Car was repaired, but Im suspicious of the diagnosis. My check engine light was on; service said I needed a new catalytic converter. Part (not in stock) would be $2k, plus labor. I opted to hold off on ordering it. I authorized some other engine maintenance and got an oil change. Light remained on for a few more days, but then it turned off by itself. Hmmmm....
