Love this place. They are fair, fast, and affordable. It even looks like they vacuumed and washed my car while they were working on it. Incredible customer service. My car wasn’t blowing air and had a bunch of other issues; they diagnosed everything and fixed it right up. Good people.

Wonderful people! Alternator died, and they replaced it, and then there were electrical issues due to it being a Mini. Told them Id have Mini look into the issue, and they called Mini to see what the issue was and basically got everything set up for me and gave me everything I needed to go to Mini with (issue was a part under warranty). They definitely didnt have to do that, and I REALLY appreciated the extra mile they went to help me out. Hopefully I dont have to go back, but if I do, I know Ill be in good hands!

I have had work done here many times . Very honest shop . The real test for me is when they fix something I don’t find my car back at the shop for a long time and absolutely never for the same problem . When I had an older car I found that they were very good at giving advice about the over all health of the vehicle which helped always with the decision of when it is time to move on rather than keep repairing. I found the shop by just reading online reviews and when I gave them a try they sold themselves. I would highly recommend giving them a chance .

Rear AC lines in my Expedition were leaking so no AC and in the midst of 90+ degree weather. Dealers were booked out 4-6 weeks and other independent shops couldn’t or didn’t want to deal with a time consuming job like this. I really hoped this would be a good place, I personally think most of these reviews are fake, or at the vey least friends and family, I am not sure. I had a lot of work done here, one of the many things I paid for was new brakes, which are terrible, I dont want to really type out my whole life story, but I dont want to give a bad review with no context. After bringing my car back I was told it is what it is, and thats the best its going to be. I really hope the rest of the work holds up if that is the warranty policy. Long story short, youll pay a lot for work, maybe its good, maybe its not.

Easy to say that I will be a customer for life. Recently I bought a used BMW X5 and heard all the horror stories about going to the dealer for repairs and services. I decided to try a local shop and it was the best decision I have ever made. The service manager Chris was the best I have ever dealt with. I had gotten a price for some work that needed to be done from the Audi dealership. Yikes!!I went to Essex as a result of a friend that I trust. They did all the repairs, and then some for slightly more than half the price that I had gotten from Audi. They even used OEM parts.They were pleasant as well as competent. I couldnt be happier. Scheduled an appointment based on a referral from a friend. The free vehicle inspection is comprehensive and includes pictures of every single detail including tire tread, vehicle exterior, drivetrain, etc. They worked with me to service routine service items at their shop and provided consultation on warranty items that can be resolved at the dealership. Was having loud growling noises from right wheel. ECAR quickly made appointment for me. Diagnosed with failing hub bearing. ECAR promptly made repair and gave me a loaner car to use while repair was made. They are very professional skilled mechanics whom I would heartily recommend to anyone! P.s.: I had purchased car over two years ago (it was already 10 years old then) and had had a rumbly noise from it from the start. It had seemed irritating, not dangerous. I came in to his shop with my truck idling rough. He was extremely nice and friendly right from the start. He came right out to my truck to take a look. He hooked up his scanner and advised me of my issue. I had a vacuum leak somewhere but we both couldnt find it at the moment. He said he could run a test for me if I were able to leave it with him for a little while. I agreed, and so he ended up doing a smoke test, found the air leak, fixed it and didnt charge me much at all for the repair.The fact that he went out of his way to help me so quickly despite being so busy. The way he was so friendly and easy to talk to and everything else about this place will make me always come back for future repairs. This was my first impression and it was a great experience. I was visiting Andover, MA from New York City with my family. The power steering hard line on our 2008 Camry broke and we were almost 4hrs from home and needed a vehicle.
