantee may be an after-market one. This, in fact, was true. My fiancΓ© gave the employee the name of the protection company along with a phone number to confirm whether or not he was covered. After 15 minutes - without a phone call back from the employee, my fiancΓ© decided to call back to double check that everything was going smoothly. The employee then informed him that he was NOT covered - he WOULD be covered if he brought his truck to a different, specific shop stated by the protection company. When my fiancΓ© said he therefore would not want them to perform the work, he was basically told βtoo late, we started working on your truck alreadyβ. He was also told they would not release his truck to him unless he paid the total invoice of nearly $450!This kind of business practice is immoral and shady. The employee showed zero empathy, clearly had poor communication skills, and saw nothing wrong with the situation. During these difficult times of COVID-19 with millions of Americans struggling financially, this establishment chose to make a quick buck instead of doing the right thing.Sadly, we will never give this establishment our business again after 3 years of doing so.
Beware when buying a used truck or car from this place. They sold me a 2012 GMC Sierra with a rotted out frame, bad front end and the whole 4WD system needed to be replaced. The amazing thing was they passed the truck with a RI sticker. Unbelievable how bad this truck ended being mechanically.
Easy transaction. Kevin and Charlie helped me get out of my old lease and into a new model with lower payments. Both were knowledgeable, honest and ultimately gave me a really great deal. Highly recommended.
Neal Belden did a great job helping me find the Ram 1500 I wanted. He was also very responsive and knowledgeable and great to work with. The price was fair for the purchase and trade in. The entire staff was professional and took care of all the details efficiently. Overall an easy buying experience.
Class act all the way! I was in the market for a new Jeep Gladiator & decided to take a trip over to Newport Chrysler Jeep. I really appreciated that the salesman, Rich Toledo, answered all of my questions while giving me my space while I looked around. Keith & Rich were able to secure my dream Jeep & gave me a great price. Thank you so very much. Great Job!
The service manager, Tommy Nasser, was extremely helpful and patient when I went in for latest repair. He not only explained to me what was needed and why, but he showed me the old parts and where they had failed. Additionally, he was able to resurface my brake rotors which saved me a good amount of money compared to another quote I had gotten. I will continue to come here and would recommend it to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to service their car.
They are not up front with their service pricing. My wife dropped off our Jeep to have them look at our rear hatch that was displaying it wasnβt latched when it actually was - and was setting off the car alarm. While it was there she asked them if they could look at why the fan was making a noise, and let them know our key fob battery had been dying quickly lately. While we know there is βdiagnostic feeβ they never told her there was one, how much it was, or that they would charge $120 for each thing they looked at.They called her back and told her that we needed a new key, a new fan, and a new latch. And that it would cost $250, $480, and $275 respectively. We didnβt do the key because it didnβt make sense that we needed a new key, didnβt want to spend $480 on a fan right before we put it into long term storage for two years before we PCSed to Japan, and decided to fix the latch.I went and picked up the car and the total came to $380. I looked at the bill and they charged a separate diagnostic fee of $120 to look at the fan that would of decreased the replacement cost of the fan by the diagnostic fee. Couple things here 1) if they told us it was going to cost $120 diagnostic for each discrepancy we would of never had them look at it and 2) if we would of known we already dropped $120 to look at the fan, we may have actually fixed it.Lastly I looked at the key fob description and it didnβt say we βneeded a new key fobβ, it said to troubleshoot we need to start with ordering a new key fob. They never asked us if we had a second one or told us that in order to troubleshoot they needed a different key fob - just that we βneededβ one.I talked to them in service about how they werenβt upfront with their service prices and that if they had we would of made different decisions and then called them after talking to my wife to see if she was told about the fees, that the fan cost included a fee we were paying already, and if they said we βneededβ a new key fob or if that was a troubleshooting step. She wasnβt notified of any of that and was told she needed a new key.Theyβre response to me was βsorry you feel that way but those are our policiesβ. Thatβs fine those are policies but tell your customers before the fact. Not after the fact.
Hold on to your money and RUN!I was looking for a new truck and I found exactly what I wanted available here at this dealer, I immediately reached out and spoke with a salesmen who seemed to be helpful at the time..I put a deposit down on the truck to make sure the truck was mine! Deposit paid on that vin! All I had to do was wait for the truck to be ready right? WRONG. I tried to get a hold of the salesmen for days with no luck and not only did they take my deposit they THEN got the truck and sold it out right from under me...Best part is I had to find out myself by calling multiple times to ask the status of the truck just for a salesperson to finally answer to tell me We sold your truck. They sold a truck with a deposit on it. Terrible business practice.
Just bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee in and out all around excellent experience
Had a great experience with this dealership during these tough times. Everyone was in great spirits and Angela Adcock assisted me daily as we had negotiated a deal that I could not pass up! Then I met with Neal Belden and he was very helpful with the purchase of my Wrangler and they had me on the road with my new vehicle in minutes! Overall, very satisfied with the customer service/outcome.
Worked with Rich in sales. He got me to the exact vehicle I wanted (hard to find) and at a price that was less than other dealerships within 50 miles. Finance was quick and professional. Even my trade value was better than I expected. Overall 5-star experience.
Emailed Newport CJDR about a 2019 left over. Submitted an offer and credit info on their site. Was sorely disappointed with their response. Waiting days to get back to me and only giving me half the story. Pulled my credit which is high enough to get tier 1 financing and then was told when I called back 2 days later that even though their Website had stated 0% on the truck I was looking at that it wasnβt available on that one. Thanks for wasting my time.
Charlie Leonard was a great help!!! Thanks for helping me purchase my Jeep Gladiator, its an awesome truck. Charlie treated me like a person instead of a target. He knew the minute we started talking that i had a plan that was well researched. Instead of working against me he supported my choices, ran with it and now i am a happy customer. The dealership overall has been super helpful with the paper work/financing and with obtaining accessories for a vehicle that was literally fresh off the rails of the manufacturing line. I highly recommend Charlie Leonard at Newport Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram if you are looking to purchase a Jeep Gladiator. Charlies not one to sell you a song, rather hell get you what you want. Thanks Charlie, you and your team are alright in my book.. ill be back as more accessories are made for the Gladiator :-)
I needed some work done to my Chrysler through my extended warranty company and Brian Davis in the Service Dept. went above and beyond for me!! Here handled EVERYTHING and made so painless and effortless on my part; I will definitely use them all the time and recommend them to anyone who likes to be treated with respect, dignity and like your a person....not a number or a car!!!!! Thank you Brianπ
Great place and really nice people that do the job right first time
I recently bought a 2015 Jeep Compass with the help of Ken Jackson! He was super nice and helpful, and made sure I found the car that was the best fit for me. He answered all of my questions, let me test drive a few cars and was never pushy. Ken called me as soon as a new car that fit my price range was brought on to the lot! Scott in the finance department was incredibly helpful, and made sure all of my questions were answered, in addition to giving me advice for financing my car. This was my first time car shopping for myself and they made it very easy, and fun. I highly recommend!
Service department and the owner of the company have VERY RUDE customer services skills. I am taking my car service problems elsewhere plus reported them to state inspection officers
The service team at this dealership is fantastic. Tommy and Brian and all the rest of the service crew took good care of me and both of my non jeep vehicles for service issues. I never wouldve thought to bring both of my Land Rovers to them for service but a friend suggested it and Im so glad I did! I felt very confident that all my vehicles needs were being addressed. Thank you so much Newport Jeep!
Here are my tips for consumers:-I would recommend staying away from this place, or at least the service center.-Do NOT get your vehicle service here unless they explain ALL of the upfront charges as well as anything that may be charged along the way.-These guys do not have a good rating for good reason. The sales folks were very pleasant and I have absolutely nothing negative to say about them whatsoever, but the service center does not live up to itβs own name. If how they treated us counts as βserviceβ, Iβd rather get shot square in the chest.-Know your rights and obligations as a consumer when dealing with dealers.-Women unless you are very familiar with vehicles and dealing with service shops, donβt go alone. Take someone with you who does so you donβt get screwed over and then be told itβs your fault. Here are my tips for the service center:-Tommy, put on a face thatβs anything but pissed off looking and try and listen to what people are telling you. I understand you probably have to deal with a lot of angry or manipulative people, but we certainly arenβt that and you treated us like we were. I couldnβt even suggest to you that the sky is blue without you interrupting me and telling me we are taking advantage of you. Learn better conversation skills, please.-Please make sure that your customers are fully aware of the costs before signing anything and donβt throw a tablet in their face and ask them to sign without questions.-Call customers when their vehicle is ready and do NOT fix anything without authorization. I have a feeling thatβs why you guys didnβt give too much of a fight with us because you did something you werenβt supposed to.
Honestly Im not one to write reviews good or bad, in fact this is my first one which clearly says something. I went there looking for a specific jeep, which unfortunately sold that morning, no big deal. I was also looking into another. While the man who I dealt with was very pleasant the service was AWFUL! I asked multiple times to test drive the jeep and to see inside. For some reason these requests went completely ignored. He took us outside to basically window shop. Which I can do online. He was stuck on the jeep that was sold that morning and couldnt get that we were also interested in another. He stated that he had another client coming in shortly, which was totally fine, so I asked if someone else could assist us, and he stated that person had someone coming in also. It was the worst experience I have ever had and I was extremely disappointed. I feel the service could have been a lot better, like I said the man we dealt with was very pleasant.
Easiest transaction I have had in purchasing a new vehicle. My salesperson, Kenny Jackson was great, manager Kevin was a pleasure to deal with in getting the price right, service staff was fast end efficient in getting truck ready to go!
Excellent dealership for sales! They are honest and straightforward with their pricing.
Very good. Excellent service, friendly staff. Place is clean well kept. Kevin, the owner is very hands on! Good presence and there to help. I highly recommend Newport Jeep.
I have been a long time customer of Newport Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler for many years including using their service and body shop. I have always been treated fairly and I know I have gotten great deals on the cars I have purchased. The Service Department team is always pleasant to deal with and accommodating with a loaner car if available. I highly recommend Newport Jeep for sales, service or body shop.
The best Chrysler dealer I dealt with while looking for my Promaster. Very personable, low pressure and accommodating. The only dealer I didnt feel like I was getting the run around with. Very happy.
I had been seeking out a used Jeep for weeks and these guys happen to have a selection of the 04 model I was looking for at a fair price, good mileage and, overall, in excellent shape. The process was seamless from start to finish and, despite the extra steps to obtain out-of-state title/reg, I drove off with the car 4 days after purchasing it (side note: John went above and beyond and picked me up at the ferry so I could hitch a ride to the dealer to pick up it up). All parties involved -- sales, finance, service etc. -- were professional, committed and efficient - I highly recommend Newport CDJR and will definitely be back!
Such a great experience leasing my first Jeep! Attentive and knowledgeable sales staff, considerate financing team and easy process. I will definitely be sticking with Jeep, and will always go back to this dealership. My family purchased/leased two new cars in September, and with the other dealership I spent a week dealing with the logistics of the paperwork, registration and financing. With this dealership it was smooth sailing and I was driving my new car within 24 hours. Who knew there could be such a difference? Thanks Newport Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram!
Awesome friendly staff. Stayed true to their word. Weβll be back for sure
I have purchased many cars during my life. My experiences with various dealerships over time were good and bad. My experience at Clare is, by far, the best experience of them all. There was no hassle, no hard sales, no multiple trips to the podium, and no delays... I walked into the showroom and then, less than 3-hours later, drove my new car away. You cannot get better than that. All the people that I dealt with were very pleasant and courteous. When its time for a new vehicle down the road, Clare will be my first stop.
I called to get information about trading in my lease and purchasing a different vehicle. I have never gone through this process, and asked for how to go about it. The man I spoke to was VERY rude, making comments like, well what do you want to know?, after I had already explained to him what I was looking to do. He then went on to almost unsell the the car I wanted, saying I better come drive it first. Um....ok... I just want to know the process I have to go through to get into a new car after a lease! Will be looking to speak with his manager at some point and hopefully get the info I called looking for.
I had a great experience getting body repair done at Newport Jeep. Everyone I dealt with was extremely professional and courteous. They updated me every step of the way as we were waiting for parts, adjusters, etc. and everything that was quoted was done to perfection at the exact price. The work itself was flawless, I can honestly say that when I left Newport Jeep my car looked better than the first day we drove it off the lot.
Dropped my car off Wednesday morning for body work and got it back on Friday morning. For less than the estimate. Shiny and clean as well.
Had a great experience with Jeff McCabe. I cannot recommend him enough. We came in, they had the car ready to go and it was seamless. They met another dealerβs number on my trade in and we bought my 2017 Impreza that night. The next morning, they had it ready to go and I was in and out with Chris quite quickly. Great experience overall. I cannot recommend enough.
Amazing customer service in the service department! Everyone is extremely helpful and Pleasant to deal with!! I have been a customer for a couple years now and will continue to be for a long time! Top notch dealership !
Amazing & EasyMike Scallin made this transaction happen with absolutely no stress, Being a single mother, time is of the essence. My time was not wasted and I was able to acquire my vehicle of choice for the price I wanted after a short visit. There were no ridiculous games played which I absolutely appreciated. I would of course recommend this dealership and Mike to anyone who mentions needing a car! Thank you!
The service department is better at telling stories than fixing cars. The service tech was insisting to me that I bought a used car 4 years ago, when in fact I drove it off of their lot with 9 miles on the odometer just so he didnt have to honor a warrantee. The shop manager said there wasnt anything he could do.
My experience when purchasing a 2017 Grand Cherokee was great. Sales staff was very friendly, and they are very open to making a great deal. Highly recommend this dealership. Service department was also top-notch...fit me in quickly and extremely professional.
My family has purchased more than 10 cars from them over the years and they have been fair and friendly with each transaction. Their service department has maintained our new cars and kept the old ones breathing as long as we needed them. Very knowledgeable, very accommodating. I recommend them to everyone in the area.
I highly recommend Newport Jeep if you are looking for a truly transparent car buying experience. I got a great deal and Seanhad me in and out of the dealership in my new jeep in just over a hour!!!Thank you Sean, and the rest of the team!!!!
Brought my 2017 Dodge Ram 3500 in to have 2 recalls fixed. Work completed, But, after 2 weeks my vehicle didnt start due not having any power. Brought the vehicle back and the service department claims it was due to not driving the vehicle for 2 weeks. Ive had the vehicle sit for months with no issues. The vehicle has every cold weather option available. Its less than a year old with 2 heavy duty batteries and never had electrical problems until work was done by this dealership. I also noticed some scratches after they serviced it. Didnt bother asking about them. This service department is a joke. Rather than taking responsibility for faulty work they blame it on the customer. Now I have to bring my vehicle to another dealership to check their work. I should of listened to all the negative reviews posted but this dealership was closer. DO NOT TRUST YOUR VEHICLE with this dealership! Well worth your time to drive to another dealer. You will probably have more problems than you started with. This dealership doesnt even rate 1 Star.
My family has purchased three vehicles from Clare. All three purchases were painless and easy. The sales team is great. Our experience with their service department has been less than satisfactory. We purchased pre-owned vehicles, the first car we couldnβt get ahead: there was always something wrong with it, always needed somethingβit was lower mileage, economy car that was in great shape, had good ratings for reliability, lower cost of ownership, etc. At one point we were questioned whether or not the vehicle was being properly maintained because we had not been coming to them for regular maintenance, opting to use our own mechanic and only returning to the dealership for major, warranty issues. After a year of constant repairs and problems we wrote the car off as a dudβand negotiated into something else. One of the βrulesβ being that we had to come to Clare for all maintenance. So far so good on the second car.Our third vehicle from Clare was five years old at the time of purchase, and had about 90K on it. However, the car has great ratings as far as cost of ownership and reliability, and I have some friends that have the same vehicle with many more miles 250k. So the mileage thing wasnβt a concern. Itβs very affordable to run, and seemed like an awesome car. 3,000 after purchasing it, it needed new brakes, and after driving it for 4,000 miles it needed a new transmission.I have an extended warranty which is the only thing that has saved me in this situation. Getting a new transmission was a three week ordeal with many false claims that the car was βall fixedβ only to drive two minutes down the road and determine that the car was in the same or worse condition. They swear they road tested the car though. Furthermore, I was charged for things that should have been covered under the warranty and this most recent time I had to call Chrysler because they wanted to charge me my warrantyβs deductible a third time---even though I had read the warranty paperwork that stated I wouldnβt be charged for the repair of the same issue when multiple repairs are attempted within 30 days.I donβt care much about superficial things, dings and dents and scratches on my car donβt bother me. Itβs important to me that the vehicle run. With that said, nothing screams sloppy or rush job when cardboard with dirty, greasy foot prints is left in the passenger side of the vehicle, greasy footprints are found on the driverβs side, and even more exciting greasy foot prints found in the back seat for the customer to find.I would not recommend purchasing a used car from Clare without the extended warranty. I do not recommend using their service department for anything. They give you loaner cars with no fuel in them, they donβt know or understand the warranty programs (warranty was purchased at the dealership by the way), they belittle you when you question them, they donβt apologize for the multiple trips to have the same issue fixed, etc. They had my car this last time for over a week and did nothing to update me on its status/progress when they were expecting the parts to come in, etc.
Decided to get into a new Jeep and they made it very simple and easy to make happen, got exactly what I wanted for what I wanted, made things real easy especially with the virus and being cautious about that
Donβt do business with this dealer. Terrible service and no follow-up on car sales. Was told by the salesmen and by the internet manager they would βcheck with the GM and get back to meβ. No response from either. Check out their reviews. Feels like and showroom looks like a car dealer from the 80βs. They under value your trade and donβt want to negotiate on the price. Drive off island and get a better deal on a new or used Chrysler/Jeep/Ram.
Their service department is top notch! Always quick and ready for me with or without an appointment. They do multi-point check up my vehicles and their prices are very competitive. Their service manager is the best on the island and I wouldnt trust anyone else with my cars.
Always feel very welcome when I walk in the door! Tommy and Stephanie have helped educate me about maintaining the car and have come up with a good game plan to help keep the life of my car(2008 surburban) going. They do their best to get the car in and out as quickly as possible too.
I dont even want to give them one star....4 years ago I went in when I was looking to buy a Wrangler and help a local business, but their salespeople couldnt be bothered so bought off island.Had used them previously for warranty work and something was always forgotten.Recently had to bring in for major repair and decided to treat my Jeep with a full detailing....was told the Jeep would be finished after hours and locked. When I picked Jeep up completely unlocked with visible key...and Clare is not in great neighborhood. Also, discovered that spare keys and 3 towels were missing. While the towels turned there up the keys didnt...service department was found very deficient...rude...
I recently decided I need a newer car.. when i received a call from John i was excited to be looking at what could be my new car.... They waited for me to get there, test stayed open after hours to help me out. .. Charlie was great, great personality, very down to earth... and Scott was awesome he really helped me out when i thought i couldnt get it. . Thanks to them all I am the proud owner of my Rav 4... Thank you guys. . if you want a new car Newport Chrysler and Dodge is the place to go. .. Nery C.
I called there twice and nobody answered the phone. I guess they dont care if they lose my business or not!! Sad but true! Katie called me and when I tried to call back I got nothing! So I will take my business elsewhere! Good luck!
It is refreshing to work with a business that understands what it means to take care of their customers. Not only the best car buying experience Ive ever had, but Laura and the team in the service department go above and beyond to make taking care of you car quick & easy.
Easiest car buying experience I have ever encountered. In an out in two hours with my new car. Thank you Kevin for the tremendous service and excellent car buying experience.
Condescending service department. Took my 1 year old truck in to get checked out for a vibration while braking. After the inspection they wanted to charge me $129 just because brakes are not covered under the 3 year 36k warranty. I was told the brake failure was caused by me not driving the truck enough...Even though I drive it every day to and from work. Then they put this on my invoice after I told them I didnβt think I should pay for a diagnosis for a vehicle which is still under the 3 year 36000 mile warranty. Pic attached. Thanks Jamie, way to be professional.
Courteous staff, very helpful when it came to some concerns I had about the vehicle I just bought. Overall at this point I have no complaints. Until the day after I bring it to them for a minor problem with the weather stripping on drivers side door, guess if you buy a vehicle straight up & dont finance it, you get the shaft cause they made no money and from what I was shown they lost $311. So now its my problem. So for future reference dont buy a vehicle from them unless its financed & they can make money. SMH! Too bad, Ken the sales guy seemed so concerned but hes not the boss, Scott is & he didnt seem to give a rats arse in my opinion.
Walked into the dealership wanting to test drive a Jeep and walked out with the one of my dreams! Been wanting a Jeep since I was little. Was lucky enough to meet Ken Jackson when walking in and the second I told him my vision he came back with the keys to test drive what is my Jeep today! He listed to all my wants, concerns, and helped me feel confident in my purchase. BUT WAIT it gets better. Even with questions AFTER purchase I have his cell and feel no hesitation to texting or calling with ANYTHNG Jeep or car related from rims to oil changes. Dealerships are usually crummy places for me but Ken makes me feel like I pay a membership to belong to a special club.... especially since he takes a few minutes during every call to truly ask my about my day, not just answer my questions. Iβve been super happy with this place and will continue to recommend friends. Jeep on!
Awesome sales and service! After going through a ridiculous ordeal trying to purchase a car from another dealer, I went to Clare and met a great, well-trained, polite, personable and motivated salesman -- Chris W. After I said no thanks to one car, Chris had the common sense and sales expertise to ask the right questions. I told him what I wanted and left the dealership. Within 30 minutes, he called and offered a better deal than I had gotten after two weeks of negotiating (a totally unusual experience for me, especially for a car purchase) with another dealer........ We went to sign paperwork with Ken, which was another simple and flawless encounter. When I encountered a minor problem with the new vehicle (which turned out to be my error) and called the service department, I had another wonderful experience; kudos to Stephanie as well. Highly recommend this dealership for both sales and service!!
Awesome! I highly recommend you check this dealership out.
I walked into the dealership and out with a new Jeep in 2 hours flat! The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. I even had help transferring my belongings into the new car. This team went above and beyond my expectations. Very pleased with the service here.
Very nice falks. Tried to give all information about the car I asked. Were good to go to any mechanic in the area I would choose to check the car.
